Historic Virginia Documents (09/16/01) An on-line index with links to all major documents of Virginia History. Maintained by the Library of Virginia this site has links for everything from Thomas Hariot's 16th Century "A Briefe and True Report of the New Found Land of Virginia" to the 1971 Virginia Constitution. Easy access to such documents as the Virginia declaration of Rights, The Virginia Statue of Religious Freedoms, the Virginia Resolves. the Trial of John Brown, etc. An excellent source of original documents for the teaching of Virginia history, civics, and government.
