GMRune: The party crosses the vacant grounds dividing the city of Shelladon from the rest of the wilderness and stride up to the city gates. Several guards stand around the sole public entrance to the city, ready and waiting to check all visitors. Valina skips up to Kadan. Earendil looks at Valina worriedly. Valina pulls on Kaden's arm... Ayeye glances suspiciously at Valina. Kadan: Do we still have those documents? Valina: Will you give me a piggy back ride? Seeing that you are so big... I wanna see the big city from way up high!! Par: I think Ayeye has them. Ayeye frowns and starts digging through her backpack. "Maybe..." The bush wriggles out of her way. Ayeye picks up the bush and grabs the gate passes. "Found them!" Valina walks back to Earendil... The bush yips and sheds a few leaves. Earendil: Valina, don't bother the big man right now, he's not feeling good. Let me carry you. Valina: The big man is mean. :( Valina: Okay. Earendil heaves Valina up on his back. Kadan seems shifty, trying to avoid Earendil and Valina for some reason. Valina: Thank you Eary! GMRune: The guards notice the party and look at you curiously. Earendil: . o O(Eary!?) Valina plucks a small kiss on Earendil's head. Ayeye runs up to the city guard, and shows them the gate passes. "May we enter?" Par: Don't you just think it's the least bit strange carrying a grown, albeit petite, woman on your shoulders? Earendil's face turns slightly red. Earendil whispers to Par, "We have to humor her." GMRune: The guard takes the passes from Ayeye and glosses over them. Par: You mean _you_ have to humor her. :) Guard: Well, these seem to be in order. Very well, the lot of you may pass. Valina takes a flower outta her hair and offers it to the guard. Ayeye bows. "Thank you sir." Valina: Thank you nice gaurd man! The guard nods slightly and accepts Valina's flower. Valina smiles and waves. GMRune: The party reenters Shelladon. The city is much like it was the last time you were here a few days ago. The streets are rather bare, with few people wandering down them. A majority of the people you see bear the emblems of House Protectoriate. Kadan speaks with a detached, sullen voice. "Well... I guess we deliver the news?" Par: If we want to get to Caldor we do... Valina: Yea! Let's go home! I don't remember the last time I was there. Earendil with Valina on his back, leads the group back to the port. Ayeye attempts to lead the party back to that warlock guy with the name she can not remember... Arzel walks along silently. GMRune: The party heads north towards the port. Along the way, you are eyed on several occasions by warlock patrols. But none of them take the time to stop you. They seem secure and confident within the walls of their own power. Tarrant walks with his head down, hardly noticing the passing patrols. Earendil: . o O(Damned warlocks. The sooner I get them out of this city, the better.) Ayeye pets the bush as she walks. Valina: Eary... Valina: Oh, Eary. Earendil: Yes, Valina? Valina: I don't like these people... they are scary. The bush wriggles contentedly. GMRune: Finally the salty scent of the sea reaches you and the wharf looms into view. You see the building housing the portmaster's office less than a block away from your current position. Earendil sighs, "Yes, Val, they're mean, evil people." Valina: Will I be home soon? I am safe there. My daddy and my brother will protect me! Earendil frowns. Par: Something wrong, Earendil? Geint flies over to Valina. Geint: =\ Valina: Hi, flying bunny kitty! Earendil: No, it's nothing. Valina *huggles* Geint. Geint gets huggled. Geint: Gak. Hi valina. =) Par: I hope Valina feels all right. She hasn't been herself since we rezzed her. Valina pulls out a pink ribbon from her pocket. Valina ties the pink ribbon on Geint! Valina: Awww, you are so cute. :D Geint: ^_^ Geint starts to like it. =b Ayeye continues on toward the Portmaster's building. Geint: You're cute, too. ^_^ Valina: Thank you... GMRune: The party reaches the outside of the portmaster's office. The door is weatherworn and dull, yet it yields a feeling of comfort from its age. Tarrant can not but help at smirk at Geint with a ribbon on her. Ayeye opens the door. Earendil decides to wait outside with Valina. GMRune: The party sees the familiar portmaster again sprawled all over his giant stack of papers. It doesn't seem like anything has changed since the last time you were here. Ayeye walks by him and goes to the warlock's