From tribeworld.com:

The Tribe Series 1-5 is being presented at the NATPE Television Festival in the United States of America. This is for syndication. The WB channel in San Fransico has already taken the syndication rights and it is envisaged that many more channels will follow suit. This means more Tribe episodes on a regular basis.

So jealous of San Francisco people right now. But it gives us hope!

Seriously? (SF person here). Any idea when it will start? And that means from season 1, right? I've only been a sporadic watcher since season 1 but, oh, I remember fondly the days when they were worried about the virus, when Dal and Xandra were alive, when Jack ruled the mall....

That? Is the best Tribe news I've heard in a long time. *fingers crossed* If other (and by that I mean my local) stations would pick it up it would soften the blow of only 6 more weeks of new episodes. Not to mention the long-delayed Series 2 dvds.

I'm still waiting for Ruby to get over the whole Slade thing. She was seeming mighty sympathetic to Ram and that would be an interesting pair. Of course, I'm also imagining the fun if, say in the last episode, Ebony would turn out to be pregnant with Slade's child. The fic practically writes itself.

Even though everyone had been acting strangely, it's awfully hard to tell the difference between an acting choice and bad acting, so I was glad to see the reveal of the 'plan' having worked. Though why the plan couldn't just be 'kill Mega' is kind of beyond me. He doesn't strike me as the type that would generate much loyalty.

You mean I soon might be able to see S1-3? Wow, I never thought that day would come. I'll keep my fingers crossed that a station here in L.A. picks it up.

I'm getting kinda bored with S5, to be honest. Mega's stupid obsession with game-like "torture" devices is laughable. And the whole Liberty gang really bugs me because they take so long to freakin' do anything! Gah! I do think Darryl is kinda funny, though.

Something I noticed in last week's eps really drove me crazy. Just before Jay left Liberty, he had dark roots. When he meets with Amber and Trudy in the city, he has no roots! When/why did he dye his hair before coming back to the city?!?! Jeezus, man, don't you have more important things to worry about?

Sammy must die.

Oh Lex Lex Lex... Just when I thought you were maturing you backslide right into Gel. Ewww. Haven't you learned anything? I was all about Lex and Ruby but now I totally see it going the way of Ram/Ruby.

And as much as I love Ruby when she's got it together, I cackled with glee over the catfight and having Ebony kick her ass. On a superficial note, I really love Ebony's new necklace.

Just when I think I can't possibly hate Trudy more... I know, I know. It was the end of the episode and we don't know if she ends up playing Mega but I have very little confidence in that happening.

Although the plan seems to have worked, I'm really concerned that Amber may have trashed her rep. which would have been useful to have when Ebony makes her power play to rule the City.

When Tribe 5 started I told Kel that many of the themes would repeat themselves, much like Buffy season 7. That's a bad thing cause I hated the kids in seaso 1. Trudy's behavior only solidifies my suspicions. *urge to kill rising* Everytime you think she's about to see the light, she says "you know, you are full of surprises!" Arrrrgh!

I really want Ruby to let the world know Slade is dying. That would be freakin' hilarious and it would be interesting to see Ebony's reaction. I'm dissapointed that Ruby is acting the way she is. But Ebony was acting quite the cow at the bar. I mean, since when does yelling at the bartender get you anything besides spit in your drink?

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I preferred Mouse to Lottie. Sammy still needs to die.

Ram/anybody is good enough for me.

Oh lord, that "you are full of surprises" crap was too annoying. Yeah, like when he put one of your friends through that torture game, Trudy? That Mega's a real head-scratcher. Although its always funny to see how disgusted Mega gets when having to deal with physical contact.

Its nice to see how Lex is actually appreciating what type of person Jack is.

Really hoping that May doesn't come back to the Mall again.

*cries* The whole long post I just wrote got eaten. Must try to remember...

Okay, I understand the need for suspense and new revelations but I feel like there is too much going on that we the audience don't know about. Considering the possibilities, it seems a little late in the game to be bringing up this mindwipe thing. And considering how much Ram seems to have been secretly monitoring Mega/the City, he has to have known about this. Does he have some scheme for himself? Or a scheme with Slade? There's been little satisfying explanation of what Slade is doing and I'm still of the opinion that it's personal. It just seems too pointed that every time Mega's caught stuff on tape, Slade's face has been obscured. I feel like there's too much to fit in with only three weeks left.

Then there's Ruby - pregnant. How/why did they bring on such an interesting person and turn her into this? Then we also get stuck with Lottie, Sammy, and Gel who are not only annoying but who serve little purpose. I may hate Trudy with the fire of a thousand burning suns but she both has history and functions as the person who's always screwing up. Oh god, I just sort of defended Trudy. But really, they may not have convents in this crazy new world but they need to just lock her up away from their enemies and any male over the age of fourteen.

I just realized this mornig that there's only about 4 or so weeks left in S5. What will I do for my cheese fix after that? What are the chances WAM! might start showing pre-S4 seasons?

Sammy must die.

Only 3 weeks, roosterboy. March 11th is the end. I wish we'd hear some news about other stations picking it up for syndication otherwise my friends in the San Fransisco area may grow to hate me and my incessant demands that they tape the show for me. I do only need Series 2 though.

Oh, the tragedy that is Ruby. It's so messed up. But I gotta say I LOVED it when Ruby told Slade that she was having his baby and that was all there was to it. So that's a little glimmer of the old Ruby. Ebony's reaction is awesome.

