The next time the Season 4 finale airs is at the end of the New Years Day marathon at 2:30am on Jan 1st/2nd. After that it'll be on Sat, Jan 24 5:30PM and Sun, Jan 25 5:00PM. So set your VCR's!

Raksha, I've been trying to get in touch with you! Please email me so I can send you the last Season 4 tape.
On topic, despite having watched Season 4 and having it all on tape, I found myself leaving the channel on the marathon all day yesterday. I managed to snag on tape their little thing about DragonCon. I did find it really encouraging that in the commercials they talked about the marathon as being "what you wanted" and that The Tribe is their post popular series. I think that bodes well for Season 5.

Word! Brady is not a lucky kid. I admit, I laughed when Trudy dropped Baby Bray like a rock and went into instant hysterics. How's about keeping your baby with you to keep her from getting snatched?

The Tribe movie! Huzzah! I have no idea what it's going to be about and we Americans will probably only get to see it bootleg about 2 years after everyone else, but I'm excited!

Raksha, yep, I did. I held off on mailing since you said you wouldn't be back at school for 2 weeks. I expect to mail it tomorrow or Wednesday.
Stardancer2001, check out the Tribe community over at PanFandom. A lot of people seem to have drifted over there.
As for the movie, my wish is that it would be pre-Tribe. Though, if they can't get Dwayne Cameron, it would be pretty disappointing. Bray has such an important pre-Tribe story and I can't imagine anyone else playing him.
I was telling dreago this weekend about my suspicions regarding Season 5 on WAM. I happen to believe we will get it - the question is when. According to my calculations, Season 4 will finish reshowing on Friday nights at the end of May. So, theoretically it could start then but... remember it went on hiatus last summer. So, if they take it off Friday nights for the summer, they could start 5 in September or if they do keep showing it on Friday night, 4 would end around Thanksgiving and they could start 5 in December. Just wanted to pop in and say that I'm a new Tribe convert. Howdy!
I just started watching about a week or so ago and I'm absolutely hooked! Although it's odd, because, if pressed, I'd have to admit that I find a lot of the acting, dialogue, music and costumes individually painfully horrid. But for some reason they work when you put them all together. I'm addicted to this show.
Anyone know if WAM! is going to show any of the earlier seasons after they finish the current run of Series 4? Am I correct in understanding that they don't show Series 1?
Silly question time: I find myself obsessing over what appears to be a minor background character. I call him "TechFro" because, well, he's a Techno and he has a kick-ass 'fro behind that metal mask thingie they wear. Do we ever learn anything about this enigmatic character or am I doomed to wonder about him forever?
Silly question time II: I really like Dee (don't ask me why) but does she remind anyone else of one of the chickens from Chicken Run? I think it's the hair and accent mostly.

Hey roosterboy, welcome! Unfortunately, since I can't seem to picture this 'TechFro' I'm afraid he must not end up being a major player. Also unfortunately, you've started watching when it's Season 4 all the time. Last year it was Season 3 over and over. I started getting hooked in August of 2002 and I caught the last part of Season 2 but they haven't shown that since. I check the WAM schedule every month so I'll be sure to say something if anything changes. I also put together a schedule of what episode is on at what time - just let me know if you'd like a copy of that so you can get all caught up.

Wow, I really had no idea how popular The Tribe is; it's pretty amazing.
dreago, I read several of the recaps at Panfandom and was happy to see that someone else (scapebabe, IIRC) noticed "TechFro" (aka Tito Jackson) too! He rocks.
kellygirl, do you know if WAM! is going to start Series 4 again. I'd like to see the early eps now that I've seen the back half of the season.
And hey, I dig Dee too. But what was with her "Dominatrix Dee" look around Ep.14 or so (the earliest I've yet seen)?
Ah, WAM! is starting S4 over. Cool. And I guess I now know why Dee was all leathery in the earlier eps. Man, I wish I could see S1-3...

Heehee, you noticed Tito, too! He can also be seen as an extra in Atlantis High as well.
As for Dee, the reason she had that 'Dominatrix look' was because before she was a Mallrat, she was a member of an all female tribe called the Mosquitoes or the Mozzies who all dressed like that.
I heard a little rumor that we -will- be getting S5. Now whether we get castmembers at DragonCon is a different story alltogether...but we're working on it!

Roosterboy, sorry it's taken me so long to answer your question. My only excuse is that I didn't write a note for myself. Anyway, the next time that Season 4 is starting over from the beginning will be on Wednesday, February 25th at 5pm. So Monday through Saturday sequential episodes will air at 5pm and 5:30pm. I think sometime in March the late night episodes will restart too - must check schedule.

I already knew from the Tribe website (back when I was a diehard fan) that alot of the markings and makeup weren't random (although some of the crap so obviously is) but taken from cultures, especially native Maori, but it was still cool to see Whale Rider an Oscarish movie, and recognise the markings during the concert (the dark lips and swirly beard on girls chins) as Chloe's S4 makeup on 'my' TV show. Makes me feel cooler about watching. Heh.