room. Portmaster: Wha... wha... you people again? Arzel follows Ayeye. Earendil puts Valina down and looks out over the sea. Tarrant walks inside. Valina sits down. Geint flaps in. Valina: Eary... my head... hurts Ayeye knocks on the warlock's door. Kadan follows Ayeye. Earendil starts stroking Valina's head caringly. "Don't worry, it'll feel better soon." GMRune: The party, minus Earendil and Valina, pass through a short hallway that ends in two doorways, one to the left and one to the right. Both of them are shut. The left room is completely quiet. Earendil: . o O(I hope.) Valina begins to cry... Ayeye remembers Kadan's teachings and tries the left door... GMRune: That door is locked. Earendil pulls out a handkerchief and starts to wipe away Valina's tears. Kadan nods in approval upon seeing Ayeye's enlightened choice. Ayeye shrugs and tries the right door. Valina: Where... where am I? Geint hmms. =\ Valina: Where is my dad? Earendil: You're in Shelladon. Geint goes over to Arzel and sits on his shoulder. Earendil: . o O(Damnit, I can't tell her the truth in this state.) Valina: What am I doing here?!! I... I'm from Caldor. I want my dad!! Where is he? GMRune: The door swings open to reveal a middle-aged warlock with greying hair. He looks sternly at you upon your entrance. "Don't you civilians know how to knock?" Valina: I am only nine years old... I want my dad! Earendil: Valina. . . your dad went away for a while. Arzel nods slightly to Geint. Valina: Who are you? Ayeye: Sorry... The warlock scowls. "Who are you people to be wandering back here anyway? Where's the portmaster? I want to know his reason for this!" Ayeye: You are not the warlock who was here before... Earendil: I'm. . . a friend of your brother's. He wanted me to look after you. Ayeye: Where is he? Warlock: This is not the time for Dayus's shift. What do you want from him? Ayeye: He had us run an errand. Where is he? Valina: My brother, why isn't he here looking after me! He said he would always look after me! Geint talks in low tones a bit with Arzel. =b Geint> ...Why do we always follow Ayeye? =b Arzel> I have nowhere better to go... Geint> Mm. =\ True. Arzel> ..... Geint> .......This is bad. =b Arzel> ...yea... Valina: I bet you don't even know my brother... what is his name? Earendil: . o O(Uh oh!) Valina: Well? Earendil: Um, Rumpelstiltskin? The warlock frowns deeply. "House Protectoriate does not need help from undisciplined people such as yourselves. What do you want to tell him? I can relay it if it's of any importance." Valina: WHAT! You are proably a kidnapper! You evil man you!!! Ayeye: When will he be back? Valina gets up and runs down a dark alleyway yelling, "Kidnapper! Kidnapper!" Earendil: Wait, um, some guy named McDoogan sent me. Warlock: He should be back tomorrow. Now, would you please leave? This talking is a waste of efficiency. Ayeye: I guess so... I do not suppose you could tell me where he lives? Valina is lost in the city. Earendil tries to race after Valina. Valina: Dad! Valina: I want my dad! The warlock glares at Ayeye with eyes like needles. "He lives in the noble's district. What do you expect? His home's on Estel Way." Ayeye bows. "Thank you sir." Earendil yells out, "Valina!! Valina!!" Ayeye turns and leaves the building. Par closes the door behind her so the warlock doesn't get mad. Valina runs and cries. GMRune: Once Ayeye and her companions leave the building they notice that Valina and Earendil are no longer outside. Geint: ...Uh oh. O_o GMRune: Valina collides into a man wearing priestly garments. Ayeye: Where did those two go?! Arzel lifts his head up and looks around a bit Valina: Ah... sorry... Valina: Help me sir! Help me! Valina: There is an aweful kidnapper following me. Priest: It's all right. What's wrong? Where are you running from? Priest: A kidnapper! Ayeye sighs and says under her breath, "Can't trust that Dragonmaster to do anything right..." Par: So what now? Look for him? Geint: Where do you think they went? O_o Valina: He said my brother told him to watch me!! He didn't even know my brother's name, and my brother would never do that! Agnemark said he would always protect me himself! Valina: I don't know why I am here... Priest: All right, young lady. You can come to the temple with me. He won't try to take you from there. Valina: I'm from Caldor! Valina: Thank you! Thank you! Valina clings to the priest crying. Earendil watches Valina and the priest from the shadows of a nearby