Now that you have time to stop and think, you realize that Earendil, Liana, and Elanor aren't here. To make matters worse, T'lain says they never even arrived. Kadan squints. Valina: Great! Ayeye: They never arrived? Valina: Oh dear... T'lain nods his head sharply. "Yes, they haven't. Or if they did they did so outside and never came in. But if they were to meeet you here I would think they would have come inside." Ayeye: Uh oh... Kadan: Something is going on here... T'lain: Perhaps... You did get the Phoenix Robe though, didn't you? Kadan looks over to Arzel. T'lain turns his head to look at Arzel. "Ah, so that's it, then? It little more eccentric than I expected, but then the Phoenix isn't much for intermortality relationships." Kadan rubs his chin. "This is disturbing. I'm tempted to say we should press on to Killith and help Dayus, but that would probably ruin their plan. What can we accomplish without our 'Dragonmaster'?" Ayeye: Anything we want to. Kadan: True... I suppose we shouldn't overlook the asset of our ship. Rein looks to Kadan, waiting for a decision. Ayeye: I think we should go on to Killith, it sounds like fun! Valina: ... Valina: Ummm... not without Ear! Ayeye: Why not? Kadan shakes his head. Kadan looks over to Rein. "I know you might not know any more than we do... but do you know where your sister might be?" Ayeye frowns. "Well we can't just sit here and do nothing!" T'lain: I think that is a likely conclusion. Do you have any idea where your Dragonmaster would want you to go next? Ayeye tries to look offended. "He is not my Dragonmaster." T'lain: All right then. Your Dragonmaster companion. Ayeye: And I have no idea... I don't think we planned this far ahead... Ayeye: We can decide for ourselves. Ayeye looks at the others. "Can't we?" Kadan: ... Kadan: I have been travelling with him a while, and I guess I still don't know him all that well. Kadan: But I think we should locate Rein's sister if we have the chance. Earendil is probably doing his best to come back here. Valina: I don't want to get hurt... Valina: He promised he would protect me. Valina: Now he is not here. :( Ayeye sighs. "Fine then, Rein's sister, any idea where to look? It is a rather large world..." Kadan: ... That dragon... the black one, Shade. Where does ... where did it reside? Does anybody know? Ayeye: No... not me... Geint? Geint: I know where her cave is if that's what you mean.. Ayeye: Good, I think... where? Geint: Uhhmm... we passed by it while we were on the airship I think... Ayeye: Oh... right... sorry... Geint: It's a bit to the... *thinks* East. or North... Geint: Northeast! Kadan: Hmm... Shea has always been rather vigorous in her fight against the Empire. She should help us, right? Valina: Yes. ^_^ Valina: She is my friend. Ayeye: I do not know. Ayeye: I suppose it is worth a try... Valina: She'll help. Kadan: Perhaps we could find a way for her to come to us... then we wouldn't have to search for her. Kadan tries to nudge Rein out of his zombie stupor with not much success. Ayeye: Err... how? Kadan: I'm not sure. Kadan shakes his head. "If there was some fortress to penetrate or some target to capture, I could help but I'm not much for this grand-scale strategy stuff." Kadan: What does the air bun... er... Geint think? Geint sighs, finding it hard to beleive Kadan can still even almost call her that in this form. Geint puts a finger to her mouth, makes an mmm sound and thinks. Geint: Well..... what happened the other times she's come to us? Ayeye paces around impatiently. "We have to do something!" T'lain: Well, if you want, you *could* fly the ship to the dragon's cave, if your friend Geint can lead you there. I'll let the Dragonmaster know where you've gone should he show up. Valina sits and waits.. Valina: Okay... ^_^ I'm game with that. Kadan: That's probably the best thing. We shouldn't underestimate Earendil's ability to get back here. Ayeye: Right, good idea, at least it is doing something, let's go! Ayeye runs off. Geint nods. ^_^ Lira gets out of Ayeye's way and lets her climb back up the ladder to the roof. Valina hopples to the airship and takes her seat Kadan climbs aboard. Ayeye quickly dashes back out, grabs the bush, and gets back on, "Almost forgot." Valina: How could you? Ayeye: He was eating... The bush pants idyllicly, completely oblivious. Valina carefully takes off. Kadan looks over the edge. GMRune: The ship slowly lifts into the sky. It bobs lightly in the wind currents, then gains forward speed at Valina's behest. Geint