*does the little dance of being right* So Slade and Mega are brothers, eh? well, it still leaves me wondering if Slade has already apprised Ram of this fact. And if Slade is aware of what Ram is doing - whatever that is exactly.

Way to spring more surprises on us with so few episodes left to go. Not that it matters since there's no Tribe 6 waiting in the wings, but I hope the return of Alice, KC, and the Guardian aren't quickie deals like Tai-san turned out to be. Especially since... well, of all the times this show has made me feel like a dirty old lady, this is by far the worst. KC sure did get cute - he went away a boy and came back a man. *rowr* I'm looking forward to seeing more of him - perhaps some gratuitous shirtlessness?

I'm not too caught up emotionally in Jay's mindwipe - better him than Amber. And again I have to wonder, did Ram engineer it that way? Is this part of his plan? Dammit! What is his plan?! Inquiring minds want to know.

OOooooooh! Amnesia is my bulletproof kink! I mourn the day that there are few good fic writers in Tribe. I would love to read a fic about Jay/Amber and amnesia. It could be like all the Spuffy fics where Buffy tries to reconnect with Soulcrazy!Spike. Shit, I'd write it myself but who has the time for an epic angst fest? Jay could even be a new enemy, inexplicably drawn to our favorite Zulu knotted girl, while he hurts the tribe and Amber could be impossibly conflicted, and damn I'm now reciting a B/A fic season 2.

BWUH?! KC was with Bray? Alice and the Gaurdian? KC being hott? My mind is spinning. God help me my love for crazy Ram is reaching scary porportions. Scary.porportions. I even found him sexy when he was being all crazy to Mega on the computer. I was shivering in delight when he was hinting at murder. Oh if only Ram could have some messed up relationship...a Darla to his Angelus. Or a Drusilla, an innocent he curropts and then that innocent could turn on him when he least expects it and there would be drama and hate!sex and tears and angst and revenge and maybe Ram would be locked up somewhere being crazy. It's just too cool to think about.

Now Ebony is a puzzle. I honestly did not expect her to show such concern for Jay and Amber. But she was totally right about Ram. I really think that Ram has got his own plan. If the writers were more consistent and face it, better, I think Ram would have subtly screwed over all his old enemies. Under this rubric, Jay's mind wipe would not be accidental. Even Amber's survival would make sense since a nut like Ram would see that as fair play in war and NOT betrayal. Also, I think that Ram understimates Amber. ANd his little talking computer cracks me up. Although I wonder if Ram's brain program in the computer was not evidence of his knowledge of Mega's memory wiping abilities as much as it was evidence of his creation of artificial intelligence.

KC was with Bray?

OMG! I am so stupid in that just now seeing this written out makes me realize that Bray hasn't been deleted. And one could easily infer that others who we think have been deleted, really haven't been. Which opens up a world of possibilities for the next series/sequel/other Tribe-verse stories - depending on what actors they could get to return.

So then Season 6 will be Season 3 with a dash of Season 4 and a pinch of Season 5?

They should have kept Jay stupid. It's like when the blind are miraculosly cured and can see.

Lex is an idiot, though I'll blame Gel for some of it. Now for all the women out there, let's be honest. No one's stopping her because they're enjoying watching her strike out and act like a bigger idiot than normal and honestly, all of us would have been there laughing with Trudy, Selene, and May.

Does anyone know if there will be a Season 6? I ask because there are no episode synopsis for a Season 6 at Tribeworld and they're usually up for the next season by the time our season ends.

If there is a Season 6. They keep stringing us along, like there may be one in the future, but the actors are going to move on to other projects pretty soon, if they haven't already.

So, Josh, huh? I do admit, he did look boyishly cute when incarcerated, but I can feel pity for almost anyone. Not that I didn't already think he's hot. Loved how he made Ram his bitch for like a minute. But the whole Ram thing is stupid. Why even allow him near the computers, except for when they were restoring Jay's memory? He lost the right to do anything for the city when he was busy enslaving everyone.

I'd ask you to calm down about Ram, but why should you? Nothing tops the Season 4 Java/Ram/cyber-reality-space Lex scene, though.

So the last episode has yet to inspire any posts? It really did seem kind of final, didn't it? Still, I was disappointed that the Alice/KC/Guardian business went nowhere. It's great that it leaves open a world of possibilities but at the same time it seems as pointless as Tai-san's brief reappearance.

On the pleasing side, the ending didn't actually feel quite as rushed as I'd feared it would considering that both the A.I. plot and the chem lab came up and were resolved very late in the season. I may have more to say about that stuff after a rewatch.

I do have to admit that as an Ebony apologist, my mouth was agape when she pushed Ruby in front of the truck. It's been quite a while since she did anything that blatantly evil.

If this really is the end (please no, please!), I think I can accept the way it went out. I'm definitely curious as to future plans - most notably, exactly what the difference between a 'series 6' and a sequel would be.

IMO, a miniseries of Tribe would be good enough for me. And it doesn't have to be concretely tied up, just give us a heads up about how the gang possibly leaving the city has anything to do with the sequel.

That would get us all primed for Tribe: New Beginnings. Now is an excellent time to plan this because the US market is ready to expand. With the WB picking up on Tribe, the fanbase can only get bigger.
