Fuzion Installation Help

The file you downloaded is a collection of files in a compressed format
to minimize transmission time and needs to be uncompressed to play Fuzion.

1) Make a new folder or directory to keep all the Fuzion game files in,
   for example "Program Files\FUZION".

2) Uncompress the downloaded file in this new directory.
   If you have FUZION28.EXE, it is self-extracting, just run it.
   If you have FUZION28.ZIP use a program like Winzip or PKunzip.

3) From the new FUZION folder click on the FUZION.EXE program to
   start the game. Be careful not to run FUZION28.EXE again or
   you will uncompress again and get errors about "overwriting".
   Depending on how your computer is set-up you may not see the
   .exe extension, click on the "executable" icon or use "Find"
   and "Run".

4) Windows 95/98 should automatically open a full screen MS-DOS
   window and launch the FUZION game. We recommend keeping the full
   screen for the best playability.

5) You can switch from a full screen to a Window with Alt-Enter,
   then click on the goofy-little-4-arrow icon to switch back to the
   full MS-DOS screen that Fuzion prefers.

Fuzion does not write to the Windows registry or install any files
outside of its directory. Fuzion is optimized to find fast solutions
to pentomino puzzles and minimizes the use of large audio or graphic
files that clutter things up.

If you are not clear about things like "folders" and "MS-DOS" you may
still be having problems. Sorry but we do not intend to explain clear
back to the beginning of time on this help page. There is no substitute
for taking time to learn computer basics. Read other "Help" menus and
your computer manuals and if all else fails try reading the screen.

All these Fuzion files should be in the same directory:

FUZION.EXE   - Run this main program to start the game.
FUZION.TXT   - Documentation and help text file.
FUZION.INI   - Initialization and hi scores. (Fuzion can/will recreate.)
6X10.SOL     - Typical file containing solutions. (Fuzion recreates.)
10X15.SOL    - Typical file containing solutions. (Fuzion recreates.)

FUZION28.ZIP (or FUZION28.EXE) - compressed set of all files for download.

Fuzion is a PC game and will not work on MACs, etc.
Designed for VGA  640 X 480  16 color mode or better.

Of course, a sufficiently well thought out specific question will often answer itself and vague questions are never ending.
