Lunar: Magic Empire Session 55 Log ============================================================ Cast of Characters: Rune as "GM/Narrator, Par, the bush, Man, Pegasus/Tallus, and ~Earendil" Seath as "Earendil" GORN as "Rein" Hahn as "Kadan" Aes as "Valina" Mia Ausa as "Geint" SOLaike as "Tarrant" Dyne as "Arzel" Ayeye as "Ayeye" ============================================================ GMRune: ------game on------- GMRune: Valina lies motionless in a huddled heap where she fell from her wound. The warlocks are gone and the entire shrine is filled with the stillness of the tomb. Earendil just sits there cradling Valina's head. Geint sniff and looks up at Arzel. "Ok... I'll... I'll... be strong... f... for Vallllina. =(" GMRune: Blood trickles from the cruel slash of Garreth's dagger and bathes the white marble floor with crimson. Earendil takes his sword of his belt and violently throws it accross the shrine. Arzel glances around. Kadan takes a step forward and puts a hefty hand awkwardly on Earendil's shoulder. Ayeye looks away from the scene, "I'm sorry..." Par shakes his head, feeling awkward. Arzel: Rein... can you do anything. You've studied revival magic before... Earendil shakes Kadan's hand off. Rein nods, with a dazed look. Rein sounds grim. "I'll see what I can do." Earendil whispers silently, "I just don't care anymore." Rein kneels by Val. Rein casts Revive Litany. Geint: There's got to be a way!!! She can't just.......... There's at least one person in this world who can revive her!! There's got to be!!! *resists crying* GMRune: Valina seems to stir, but it's more of a blurring of her outline. Something has happened though... Earendil's eyes twinkle with hope for a second and then go dark again. Arzel: She's not gone yet, the soul hasn't abandoned the body... Rein: I don't understand... Earendil seems to be in a world of his own. GMRune: The body shimmers again, and the air above her distorts ever so slightly. Rein's face is drawn in grim concentration. Geint prays to Althena. Kadan lowers his head. "We may have to accept the truth here. The sacrifice has been made. We must work doubly hard towards victory now, and be glad the warlocks didn't get the... pendant..." Kadan's voice trails off as if he didn't mean what he was saying. Geint: No... there has to be a way....... I won't belive it. Not yet. Earendil looks up at Kadan angrily. "Do you really think that I care about the bloody pendant anymore?" Earendil gets up. "Hell, I don't care about the warlocks, about the serpant staff, about anything!!" GMRune: The air above Valina ripples, a dim outline fading in then vanishing. Earendil: Valina is gone and it's my fault. There's nothing left for me! GMRune: The room echoes with a barely audible whisper. Ayeye shakes her head solemnly. "It's not your fault... She... she wouldn't have wanted you to give up..." Rein's face is outlined by a trickle of sweat. Earendil: Well, that's exactly what I'm doing. How am I supposed to be a Dragonmaster and protect Lunar, when I can't even protect the life of one person. Earendil starts to choke on his words. "One of the few . . . that I have ever loved . . ." GMRune: A mist coalesces. It's a pale outline of Valina standing over her body. Her face is drawn and weary. She seems sad, but accepting. Geint looks up at Earendil with sad anime eye wiggle. Earendil looks up at the form. "Valina? . . ." Arzel looks at the form. Geint: Vallllllina? =O GMRune: Valina reaches out her hands towards Earendil and Geint. Earendil races over to the form but fall right through as he tries to embrace it. Earendil: What . . . what is this? Tarrant watches Val in disbelief. Geint: Are you a ghost?! You can't be dead yet....... ;_; Kadan stands back in an apprehensive confusion. Valina's mouth slightly moves. GMRune: Below Valina, her body stirs. It murmurs softly, "Set me free..." Earendil goes back down by the body. "What?" Ayeye steps closer to Kadan. "What is going on? Is it... this place..." Geint: How, Valina? Rein's concentration is broken, and he looks around in confusion. Geint: How!! =( Earendil's eyes are filled with hope. "Please, tell me. I'll do anything!" Geint can no longer hold back the tears and be strong... her tears are now more of many emotions rather than sadness. Kadan bites his lip and shakes his head. "I wish I could tell you, Ayeye..." Valina's mouth begins to move again... GMRune: Valina's body echoes the words of her ghost. "I... I don't know." Geint: ....We have to try everything we know! ... Geint: ... Geint: Arzel! ...Try putting the pendent around her neck... Just in case that has something to do with it... Earendil: There must be a way. I will find it, even