The resistance in Vane is probably the most hidden branach of our organization. The Empire won't find it. Earendil: Vane doesn't concern the Empire too much, the tome should be safe for at least a short while. GMRune: Par: If we're lucky. The rebels in Vane might have new information for us. Kadan rubs his chin, humming in thought. Valina: I think we should go to Vane. Kadan: I would be more open to that idea if I could be assured of the formidability of this faction's security. That book should not be held on our weak link. GMRune: Par uses his staff to help pull himself to his feet. Tarrant is getting bored of just sitting here as he drifts into a daydream. GMRune: Par: Believe me. No one will get the book without the resistance leaders' permission! Earendil: Vane sounds like the best course to take right now. Rein uses a starlight, blinks, and finds that he has not gone blind. GMRune: The sky around you begins to lighten as you head away from the Nanza barrier. Rein heals himself, not wishing to slow down the party GMRune: Rein regains 20 MP. Kadan: We should be sure not to approach any significant enemy structures in this daylight. GMRune: Rein heals 17 hp. Valina: Well, Vane is not that far from Nanza.. I don't think we will have any problems. Tarrant: Well Vane isn't too much further. GMRune: You pass by the section of land where Kadan spoke about tumble-weed viewing and air bunnies chasing flying carrots on your way... Kadan keeps his eyes peeled for treacherous flying carrots. Geint: Yeshh...you think *I* look like *THOSE*. Arzel: ohhh look at all the flying carrots! Valina: I'm missing somthing... but something tells me not much. GMRune: Par looks around the terrain nervously as you walk. Ayeye: I thought Kadan said the flying carrots where in the south... Valina: What's wrong Par? GMRune: <> GMRune: Par: Nothing. GMRune: Then you all see a robed figure come up to you. GMRune: The bush rustles in Geint's direction. Arzel leans up against a tree. Geint: Uhh... soo.... is its name Emmy? GMRune: Figure: Par and his friends, right? Valina looks... Ayeye looks to Par. GMRune: Par nods. "Yes." He pauses a moment and then adds, "Liana?" GMRune: The figure beams, and pulls back her hood. Geint: Huh? Who's there? *looks behind her to the tree.* GMRune: You all see a young flame-haired girl standing before you. GMRune: Liana: Yes, I'm Liana. Long time no see, Par! I almost didn't recognize you. C'mon everyone, follow me. Earendil suddently notices the figure talking to Par. Tarrant turns around to veiw the woman. Kadan looks at Liana suspiciously. GMRune: Liana gestures to the group to go after her. Geint: Just boom-boom, come follow you?? Why?? What are ya doing? GMRune: Liana turns to Kadan. "What is it? Haven't you got something better to do!" Arzel looks up from the woman then looks back the the blade of glass he was playing with. Kadan thinks for a moment, then follows. GMRune: Liana grins. "Don't worry! I know what I'm doing! Besides, you guys are with Par! You can't be bad!" Earendil goes after Par and Liana. Arzel stands and follows the woman. GMRune: Par gulps. Geint sighs. Valina is sick of large houses after the LAST large house! GMRune: Liana hunts around the walls, not paying any attention to the doors and windows. Earendil: What's wrong Geint, jealous? Earendil: Why do cells of the resistence always gravitate to underground things, a five-star hotel would be nicer. Geint: I love caves and stuff. Like home. Valina: nice place. GMRune: You enter a well-sized library. Tarrant: How long has this place been around? GMRune: The ceiling is no more than 9 feet above your heads, but it appears to be quite wide. Earendil: So many books, I could spend weeks in here. Rein looks around for symbols of Althena. GMRune: Liana: Two years. Actually more like two and a half. Valina begins looking around at the books. Geint: Oh, cool! Any stories about dragons, Lia? GMRune: Liana: We're still working on building it. Our leaders are trying to accumulate as much information about ancient history as we can. Tarrant looks around for a cookbook. Geint flies around, inspecting the books. GMRune: Geint finds a small volume on dragons. Geint happily flips through it. GMRune: There are lots of pictures with captions under them. :) Geint: Lesse.....what does it say about Quark....... Earendil: Why such an interest in dragons, Geint? GMRune: After a few more minutes of walking, you arrive at a long hall with many doors on either side. GMRune: Liana: Pick a room. You'll find sheets and a pillow inside. Arzel thinks of fire magic :) Geint: Wake up you ship engine! GMRune: The chill seems to be coming from outside your rooms. Earendil wakes up to see Geint right in his face and yells very loudly. Geint jumps. Geint: eep!! sorry!!! Rein shakes Kadan: "Something's not right here." Geint: It's ccccooooollldddd!!! Ayeye stands up and wraps a blanket around herself, then opens the door. Kadan sniffs and rolls over. Earendil groggilly, "It is kinda cold isn't it." Valina: ... I don't like this at.tt.t.. all. Rein moves to the door. GMRune: The cold wafts from down the hallway. And you hear faint voices speaking. But you can't understand what they're saying. Valina: ... Now I really don't like this. Tarrant sits up but is to tired to open the door. Arzel pokes Kadan in the nose with his claws. Earendil gets out of his bed and goes to the door. "I think there was a fireplace in the library." Ayeye drops the blanket and stealthly heads down the hall toward the sounds. Kadan snorts and rolls over again, snoring loudly. Geint: I'm shaking from more than just cold now...this is just great.... Rein is behind her, his big shirt hanging loosely with out its belt thingy. Valina: hmm... Geint flies over to Earendil. Arzel: Come on help me pull this big Lumox out of bed, we might need his Lumox strength. Geint: I'll wake him up!! Earendil opens the door and walks into the hallway tripping over Ayeye. GMRune: Ayeye and Rein are slowly heading down the hallway. Geint flies over to Kadan, and sits on his face. GMRune: Until they hit Earendil... Arzel goes with Rein and Ayeye. Earendil: "What the . . !" smash! Ayeye: Ouch! Tarrant hears a sound of someone tripping and gets up to investigate. Kadan jerks awake, stuff Geint into his mouth and starts screaming some muffled rants about eating air bunnies for survival. Earendil: Oh, sorry Ayeye. Ayeye freezes in place and listens for sounds. Geint screams (high pitched) to kadan WAKE UP!!!!!!! Valina: ... hmmm. Valina opens her door into the hallway. Valina: I have a bad feeling about this... Ayeye whispers: "Next time, please open the door more slowly. My head hurts." Earendil quickly goes back to his room to get his sword and returns. Valina gets her equipment. GMRune: The cold deepens and you continue to here the voices. There are two of them. Kadan shakes his head and gets up. GMRune: The group of you assemble in the hallway. GMRune: The cold is such that it has wiped the sleep from your eyes. GMRune: And the murmuring voices lay somewhere ahead of you. Geint: brrr... if only I had somthing to ignite.... Ayeye continues onward, quietly. Kadan perks his ears up and tries to remain still. GMRune: As you creep along the hallway, the voices become clearer. GMRune: Liana: Par, they're going to find us!
