| My
two main family lines are Kitts from my fathers side and Shannon from my
Mothers side. Other family names included are Leffler, Tedder. Brassfield,
Wilkinson, Archer, Adkinson, Clavel, Campbell, Brooks, Clark, Lucas,
Jenkins, Curtis, Smith, Bott, Hamilton, Stanfield, Colvin, Monroe,
Claxton, Berry, Robinson, McGinnes, Jackson, Estridge, Harless and Chorn

I have
identified all my ancestors going back 5 generations. I am currently
working on generations and 7. I am also working on completing all
the descendants of Thomas Sherman Kitts. |

Kitts (1st
Generation)
I
guess my tie to the Kitts family is obvious. Much of the
information I have on the Kitts family is for the Thomas Sherman
branch. However, I have collected information from other people on
various other branches, but have not done much research on these
branches. I have done extensive research on the Kitts families in
Kokomo, Indiana. The first Kitts of my line to move to Kokomo from
Union County, Tennessee was James Arthur and his wife Clara along
with his brother (my Great-Grandfather) Sherman Hobart. Eventually
they were followed by their father and several brothers and
sisters. Currently I am working on completing all the descendants of
Thomas Sherman. |

Shannon
(2nd Generation)
This is where my interest in geneology all began.
My Grandfather (Eugene Shannon) began researching the family in the early
1970's. As I was growing up he was always telling family stories and
showing me his charts. A few years ago he passed away and I guess
I've picked up where he left off. Most of my information on the
Shannon, Teddar, Clavel and Campbell families came from his research. |

Leffler
and Wilkinson (3rd Generation)
These are the family names of my Grandmothers. One item on this
generation which I am researching is the adoption of my Grandmother (Madelynn
Wilkinson). Wilkinson is her adopted name. Prior to her death,
she did meet her birth mother, however few details are known. Her
birth mothers family name is believed to have been Matchette. |