if I have to go as far as the Blue Star. Geint sniffles. Arzel glances around and pulls the pouch out of his robe. GMRune: The eyes to Valina's corpse open slightly. It lifts its head as though disoriented. Arzel: I... no one can touch the pendant Earendil's eyes widen. Geint: Drop it out on her from the bag then----Valina! Arzel drops the pendant out of the pouch onto Val's body. O_o GMRune: The pendant falls miraculously around the corpse's neck. It sparks and begins to smoke the skin. GMRune: Valina's body speaks again. "Take me... take me through the shrine... The light through the shrine..." Earendil: No! It's hurting her! Tarrant: I know let's take her to a shrine. Arzel: We're in a shrine. Geint: ;b Earendil tries to swipe the pendant off. Geint: ...I knew Valina wouldn't die yet! Earendil!!!! Can't you see it helped revive her? O_o GMRune: Earendil gets the pendant off, taking a nasty electric shock in the process. GMRune: Valina's body turns its head in a jerky motion, looking somewhere without seeing. It stands up slowly and faces Valina's ghost. Geint: Earendil!! She was all right... she spoke... please... please don't let your sadness get in the way of your reasoning. =( We'll revive her! Don't worry! Valina's mouth moves. GMRune: Valina's body echoes: "Go through the shrine... before it is to late... before I leave for good... take me with you." Earendil looks extremely confused. Geint: Oh well.... Arzel: The light? The way we entered? Geint: I don't know. =( Lead us to where you think the shrine is, Arzel! Arzel: We're IN the shrine. Ayeye sticks near Kadan, not sure what to do with the ghost... Arzel: Kadan, where's the map? Earendil looks around fervently for a light. Valina speaks ... GMRune: Valina's body shifts slightly and looks around. "Further... in!" Rein tries to do what he can to dress Valina's wound. Arzel: Kadan! give me the map! Geint drags Valina's corpse that way so as to get some help. ;b Valina speaks. Kadan digs around in his satchel for a bit, then whips out the scroll. GMRune: The body spins slightly, arms outspread, ruining much of Rein's efforts to bandage it. "A light..." Arzel takes the map from Kadan and looks for the way to go farther in. Kadan opens up the map. "This map is pretty vague. It only shows two large chambers surrounded by columns." Earendil starts to look a little more composed. "No, I will take Valina." Earendil picks up the corpse. Geint: Thanks... =b GMRune: There is a doorway further into the chamber, opposite the entrance. A staircase is marked in the second chamber beyond it. Arzel: Let's go! Ayeye looks at the map over Arzel's shoulder. Arzel heads off towards the door. Kadan nods and walks ahead while trying to absorb the map. Earendil: Please, somebody go get my sword. Geint flies over and "grabs" it. GMRune: The corpse is very difficult to keep a hold of because it keeps moving and trying to walk on its own. GMRune: Geint drags Earendil's sword after her. Arzel walks over and get the sword. Arzel heads towards the door. Geint: Thanks, Arzel. =) These darn paws... =b Geint flies and follows the group, now psyched and wiping the tears from her eyes. Valina's spirt follows her body. GMRune: The party passes through the doorway to enter a far smaller squarish room with rounded corners. There are several stone boxes lining the sides of the room. A stairway cut straight into the marble walls leads up to a second floor. GMRune: Valina's body rolls over, and swings its legs. Arzel heads towards the stairs. Earendil attempts to keep his balance. Ayeye scouts up the stairs. GMRune: The steps are steep and placed far from each other as though for a creature with far longer strides than yours. The room above them is dark. Tarrant has trouble walking up the steps. Geint has no trouble. ;b The bush doesn't either. Ayeye steps into the dark room and calls back down the stairs, "Arzel? Could you light this up for us?" Arzel glows. Arzel goes up. GMRune: The room on the second floor lights up with Arzel's glow, revealing high vaulted ceiling with flying buttresses shaped in the forms of bird wings. Carved winged horses line the columns around the room in varying degrees of relief. Geint: Pretty... Valina's spirt follows aimlessly. Arzel tosses back his hood and glances around. GMRune: There is another doorway in this room, leading back over the larger chamber you were in down below. Ayeye quickly examines the room. "What, exactly, are we looking for?" Arzel: A light? Arzel walks over too the door. GMRune: The door from the chamber is thick and wrought out of gold and wood. It is wider than it is tall and doesn't have any hinges that you can see. Geint: What... Geint: