"Ideas for Romance"
Well here's the part you've been waiting for...

Romance is not always about large bouquets, lavish gifts and material things. True romance is best displayed by the little
things you do for your loved one from day to day. Here is some inspiration...
- Massages with scented oil
- Kisses on the neck
- Leave love notes around for your partner to find
- E-mail love letters to your partner
- Send magazine or newspaper clippings of interest to your partner
- Run a hot bubble bath for your partner after a hard day (place some rose petals in the water :-)
- Wear your partner's favorite cologne or perfume
- Enjoy each other's presence in comfortable silence
- Watch the sunrise and/or sunset together
- Hand your partner an "I Love You" Mylar balloon out of the blue
- Slip a Hershey's kiss into their coat or purse for them to find at work
- Take a stroll along the beach
- Hold hands while walking down the street
- Kiss in the rain
- Be generous with compliments and praise
- Cuddle on the couch while watching video rentals
- Feed your partner morsels of food from your plate
- Call your partner by a "pet name"
- Express thanks and appreciation when your partner does something thoughtful
- Tell your partner the reasons why you love them
- Share a banana split or an ice-cream sundae
- Make each other laugh
- Watch a snowfall together
- Decorate a Christmas tree together
- Kiss them when they walk into the room
- Cook a meal together
- Make a cassette tape of your honey's favorite love songs and play it for them "just because"
- Treat your lady like she needs to be treated guys. Open the door for your lady, help her put her coat on and walk on
the outside of the sidewalk. Show her that chivalry is not dead.
Of course from time to time you need to pull out all the stops. Certain occasions like Valentine's Day, birthdays and
anniversaries do call for something extra special. But keep in mind that any day is a reason to go all out for your loved one!
We'll give you a few ideas to get your romantic juices flowing...
- Meet your lover after work with packed luggage in hand and whisk him/her away on a weekend getaway without telling
where you're going.
- Do what we did: Be adventurous and take a hot air balloon ride at sunrise or sunset.
- To all you native New Yorkers: take a week's vacation and see Manhattan from a tourist's perspective. Visit
the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, Rockerfeller Center, United Nations, museums, art galleries, Harlem, South
Street Seaport, Times Square, theme restaurants and all the other places you haven't visited since you went on that grade
school class trip. You've lived here all your life and you know you haven't done it.
- Rent a limousine and go to that expensive restaurant you've been dying to try.
- Announce to your lover that tomorrow will be their special day. Treat them to a day of pampering which includes all their
favorite things and don't let them lift a finger all day.
- Take your lover on a picnic - not a ham sandwich and Coke picnic, but one with some class. How about an intimate breakfast
in a scenic park? Set a rose in a bud vase on a blanket and indulge in mimosas, quiche, fruit salad drizzled with amaretto,
croissants and gourmet coffee. Such fare speaks of elegance and shows your partner that you actually spent time planning
something out of the ordinary.
- Take out a full page ad in your local newspaper declaring your undying love for your sweetie. Or
better yet, contact a company that will create a custom newspaper for you. You will write your own articles,
personals, headline and horoscope so your honey will know what's in store for them that day ;-)
