The plants are growing really well under vivarium conditions.
The Aeschynanthus has been pinched back and pushed to the rear, and is
now in bud again. The Alocasia 'Black Velvet' has shed all the older, smaller
leaves (grown during quarantine outside the tank) and has grown BIG sturdy
new leaves with much shorter petioles. A small Asplenium nidus sits below
it to help hide the Alocasia's pot. All these plants mean that even
with bright lighting, the frogs aren't afraid to come out because they
have enough shelter to feel secure. Unfortunately, they still aren't secure
enough to come out when there's a camcorder sitting in front of the vivarium!
