For more information and some fascinating growth patterns, here is a site that has a version of the program written in Java. You run it online. It has many initial configurations that you can select and then watch as they grow and die in amazing patterns. Conway's Game of Life. Enjoy.

CS 36 Mailing List

Thanks to one of the students in our class, Vadim Kogan, there is now a mailing list for this course. We will now be able to post articles related to the course to the mailing list and everyone who has subscribed will receive them.
