Ulterior Motive Pride is pretty hot (although lagging behind Pralene Pride and the number one champ topless Pride).

I vote: #1 Topless Pride, #2 Ulterior Motive Pride, and #3 Pralene Pride. Because I hate Salene, and think Pride could do better.

Siav is being very stupid. Getting Lex freaked out and insecure about their relationship when he's the only reason she's lasted this long there is gonna get her kicked out.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Actually, now I think Siva's playing smart. Lex getting freaked out is just the right way to make him pay attention to you, as witnessed by how utterly whacked he got when he was convinced that Tai-San was sleeping with the Guardian. Oh god, I'm ascribing motive to Monique's character again! Somebody help me, please...

I don't understand WAM's scheduling. I heard (from this board I think) that they were going on hiatus for the summer. When does that start?
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Alas, chica345, the episode on May 30th was the last new one we shall see until September. WAM needs to die, die, die. Oh, well. At least there's The Tribal Digest to keep me warm at night when I start getting twitchy because I've been so denied. Those bastards.

While I'm not at all pleased by this uncalled for hiatus on new episodes, I'm at least glad that I feel there's been some solid forward motion.
Personally, I find it hard to believe that Siva's playing any sort of game with Lex or Patch or anyone. She's never seemed to be as much of a schemer (perhaps she's just not bright enough) as either of her sisters. And now that she's "free" I think it's been a chance for her real personality to come out - I think she's pretty guileless and straightforward, maybe a bit self-centered but still a nice person.
As hot as Ulterior Motive Pride is, I don't quite understand how can be so clever when half the time the game leaves him so out of touch with reality. I do like seeing him as multi-layered instead of unfailingly noble and wise. So when do we get to see him in some sort of reality-space challenge so there can be more Shirtless Fighting Pride?

Was anyone else singing hallelujah when Ebony figured out about image manipulation! I was practically cheering her on.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh yes, oh yes, oh yes. But it's no secret that I'm rather pro-Ebony these days. Geez, I even got a little teary-eyed at her running to apologize to Jay and how he just seemed to melt when she did so. That's an image that'll hold me through the summer - I hope.

I miss The Tribe! I guess it's for the best though since I would home for approximately 0 showings during the summer. Anyone know if they just plan all showing Season 3 all the time?
Scapebabe, thanks for the link to Tribal Digest. Great site, but I'm so spoiled now I feel as though my brain may explode.
ETA: Show answered my Salene question.

Chica345, I think they are going to be showing some Season 3 still but as of the 13th they're going to be reshowing Season 4 over again from the beginning. The airtimes have all changed though. If anyone's interested, every month I make a Word document with all the airtimes and episode numbers so if you want it just email me and I'll email it back to you.
Even though I should've remembered it wasn't going to be on Friday night, I forgot and was so pissed that I didn't have it to look forward to. There was swearing and everything. At least with the reshowing of Season 4, it'll be on an almost daily basis instead of the lousy half-hour per week.

I was puttering around this morning before work, and Xena was on. It was their 'Solstice' aka Christmas episode, and who should be leading the orphans but our boy Danny James, aka Zoot!
So it made me think about the other kids who've done roles on Herc and Xena.
Amy Morrison, aka Zandra, played Hope in the 'Maternal Instincts' arc, until she grew up to be a Gabrielle clone.
Caleb Ross, aka Lex, played Temecula the archer in 'A Good Day'.
Miriama Smith, aka Moz, played one of Cleopatra's handmaidens in 'Antony and Cleopatra'.
Beth Allen, aka Amber, played the half-Horde girl in 'Daughter of the Pomira'.
Michelle Ang, aka Tai-San, played the little Japanese girl who's name I can't remember in the Xena finale 'A Friend In Need'.
Anyone recall any others?
I think Dwayne's made at least one appearance but I'm not sure in what episode.

My sister found this website that has lists of Kiwi Acotrs. very funny to see that Jay was ugly drunk slob on Being Eve. It has some Xena and Herclules. is the pool of actors that tiny or is it Cloud Nine domination?

Attn: Dragon*Con Attendees!
Folks over at con have asked for assistance in getting an idea of how many people will be attending Dragon*Con, and a rough idea of their ages to they can handle the track programming appropriately. To assist, I've set up a poll on the official bulletin board here.
Please go cast your vote, and the results will be turned over to the folks at Dragon*Con. This message has been x-posted to various communities, but if you see it more then once, you only need to vote one time. Also, if you are part of any Tribe communities where this message has not appeared, please feel free to x-post it yourself. Thanks!

Everyone who attends will get to meet them. I don't know how closely I'll be working with them, but we'll see. :) In the meantime...
The Tribetrack now has its own Livejournal community for feedback, updates, and questions. If you'd like to check it out, it's located at:

If you'd like a Livejournal, let me know and I'll see what can be done about getting you a code - they're extremely limited, though!