alley. Ayeye: Geint? Do you think you can find them? The priest smiles good-naturedly and takes Valina by the hand. "Now follow me. The temple isn't far." Valina: Thank you... Geint: ...how would I find them? Par: . o O (I hope Earendil didn't get carried away or anything while we were gone!) Geint: I'm not a hunting dog. =\ Ayeye: I don't know... You can fly and see more... Geint: Well..... I could try..... but there are so many buildings! Earendil leans back against the wall and tries to think of what to do. Ayeye: It would be helpful. I want to go pay that warlock a visit. The priest leads Valina into Althena's temple. Valina admires the temple. Valina: This place is beautiful... Geint: Ok. =) Off I go... Par: Thanks, Geint. :) Geint goes off Arzel's shoulder and scouts the area. Valina: There is nothing like this where I am from. Earendil thinks to himself. "Well duh, I live in Shelladon, the priest should recognize me, but I should get the others first." Earendil emerges from the alley and makes his way back to the port. Ayeye: How about the rest of you? What do you want to do? Geint goes a bit higher. Kadan: Where's Dayus? Valina gets well fed at the temple. :D Ayeye: Estel Street. Geint flutters closer to a vague Earendil thing. GMRune: Earendil sees something pink descending towards him from the sky. Par: Should we wait for Geint before finding Dayus? Earendil looks up and tries to discern a small pink shape flying in the sky. Kadan looks off to nowhere in particular. "Doesn't really matter, I guess." Tarrant: Geint can catch up with us. Earendil yells out, "Geint!! Down here." Geint flies down to Earendil. Ayeye looks toward what she guesses is the Noble District. "We probably should..." Par nods. "Yeah, let's get this over with." Earendil looks at Geint. "It's about Valina." Geint: ...? Geint: Where is she? Earendil: She doesn't remember any of us! She even thinks she's nine years old. Geint: Oh great. =\ Earendil: She ran off thinking I was a kidnapper. Geint: This is bad... Earendil: I saw a priest take her to the temple, so that's where we have to go. GMRune: Ayeye and company begin trudging towards the Nobles' District in the eastern part of the city. The manors there rise on a gradual incline that affords them a view of the city. Geint: Well...... she was acting younger than 9 before..... maybe it's coming back gradually or something.... *tries to think positive* Earendil: I think . . . that I'm going to have to tell her the truth. Geint: Well then... Geint: Off to the temple, dragonboy. ;) Earendil walks toward the temple. Geint lands on Earendil's shoulder. Earendil: The priest should recognize me. If he doesn't, he couldn't possibly believe that the Red Dragon hangs around with a kidnapper. Geint: Hopefully. =\ Ayeye wonders how they will identify the correct house. GMRune: After a while, Earendil and Geint find the temple and enter it. Valina: Wow... Valina: What a beautiful place. Priest: I'm glad you like it here. It's not often people get to admire it anymore. Of course with the current state of affairs, the temple is far more rundown than usual. Valina: Why is it rundown? A place like this should always be beautiful. Valina: And it is. Valina: Can I go home sometime? Once I am sure that kidnapper won't come after me. Priest: Well, do you know why he was after you? Then maybe I'd feel better about letting you go. Perhaps one of us could escort you home... Valina: I, I don't know... I woke up and he was sitting by me. I asked him where I was, and where my father was, and my brother was. He told my my brother said for him to protect me. But Agnemark would never ever leave me! He has always protected me. I asked the man for my brother's name, just to see if he was lying. He didn't know my brother's name. Valina: And I'm from Caldor... and I am only 9 years old! There is no way for me to get HERE by myself Valina: He had to have been a kidnapper! Priest: Nine? My dear, you must be older than that! Granted you're young, you can't be that young. Just look at yourself in a mirror. The priest gestures at one of the decorative mirrors. Valina: What? Valina looks. Valina: ... Valina: What? Valina: I... I ... Valina: I'm old? Valina drops down and cries! Valina: What's wrong with me? Valina: I... I can't be old yet! The priest pats her on the shoulder. "There, there, I don't know what's wrong, but Althena knows. She will watch over you." Valina: I am only nine. GMRune: Valina's crying