Ian, Reese, and Finn
These three are Kadan's magic hunting compadres from way back when he first got into the business. Ian is the tallest and usually speaks for the group. Reese carries a great sword and a rope for his weapons. He was the man who first got Kadan into the magic hunting routine. Reese is the most jovial of the group, although admittedly not the brightest. Finn, to quote Kadan, "He once... well... umm.... well, we all like Finn." Finn speaks the least of the bunch, and it could be said that he's the darker member of the trio.
Ian, Reese, and Finn are technically "good guys" since they fight against the Magic Empire. However they fight all magic in general as well, and that has made them antagonists with a majority of the party members.
Shadowcats
The shadowcats are enigmatic tribe of beings. Along with the Dragon, Phoenix, and Pegasus Tribes, their existence prevents the return of certain group of beings. They were thought to be extinct until it was revealed that Kadan is the last of their kind. Not much about this tribe is known by the common races of Lunar. What little Geint is familiar with is imparted here.
The shadowcats commonly take the form of large black-furred panthermen standing roughly seven to seven and a half feet tall. This form has a tail, catlike lower limbs, and a definately feline head. They are innately aligned with the darkness element.
Shadowcats can live for some 150 years or so. The young look like humans up until they reach their late twenties, early thirties. Then they begin a metamorphosis into their adult forms, which are patherlike humanoids. The metamorphosis is proceeded by subconscious use their shadow viewing ability, aching in the hands, wrists, and ankles, and among symptoms.
These creatures possess a special ability called shadow viewing where they can literally call up the shadows of the past around them. This is normally a very time consuming process if done consciously. However it can take as little as a few seconds to perform if it's based around an event the shadowcat had witnessed him/herself and is unconsciously done. This variation of shadow viewing is the one that the shadowcat faces when maturing.
The Nightmare
An enigmatic equine creature with a coat of midnight and hooves and mane of smoke. He first appeared to the party when they tried to open the tome containing the information on the Serpent Staff back in the Urdian Temple. Later, when the tome was opened by the power of the three Pendant Bearers, the Nightmare appeared again to the party and showed them the deceased world of the Urdians. He revealed to them much that they knew nothing of before, especially the reason for the Urdian invasion of Lunar long ago. The Nightmare was to Nissa what the dragons are to Althena, and thus is a powerful holy creature.
Despite his former connection with the god Nissa, he says he has been forsaken. Because he cares for his wayward people and he cannot watch out for them on Lunar, he helps the party by giving them enchanted weapons and armor. More than anything else he wants to bring peace to the people of both worlds.
