The KARATE MAGAZINE and early promotional photos were part of a package of JC items
purchased from a LA area dealer. The French magazine is autographed in FOUR places, and the note on the "cover" declares
the photograph to be "Jean Claude Van Varenberg." If you look closely at the cover you will note that
it is signed both "Jean Claude," which is unusual to find these days, and a very scrawly signature very similar to two examples
which are over on the "Main" page on the "Authenticating Signatures page." Full scans of this magazine are available

On the "early promotional pics JC himself has PRINTED his name on the backs of
each photo ... a happy surprise, since the dealer who sold them did not know this. If I have enough disk space left
when the galleries are finished I will add scans of them.
All of the photos of "JC and MARIA" are JC and Maria Amelia Rodriguez (his first
wife) and were sent to me by "Melly" (Maria Rodriguez) from her personal collection.