attracts the attention of another priest, this one in his early twenties. He seems to recognize Valina. Valina: Where is my father... my mother... Agnemark! Valina: Where are they? Valina: I... I gotta go back home... that's it, that is where they are! They have to be there, home, waiting for me... in Brittel! Ellis: Valina? What are you doing here? Valina: A nasty man tried to kidnap me... GMRune: Earendil and Geint enter the temple of Althena. Earendil opens the door and enters the temple. "Hello?" Geint looks around. Valina stands... Valina: There he is! The kidnapper!! Ellis: A nasty man? Geint: ^^; Ellis and the priest look at Geint and Earendil. Valina: He took me away from my home! My family! Valina points at Earendil. Ellis blinks. "Uh... Valina, isn't he one of your friends?" Earendil: No, Valina, you have it all wrong. Valina: I'm... only nine! Geint: Let us epxlain... Valina: What? No! I have never seen him before Earendil walks toward Ellis and Valina. Valina: Honstly... Valina steps back. Valina: Why am I not at home working? Earendil: Valina, I didn't want to have to tell you this. I had hoped that you would remember. Valina: Why am I not in Brittel? Valina: Remember? Remember what? Geint gulps and lets Earendil explain. Earendil: I know these memories are painful for you, but you have to remember. You can't go on shutting them out. Ellis looks confused. "Did something happen to her?" Valina: What memories? What are you talking about? And where is my brother? Earendil: Ellis, Valina . . . was killed. We had the Blue Dragon bring her back to us. Valina: Huh? Valina: What? Valina: I wasn't killed! I am still alive! Look at me! Earendil: Please Val, try to think back. Back to the Pegasus shrine. Valina cries... "What shrine! I haven't been to a shrine!" Ellis grimaces. "I can see why she would want to block out her memories. They must have been painful." Valina puts her hands over her face. Valina: What's happening to me? Valina: Why can't I be a normal kid? Valina drops to the ground and cries. Earendil tries to get closer. "I wish I could help. I would give everything to see you back to normal and happy." Ellis sighs. "I'm guessing you don't know how to treat this." Earendil looks helpless. "I'm not a therapist, I'm just a knight." Earendil whispers to Ellis, "I don't know what to do. If I tell her the truth, she'll die, and if I don't, she'll remain like this." Ellis: I think she isn't mad. But it may take a while for her to come back to herself. This might be her way of recovering from death. Ellis whispers back, "I think she will go with you if you are gentle. I would say let her come to the truth on her own terms though. Don't rush it. You can see how she is." Valina: I... want to go home! Earendil selects a flower from one of the vases in the temple and hands it to Valina. "Please, let me take you home. I promise I won't hurt you or let anyone harm you." Valina: NO! Valina: You mean man! Geint: =\ Valina: Tell me... where is my brother? Ellis speaks gently to Valina. "Listen, he's a nice man. He won't hurt you. He didn't mean to hurt you earlier." Earendil: I'll let you hold the air bunny if you come with me. Valina: He would never let me alone with you! Geint: Pleeeeeeeeeeeese! =) Geint: We don't know where your brother is. =\ Geint: We just don't want you to be sad, even if he's not here. Valina: If he is so nice, why am I here, and not in Brittel? Valina: Why am I not with my family? Ellis: Someone else took you away, but this man is here to bring you back. He'll take you back to Brittel. Geint: Because you don't remember. ;_; Earendil smiles at Valina. Geint tries to look her most hideously kawaii. ;) ...That's a lot. Valina: Tell me... my brother's name... Earendil: Agnemark, you're brother's name is Agnemark. Earendil: I'm sorry I couldn't remember before. I never met him in person. I only know of his name through other knights. Valina: He isn't a knight... he is only eleven, like me. Earendil: I hear he is a very brave man. Even braver than me. Geint: *anime sweat drop* Earendil: Um, that he is shaping up to be a very brave man. Valina: He is going to be Dragonmaster one day, and don't YOU forget it! Once he is a Dragonmaster, he'll get rid of kidnappers just like you! Geint: ;_; Geint: Earendil's not a kidnapper!!!!! Ellis: Valina, this man isn't a kidnapper. He's a friend, and he's here to take you home. Valina: Agnemark will still be the best Dragonmaster ever... :D