points Valina in the right dirction. Valina: Okay, Geint! Where to? Valina steers! GMRune: The airship leans to the left and takes a east- northeast heading. You cross the badlands of Flysse once more and see a river approaching beneath you. A town of people straddling the river look up at your ship and gawk again. Kadan: There are a lot of places I have never visited... Valina looks at that town.. Valina: I think I would hate that place! Ayeye waves at the people. GMRune: You head for the mountains and somewhere to the northeast, then north, would be Killith. However you keep quite a distance from that forbidden city. Kadan looks on the city with dismay, hoping Dayus's mission succeeds. Geint: Okay.... uhhmm... Geint: We're getting close. Valina: Okay! Valina slows down. Geint: We're gonna have to land on a ledge that's right outside of her cave.... It's made for people flying.. GMRune: The airship heads above the mountain range and soars in the chill mountain currents high in the sky. Geint looks out right where Valina is. Valina nods. Geint: Uhh.... Okay..... A little uhhmm... more east... Valina: Okay. Valina carefully drives the ship. GMRune: Pretty much all the mountains look the same from this perspective, but one of them seems to stand out more than the rest. It still has a fine cap of snow on it. Geint: A bit more that way! *Gestures* I mean... uhh... north. And that's a bit too east. Valina: Okay. Valina carefully drives the ship according to Geint's directions. Geint: Okay... go a bit lower so you can see it... Valina: ^_^ Geint: We're getting so close! GMRune: The airship sinks slightly, the different faces of the mountains become more distinct. You still don't see a cave entrance however. Kadan looks around with interest. Kadan: It's amazing what things look like from this angle. Ayeye continues looking outward. "Where is it?" Valina lowers the ship slightly. GMRune: The ship descends still further. You can begin to make out the texture of the mountain face now. GMRune: There appears to be a broad ledge down near a chasm, but the depth of the darkness is an uncomfortable distance. Valina: Well... I think that would be it. Geint nods. Valina drives toward the entrance and softly lowers the airship. GMRune: The air flow near the chasm is a distrubing set of updrafts that threaten to propel your ship away from the ledge. Geint: I don't know how we're gonna land... Geint: I'm used to flying here personally. ^^; Valina: Hummm... Valina: I have an idea ^_^ Ayeye: What is it? Kadan looks over the edge apphrensively. Valina: Lets drop some ropes and a ladder... A few people can teleport down there... rope off the ship... Valina: And the rest of us can climb down the ladder. ^_^ Geint suddenly wishes she could fly... Ayeye: I am not teleporting down there. Geint: I'd be willing to try a teleport... uhhmm... I think. Ayeye: Good! We have a volunteer... err... Arzel? Do you think you can do it? ~Arzel nods. ~Arzel: Throw the ropes down first though. Valina: Okay. :D Valina: Kadan, will you do that? I'm kinda driving now. ^_^ Kadan: I can. Kadan grabs the heavy ropes and heaves them over the edge, with one end tied to the ship of course. Kadan: Hmm... I'm wondering how safe this is... ~Arzel teleports outside of the ship and on to the ledge below. The Phoenix Robe flaps wildly about him, but somehow he manages to get a hold of the flailing rope. Geint: Not very... but it's safer than forcing the ship down. Ayeye: It is not safe at all, let's do it! Geint blinks. ~Arzel struggles over to a large boulder and wraps the rope around it. He ties it fast and then waves his arms up at the ship. Geint calls, "Right behind you, Arzel!" uselessly seeing as he's too far away. Valina: Okay.. Valina sets the ship in "hover". Geint goes down the rope. Kadan tries to gracefully slide down the rope. Ayeye slides down the rope. "Wheeee! Fun!" GMRune: The force of the winds make any attempt at grace difficult at best, but Kadan arrives safely down at the floor of the ledge. Kadan drops down to the ledge. Valina slides down gracefully... and hopes that her skirt doesn't fly up! GMRune: After Valina, Rein and Tarrant follow down the rope. GMRune: Now that you are actually on the ledge itself you can see that a cave entrance yawns into the wall of the chasm. The entrance is cleverly hidden and can only be seen at this close range. The opening however is wide enough for a full sized dragon to fly through with wings extended. Valina: Cute... GMRune: -------end session-------
