"Bad Guys"

Emperor Kargeth

Yes, he's the man you *love* to hate, the man behind the tyranny of it all, the great Emperor Kargeth! (If I started clapping now, I think my players would axe me.)

Emperor Kargeth is a middle-aged man with the girth of a bear and the magic of a dragon. He holds the Empire together in a tight-fisted grip by both spell and sword. Kargeth is pleased to be the first man ever to rule all of Lunar, and that has made him extremely arrogant, although none dare challenge his rule. Since all of Lunar is under his domain, he turns his thoughts towards the conquering of other worlds... and the vengeance of his god.

Update as of Session #90: However, the party faced off against him in the peak of his Citadel and thwarted his ambition.

Gausuton

Gausuton is a high ranking member of House Banshee, and only answers to the heads of his house or to Emperor Kargeth himself. He was the one responsible for kidnapping Valina and the tome the party needs to learn more about the Serpent Staff.

Update as of Session #86: Gausuton was slain while under the apparent control of the Serpent Staff. But in killing him had the party done just as their enemies planned?

Garreth

Garreth is a red-haired young warlock with wild green eyes. But his age hasn't prevented him from rising up into the ranks of House Banshee. This quick-tempered, perhaps even demented, warlock is willing to do anything to achieve glory for himself and damn everything else to hell along his way. He had a fight with Arzel some years ago, but thinks little of it other than it was a form of amusement.

Update as of Session #63: The party defeated Garreth for the final time in a battle in a House Erde manor when Valina's pendant foiled his attempts to kill the party.

Bane

Lord Bane is the head of House Flysse. The party had the unfortunate luck (or foolhardiness, depending on how you look at it) to met him while he was personally overseeing the requisition of supplies at the small village of G'kal. He soundly trounced the party when they attacked him on behalf of the villagers and the animals his people had mutated and tortured.

Update as of Session #73: Soon after the party freed T'lain, they fought and killed Bane to retrieve the White Dragon Wings.

Camille

Camille is a raven-haired woman the party met not far from the entrance to Geint's cave. Unable to cast spells in the customary fashion, Camille relies on playing her flute to enact her song and ice magic. Possessed of swift thought and a seemingly single-minded attitude, Camille supposedly entered the cave in search of the legendary red dragon to ask its help in combating the warlock strongholds to the north.

Upon discovering the red dragon might not be as powerful as she initially thought, Camille decided to stay with the party to better understand the future Dragonmaster and his companions.

Update as of Session #40: Camille has mysteriously vanished after the party escaped from House Flysse's dungeons.

Update as of Session #74: Camille has returned wearing the magically corrrupted Blue Dragon Helmet and Red Dragon Shield. The Empire had chosen her to be one of their new champions, and she would bear the Dragon arms. Apparently she is a part of House Protectoriate.

Update as of Session #80: Camille was defeated by the party in the Phoenix Lair and her Dragons items taken back. It is unclear whether or not she perished from her wounds after the battle because after she was knocked unconscious the party went about its business and then left.

Zara

Zara is a proud Urdian warrior who lived long ago in Lunar's past. She wears her long crimson hair in a thick braid and wields a large spear as she chosen weapon. Her spirit appeared to Ayeye while she was trapped in the void that is the only afterlife that her people know. Zara is very bitter over the defeat of her people by the native Lunarians, but once saw something in Ayeye that might bring an end to that hatred.

Yegaar

Yegaar is a renegade warlock who practices the necromatic arts. Many years ago, Tarrant's grandfather stole a special variety of star magic from him, and Yegaar has recently decided that he absolutely must get it back. He believes that Tarrant possesses it (perhaps rightly so), and has threatened to burn Vane to the ground unless Tarrant gives it back to him.

Update as of Session #43: Yegaar apparently needs the star magic in order to transform into a lyche--an undead wizard.

Update as of Session #45: Yegaar defeated Tarrant, Arzel, Rein, and Ayeye when they confronted him atop his tower. Since then he has probably completed his transformation.

Update as of Session #67: The party defeated Yegaar in a climatic battle to retrieve the Pegasus Feather.

Damon

Zara directed Ayeye to find the warlock Damon of House Nissa, who should be able to help her learn more about her past. Originally he was interested in converting Ayeye to fight for House Nissa, but later realized her to be a hopeless case (from his perspective). Ayeye was too devoted to her companions (more specifically Kadan) to leave them.

Damon is an unusually powerful and dangerous mage who, like Ayeye, is descended from the powerful Urdian warrior, Zara. He is forever shrouded in secrery, never showing his face from the folds of his cloak until his final battle with the party. The apparent reason for doing this is that Damon's unhuman appearance. His skin is inhumanly pale and rather than having rounded irises, his eyes are slitted.

During the final battle Ayeye discovered she was unable to use Zara's Spear against him (Damon said the Spear will not strike those of Zara's blood), but nonetheless he was defeated (almost literally blown away by Rein's Chaos Call spell) by the party at the doors to the Goddess Tower.

Kaytel

Kaytel was the warlock Jael's spirited younger brother. Though both brothers had a strong sense of honor and loyalty to the Empire, Kaytel was so zealous his anger and faith blinded him to all other possibilties. Since the moment Kaytel met the party he had been consumed by the desire to defeat them and avenge Jael. Kaytel got the final battle against the party he wished for near the peak of the Goddess Tower. Sadly, he was unable to defeat them and passed the way of his brother.

Nissa

The mad god of the Urdians entered the world of Lunar when the three Pendant Barriers unwitting opened the gate between the worlds of Lunar and Maharahd. Nissa was very much like Althena in his devotion to his people, and at one point was a god who cared for his people kindly and without reservation. But circumstances forced him to change when he discovered someone was leeching away the life's blood of Maharahd. His inability to help his dying people eventually drove him insane, and he had come to Lunar to retrieve the life stolen from his world. However the Dragonmaster and his companions defeated his corporeal body when he possessed Kargeth's corpse. Now the horror of the Urdian god is over, and perhaps Lunar can begin a new era...