Geint: Okay. Fine. ^_^ Geint: Will you come with us? =) Geint: We can have fun. ^_^ Earendil looks down at the ground. "I don't think I could ever become the Dragonmaster." Valina: What kind of fun? Geint eeks and looks at Earendil. Geint then looks back at Valina, trying to ignore that... Geint: I dunno. =b What kinda fun you like? I haven't played with anyone in a real long time. =) Geint: o O (*Light bulb*) Geint: We could sing! ^_^ Valina: I like to play hide and go seek... Valina: You promise to take me home. Geint: It's kinda hard to play hide and go seek if we take you home. =\ Earendil: I'll swear on all the dragons themselves that I will take you home. Valina: And if you DON'T... Geint smiles. She's being sworn by. =b Ellis: He'll take care of you. I don't think you need to worry, Valina. Althena goes with him. Earendil: And if I don't, you can dress me up in a frilly dress. Geint: I'd like to see that. ;b Earendil glares a Geint for a quick moment. Valina stands up slowly. Valina: Just take me to Brittel... Ellis smiles. "He will, Valina." Ellis pats Valina on the shoulder. Geint flaps over to Valina and lands on her shoulder. Valina looks at Geint in amazement. Valina: What are you? Earendil bows before Valina. "I am honored to escort such a beautiful young lady." Geint: I'm a dragon. =) Even though I look like a...*hesitates* ...air bunny. I get big. =) Valina: Really, cool. :D Geint: =D Earendil falls over rather clumsily, rather startled that Geint told Valina that she is a dragon. Valina: Ummm nice ribbon, I didn't know dragons wore ribbons. Ellis turns to Earendil. "Where are the rest of your friends, anyway?" Earendil gets up and straightens his armor. "Um, last time I knew, they were at the port." Ellis nods. "Since she's willing to go with you for now, I think you'd best rejoin them. You know how fickle children can get sometimes." Geint: =\ Valina: Let's go then... I want to go home! Geint talks to little Valina. =b Earendil nods. "All right, let's go." Valina walks behind Earendil. Ellis waves in farewell. "Take care, all three of you. Althena sends her blessings." Valina: ... Rune: The three leave the temple. The sky outside is darkening with the coming of sunset. Earendil: Geint, is everybody still at the port, or did they go somewhere else? Geint: Uhhmm.... When I left them they were. Geint: They sent me off to look for you. Geint: I don't know if they waited for me.... Geint: Probably not. =\ Earendil: Well then, I guess we head back that way. Earendil: Okay, do you know if they had anywhere else that they had to go? Geint: Uuhh........ they went to see that warlock guy... Geint: Uhhmm on.... Valina follows without saying much. Geint: Ester street? Estal..? Something est... Valina stops. Valina puts her hand on her belly. Earendil: Oh Estel Way, I know where that is. Earendil looks at Valina. "Are you okay, Valina?" Valina stands still, with her hand on her stomach. Valina: I... I feel... kinda sick Geint: =( Valina: Okay, but kinda sick. Geint: =\ Earendil: Do you need to sit down? Valina: Yea... Valina sits. Geint flutters to Earendil's shoulder. Earendil whispers to Geint, "I'm beginning to think that Althena has it out for me." Valina: What's... happening to me? Geint: =( Valina cries. Earendil crouches down beside Val, but doesn't know what to do. Geint flutters over to Valina and nuzzles her cheek. Valina: Stay away! Valina: I'll be ok... Valina: I... I'm sorry! Geint: =( Geint: Okay. I wanna make sure. Valina lays on the street. Earendil: Um . . . Geint flies back to Earendil's shoulder.. Valina: I feel sick... and I am sad, and so angry... Valina: I don't know what is wrong with me... Earendil: Should we take you back to the temple? Valina: No... I'll be okay... I think. Valina: I have such a headache. :( Geint: =( Geint: Okay. If you're fine... Earendil's face is filled with worry. Earendil: Well, if you think you can go on, we'll continue. Just tell us if it gets worse. Valina: I... think I'll be okay. Geint: Okay. Well keep going! Geint: To Estel Way! Valina: Umm... okay. Earendil continues to lead the two through the streets of the city. Valina: Where exactly are we going? Geint: To find Earendil's friends so we can ...get you home soon. =) Earendil: Over to the richer area of the city. Geint: ...How old are you again, Valina? Valina: Umm... thirteen. Valina: You know... Geint: ..? Earendil's mouth drops open, but he quickly closes it. GMRune: Earendil and Valina