I'm finally catching up on season four. Thank God for WAM's screwed up schedule.
But, they seriously cleaned house with the characters didn't they? Bray, Alice, Luke, the twins, and a couple more characters whose names I can't remember, gone. I know that the actor who played Bray didn't want to return, but Alice? Noooooo!!! I'll take Alice anyday over her whinyass sister. Plus, she could act!!
I'm assuming they had to make some cuts to make room for all the new characters, but cripes, did they have to axe Alice?
And I know the twins weren't very popular, but I loved Andy. I could just imagine him, after getting kicked around again, discovering the wonders of a Rage Diary.
I probably would have stopped watching if they'd booted Ebony as well. Love that girl. Starting to warm to Lex. I have a thing against "bad boy" characters. But, imo, Lex is probably one of the better portrayals of this archetype I've seen in a long time. Of course, he's easier to tolerate when he's not hanging around Tai San. God, I *hate* that girl!!

I actually liked the twins - I thought Tally in particular was adorable, and the pair were wonderfully clever.
I'm watching S1 finally - I used to really like Tai-San, but my god, what a bitch!

I have a confession to make. I watch The Tribe. I think I love The Tribe.
I've been watching the show every day since I started receiving the WAM channel. Such wonderful teenage melodrama, so many pretty shirtless boys. (Mmmm Lex and Bray). Now I'm eagerly awaiting the end of season 4/beginning of season 5, especially now that I've found an intelligent forum to discuss the show in.

re: Season 1
I try not to pay any attention to characterization in Season One. They were all whiny, self absorbed brats that needed spankings badly. The social worker in me feels guilty for my violent rage and tells me to show some compassion for their obviously traumatized behavior and all their acting out, but the t.v. watcher in me doesn't want to spend 26 hours listening to quarreling children.
*Ahem.* I have S1 issues.
I have to say though, that my fave season so far is Season 3. The actors are comfortable with their characters, the continuity is consistent (No more, "where's Paul?") and most of the squabbling has been squelched as the Mallrats have a common enemy to divert their energies to. Of course, there is still some infighting, but now it is entertaining. Plus, I think Season 3 had some of the best actors available at the time. Alice, Mozzie, Ebony, Tai-San, Amber and Lex all pulled in some solid performances. Newcomers Luke and The Guardian were believable despite the high campiness factor. Trudy was irritating, but as an actress, you can see Antoinette get better throughout the season. Most of the annoying little children were gone.
Of course, I'm enjoying season 4 but I want to withold judgement till I see the whole season. *shakes fist at WAM!*
So, what's your pick for best season?
(please try to limit the discussion to seasons 1-4 and only eps. aired in the US as some of us are trying to remain spoiler free, at least untill dragonCon.)

That's an impossible question! Aside from the fact that Season 1 is in last place. It just floundered a bit too much and no one was likeable. Although the latter part, with the reoccurence of the virus, was compelling.
Season 3 does have consistency on it's side. It's a really coherent story with enjoyable characters. And despite liking far fewer people in Season 4, I do find the storyline interesting. It's the most cerebral so far. Perhaps it's the mystery of the unknown (I haven't seen all of it) or the overload of angsty goodness, but I have very positive feelings about Season 2. It's as if a lot more thought was put into how these kids ended up the way they did and there's also a lot of forward motion. Not to mention a really kickass cliffhanger.

Wow...favorite Season? I'm going to say 3. It was probably the best written, had the coolest costumes and the most interesting (if admittedly tongue in cheek) storyline.
Hey, I've got a question for folks...what do you think of Danni from Season 2? She's not well liked in the general areas of fandom, commonly referred to as the "replacement Amber" and the "mupper".

I've only seen seasons 3 and 4. With all the cast adding and subtracting, romances, plot, villians, and character development and growth they both fall pretty even to me.(bet you all thought I was going to say Season 4 huh?) I've read some of Season 1 on Tribal Digest and it all sounds rather bad. I keep meaning to catch up on Season 2. Is that any better?
Oh and I had a You Know You're Obsessed with The Tribe moment the other day when I was writing an essay for English and I had capitalized the word pride every time I used it. I also giggled at praline ice cream.

I was never all that fond of Danni. Aside from her irritating voice, she seemed like such a hypocrite. Although she was all about a "bill of rights," she was perfectly comfortable lying to people to keep them in line. And she gave even Ebony a run for her money as far as insecurity is concerned.

Well, I actually saw S2 before I saw S1, so I never knew what Amber was like before, so Danni never bothered me. I thought she was really pretty. But now that I can compare the two, I do prefer Amber. But the outrageous Danni-hate over on the Tribeworld boards is silly.
And yet, the name "Mupper" never ceases to make me giggle.

I've totally lost my tolerance for the Official BB. I only post there to make announcements for the track now. If I want intelligent discussion, I'll come here, or go to TTA, or Undead.
I too, giggle at the word "Mupper". I didn't like Danni's personality either, but I loved her style - especially that oxblood and grey corset, and then later she had that 'do that wasn't all frizzy and purply makeup. Purty!
For awhile she had an outfit not dissimilar to Ebony's, but in cooler (as in lighter, not hip) colors. Some people thought it was a whole 'two sides of the same coin' thing, but I don't think the frock tarts over at C9 are that deep.