finally reach Estel Way. The street ends in a very large manor, probably the largest around. There are sounds of a fight coming from within its walls. Earendil rolls his eyes and looks at Geint. "How much do you want to bet that's our friends in there?" Valina: That sounds scary... Geint sighs with an anime sweat drop. Geint: Don't worry. =) We're good bodyguards. ^_^ Earendil frowns as an image of Garreth stabbing Valina comes back to him. Valina: Well ummm... What are we going to do? I need to go home. Earendil: Well, I suppose we should go help them. Valina: Umm.. I'll umm leave that up to you... yea... Valina blushes. Geint: Yea, I think that's a good idea. =b Earendil: Geint, maybe you should stay with Val. Valina summons Geint to her! Geint: Okay! =) Geint goes to Valina. Valina: Umm... Valina: (whisper) That man... he is kinda cute. :D *giggle* Earendil heads for the manor and the noises of battle. Geint giggles. Valina sits again. Valina: Oh no... not again... Geint: Uh oh? What? =( Valina: Sick... feeling wierd... Geint: Oh no. =( Valina feels like she is going to puke... Valina collapses to the ground! Geint: O_O Geint: Ah! Valina cries. Valina: Owie, owie, owie. ~sniff~ It hurts! Geint: V... v... Valina! =( Valina: I... I don't want this pain... Not anymore. Geint: Oh dear... is it unbearably bad or just bad? =\ Valina: ~sniff~ Unbearably... Geint looks to see how far Earendil is. Valina: I... I... hurt... all over. GMRune: All of the manors look more or less the same, except some are substantially bigger than others. Virtually all of them display the insignias of House Protectoriate. Ayeye looks for something useful, like names on mailboxes, or the Shelladon equivelent. Par: Maybe we just should try asking someone. Knock on doors or whatever... Kadan: Man... none of the places in Lentol look as nice as this. Ayeye sighs. "I suppose so... but there are so many of them..." Par: :\ Hopefully Dayus is well known then. Ayeye heads to the first door on the left, and knocks on the door. GMRune: The door opens, and servant answers. "Yes? What is it?" Ayeye bows. "Hello, I am looking for Dayus." Tarrant: Yes, um, we are having a great deal on... Uh.. wrong message huh? Kadan tries to remain inconspicuous. The servant pauses. "Yes, I think I know of him. He works at the port; the son of Lord Kahill, right?" Ayeye: Err... yeah? Tarrant: I believe that's the man we are looking for. The servant points to the largest manor on the hill. "He lives there. Didn't you know?" Servant: You'd have to be blind to miss that place. Ayeye looks over her shoulder to the manor, and gives the servant a goofy smile. "Oh, yeah, sorry." Ayeye: Thank you for your help. The servant nods and shuts the door. Ayeye turns and heads for the large manor on the hill. Kadan follows Ayeye. Tarrant follows Kadan. GMRune: Before long the group of six reach the high walls surrounding the large manor. There is a lone guard standing watch at the gatehouse. He does not see to be a warlock; rather a regular citizen. Ayeye waves to the guard. "Hello!" The guard blinks. "Eh? What?" He seems surprised that someone would walk up here. "Who are you, people?" Ayeye: We are here to see Dayus. Ayeye: He asked us to run an errand for him. Kadan takes a step forward to reinforce Ayeye. Guard: Lord Dayus! But... but... You know... well... you know...! The guard pales noticeably. Tarrant: Obviously we do not know. Ayeye looks confused. "No, I do not know." Guard: Lord Kahill doesn't like commoners inside, even during the daytime. And it's close to sunset now! He'll be very mad, even if that's what Lord Dayus wants. Ayeye: But... we have to see him! Tarrant walks up to the guard trying to look macho. "Listen pal you don't seem to understand. We can do this the easy way or the hard way." The guard shakes his head. "I don't think Lord Kahill would care if you hurt me, but he will care if I let you through. I can't let you." Ayeye: It is important! We must get in! Is there no way you will let us in? Arzel: Could you perhaps go tell Lord Dayus that we are here or something... we need to see him. Guard: I can't. I can't go inside either. If you could perhaps send an enchanted message to him... Arzel: Enchanted message?... Ayeye looks at Arzel and smiles. Guard: Yeah, use your magic and send him a message that way. Ayeye: Arzel? You know that new trick you have? Arzel: Yea... Ayeye: I think we could count as an enchanted message... Arzel: I need to know my destination... Par: Well... you can see the other side of the gates. Except we'd still be in plain sight... Ayeye points at the house. "The destination is over there." Arzel glances around, unsure what to do. Ayeye: Come on Arzel, you can do it! Arzel: Shouldn't we uhh... *motions down the street away from the guard* Par: Uh... good idea.... Ayeye: Oh... yes... we probably should. Ayeye waves to the guard. "Goodbye, thank you for you help!" Ayeye drags Arzel out of the guard's sight. Kadan: This is all seeming a little fishy to me. Par: Maybe it's just the ocean, Kadan. GMRune: The party heads down the street a little ways out of sight from the guard. Arzel: Isn't it... uhh breaking and entering... Ayeye: No, because we are not going to break anything. Kadan: But breaking things is so fun! Par: Well... we shouldn't break without necessity... Ayeye: Besides, you are a rebel, what do you care about a warlock's rules? Arzel: Fine... where do you want me to put us down? Ayeye: Inside, somewhere... Arzel: I've never seen the inside... I might teleport into a wall Ayeye: Inside the gate at least. Arzel: I'll put us down somewhere near the door Par: Don't forget warlocks tend to magically ward their doors and windows. Arzel nods. Arzel: By the door then? Ayeye: Sounds good. Let's go! Arzel attempts to teleport us all near the door. GMRune: The six party members dissolve and vanish. A split second later they reappear beside the front door. Earendil: Hey, I've had enough problems of my own. GMRune: The party earns 388 XP, 337 MEXP, and 177 S. GMRune: Earendil had to knock out a guard and bust open a gate to get here. Earendil glares at Ayeye. Kadan: Did that vicious blood-thirsty gate inflict over 300 points of damage on you? Huh?! Arzel: Yea... someone heal us :P GMRune: Kadan crushes two jasmine leaves. The fragrences heal him a total of 120 hp. Ayeye quickly scans the place, looking for more bad guys. Earendil: Guys, being killed really did something to Valina. She doesn't know who any of us are. And her mind has been slowly progressing in age. Kadan: When will she be back to normal? Geint waits with Valina a little ways away. Ayeye raises an eyebrow. "What is normal for her?" Geint: Oh Valina! Hold on! He should be back.... Earendil: I don't know. Earendil: Ayeye, don't test me. Valina: Owie... Ayeye shrugs, turns away from Earendil, and toward the door. GMRune: A navy blue aura shimmers slightly beside the party. It flares suddenly, revealing a lavender-haired warlock in his late twenties. Earendil: Come on, I have to get back to her. She wasn't feeling well all the way over here. Dayus: I wouldn't touch that door if I were you... Ayeye spins to face the newcomer. "Do not do that!" Arzel turns slowly to face Dayus. Dayus shrugs. "If you wanted to get my attention you have a hell of a way of doing it." Ayeye: It worked, didn't it? Dayus shakes his head. "Look, you'll have to come with me." He looks to Earendil. "Get your companion. I have to get you out of here." Ayeye: Where are we going? Earendil nods and heads out to find Valina and Geint. Valina is laying in the ground, in very bad pain... Dayus: We'll be going... somewhere. We can't talk here. Earendil walks outside and sees Valina, "Not again!" Dayus's eyes flicker dangerously towards the manor. "I mustn't let any of you 'escape'. That would not go over well with my father." Valina: Owie! Owie! Ayeye: Fine, lead the way. Earendil: Geint, what's been happening to her. Valina: I hurt! Geint: They're here, Valina! Don't strain yourself..... Valina: Help me! Earendil: I gotta get her to Rein, maybe he can help. Ayeye: Yeah... right... Earendil tries to pick Valina up without causing her more pain. Valina: Ah... Valina cries. Earendil: Damn it, I should've become a healer. Valina stops crying as she is in Earendil's arms. Dayus leads the party towards Earendil so he doesn't have to walk the whole distance carrying her. Valina sleeps. Earendil blink blinks. Geint: Tee hee. ^_^ Earendil: Um . . . Geint: Don't ask, Earendil. =b Arzel walks along silently. Dayus: Are you all here now? We can't be missing any of you. Earendil: Yeah, I think you're right Geint. Ayeye: Yes, we are all here... I think... Arzel pushes his hood back, off his head, and looks around. Valina: ... Dayus nods. He brushes his hair back. "All right. Here we go." Dayus gestures and utters the words to his teleportation spell. The party vanishes. GMRune: ------end session-------