What do we do, Valina? Earendil: Not another door. We must hurry! Ayeye follows Arzel into the next room. Arzel trys to open the door in every thinkable direction. Valina's spirt walks through the door... GMRune: Valina's body rolls out of Ear's arms and falls on the floor. It props itself up. Earendil: . o O(I wish she would stop doing that.) Earendil is confused again. Geint follows everyone else. Rein tries not to look at Val. GMRune: Her body gets up and toddles over towards the door. It walks into it. GMRune: The door remains closed. It doesn't seem like it'll move. Tarrant knocks on the door. GMRune: Valina's body speaks... "Help me... please!" Arzel: I could teleport to the other side... Earendil starts pushing on the door. "Kadan, help me!" Kadan walks over to Earendil and plows himself into the door. GMRune: The door does not budge. GMRune: The wood groans slightly, but remains firm. Earendil: Dammit! Arzel: Earendil, I'll try to teleport you, Val, and me to the other side Arzel: Okay? Earendil: Fine, just hurry. GMRune: Valina's body begins wandering away from the door, towards the columns. Ayeye stays far away from the teleporting mage. Arzel attempts to teleport Val, Ear, and himself the the other side of the door. Valina's spirt is already on the other side of the door! GMRune: Arzel and Earendil disappear! Ayeye stares at the door for a moment. "I wonder where they ended up..." Tarrant: Great... Where the heck did they go? Earendil: Where am I? Geint: Ar... Arzel!! Did you make it to the other side?? GMRune: Geint cannot hear anything from the other side. Geint: O_o Geint gets worried. Tarrant knocks on the door. Again. Rein: Can we burn the door or something? Geint: Oh please open, door. =( GMRune: The parties cannot hear each other through the door. Tarrant says "Open sesame!" Kadan: Wow. It sure seems to be closed tightly. Ayeye starts looking for a switch or button along the edge of the door. GMRune: There are no buttons near the door. GMRune: Valina's body pounds on the surface of the columns with tiny fists. Geint flies over to Valina's corpse. Geint: O_o Geint: Valina... GMRune: Valina's corpse continues to hit the column. Geint tries hitting the collumn. Geint hits it with even tinier fists. ;b Ayeye continues searching the room for any kind of switch. GMRune: There are interesting sets of carving among the pegasi shapes. There is a black catman, a blue dragon, and a red phoenix amid all the white equine forms. Geint: Hmm... the tribes..... Geint: This must be..... Kadan: A red phoenix... The Shadowcat spirit I met beneath the shrine in the mountains near Lentol told me of them. They possess an incredible power of birth and self- sacrifice. Perhaps they could help Valina in some way. Geint realizes.... Rein nods hopefully. Rein: Why the blue dragon? Ayeye: This is the wrong shrine though... Isn't it? Kadan: Just a thought, Ayeye. Geint looks at the stairs. Kadan: I'd like to think the tribes are connected in some way... Kadan takes off his mask for a moment and looks at it thoughtfully. Geint: And with all the pegusus shapes around... Geint: This is a shrine of the Pegusus Tribe!! Ayeye: We knew that, but where is the Phoenix? Geint: Geint: ...In there probobly. *looks at the door* Geint: The phoenix...giver of life. O_o Par: But would the phoenix be here? Kadan tickles Geint under the chin. "You're a little red firebrand. Are you sure it's the 'Dragon' Tribe you belong to, pumpkin pants?" Ayeye: Doesn't it have its own shrine? Geint shrugs. "I donno. =b Hehe.. what do you mean, kadan? ^_^" Rein runs his hand along the pegasi's wings. Kadan: Not that I'm biased or anything, but I think the black tribe is the coolest of the four. Geint: Oh suuure you're not biased. Geint: ;b Ayeye: I think I'd have to agree with you, Kadan. Rein gets a sweat-drop-on-back-of-head. Kadan gives Ayeye a rare little boyish grin. Geint looks at Valina. "Why..." GMRune: Valina's body looks blankly back at Geint. Geint: ..Why are you hitting that column, Valina's corpse. =b GMRune: Her corpse hits the dragon carving by random chance. The party hears a click. Geint: =b Geint: Figures. ;b Geint flies to the door. She pushes on it. GMRune: The door refuses to budge. Geint hmms. She pushes on the other tribal pictures. GMRune: The shadowcat clicks, as does the phoenix. Geint: *Push* *Push* *Push* *PushPush* Kadan tries to examine what's going on. GMRune: The door remains firm. GMRune: There was a second and third click when Geint pressed on the dragon carving. Geint: Huh? Whoa... the second push helped.... Geint: How many times do i have to push these things? =\ Par: There's probably a pattern to it... Geint: Oh. =\ Geint: But... what pattern? Geint: ... Geint ponders. Kadan: Perhaps we must push the four carvings in a particular order. GMRune: Valina's body points at the party members one by one with a jerking motion. It seems to be counting. Ayeye: What kind of pattern would be associated with a pegasus... Rein: Did you try pushing any besides the dragon, Geint? Geint: I pushed them all... but not in any sort of pattern... Geint: Hey Kadan... Just in case...... Kadan: Do we need to split up and each tag them at the same time perhaps? Geint: Could you push the shadowcat? Ayeye: It's worth a try. Kadan stretches his knuckles for a moment, then taps the Shadowcat carving. GMRune: The shadowcat clicks. Geint hmms. =\ GMRune: The door shudders. Geint: Hmm. O_o Geint looks at the tribal pictures. Geint looks at the door. Geint pushes on the door. Rein: I bet we'll have to get all of them to do that. Ayeye shrugs and tries pushing the Phoenix. GMRune: Geint disappears through the door with a small suction noise. *Pop!* Geint pops. GMRune: The Phoenix clicks. But the door remains still. Kadan blinks. "What happened to the marshmallow?" Par oogles. "Dunno...." Kadan: Wait... Kadan: Someone tap the Shadowcat. Maybe that will let me through. Ayeye looks all around. "Who? Geint? Where? I'm confused..." Ayeye: Alright... Ayeye taps the Shadowcat. Kadan pushes his palms against the door to examine any difference. GMRune: Kadan's hands seem to slide through the stuff of the door itself. Kadan: Ooo! Neat. Kadan tries to walk through the door. Rein tries the door. GMRune: Kadan slides through the door with a pop! GMRune: Rein can't get through. The door is solid to him. GMRune: You reappear in a large room, like that for holding mass in a church, except that there are no pews. There is however an altar. Two faeries and five men are standing around it. The men don't look like warlocks. GMRune: Valina's spirit is standing near you. Earendil shouts to the men and fairies. "Please, you must help me." GMRune: They don't reply, but seem to be taking an unhealthy interest in you and Arzel. Arzel turns around and looks at them. Earendil: Arzel, who are these people? GMRune: The men are on the hairy side and the faeries are small with dragonfly wings. They seem upset. Arzel glances over the "people. "Would you... please help... a friend of mine has been recently slain and her body and spirit have lead us here..." Earendil: Please! GMRune: One of the men shrugs, turning to his compatriots. "Why?" Arzel: She was talking about a... light Earendil: Why?! Because a girl's life hangs in the balance. Don't you care about that? The man shrugs. "We do. But, it is difficult to raise a person. It may not be worth the risk. People do not come back from the dead everyday." Earendil: I'll do anything you ask! Just help us! Valina's spirit looks at the man. Arzel: Her body and soul seem to be willing... Earendil: Please, if she doesn't come back, there won't be anything left for me to live for. Man: It is not up to me to decide, but the masters of the shrine. They might not grant it. There have been many ressurections these past few months, relatively speaking. The dragons in particular have been breaking the balance. Arzel: Where are the 'masters'? Earendil: Are they of the Pegasus Tribe? The man nods. "They are. But they will not speak to mortals until their prince has returned. A warlock named Yegaar has captured him." Earendil: They have to grant it, if not for me, then for Lunar. She is one of the pendant bearers. Arzel: And this man *motions to Earendil* is the new Dragonmaster. Arzel: Yegaar... what is this prince's name? The man glances back to one of the faeries. She chitters in a musical voice. Earendil: Well, almost. Man: The prince is named Tallas. Earendil: We don't have time to go save this prince. Valina doesn't have much longer. The man shrugs. "We enforce the masters' will. You must leave. They will not see you." Arzel: How long... will the body last before the soul departs for good? Valina's spirt begins to cry... Earendil rushes among them. "No! I won't go until I get an answer that I like!" Arzel: Earendil! This is not going to help Val! GMRune: The men glower and the faeries skitter back. Man: We can't help you. Now leave before you make things any worse! The masters are in mourning. Arzel: Tell me... how long before the soul departs for good? Earendil's head hangs in despair. The man shrugs. "Thirty minutes, two hours... it depends on the strength of the soul." Arzel: Earendil... we have to hurry. Earendil: And how are we going to save this prince? You and Tarrant said that this Yegaar character is impossible to defeat now Rune: The men look at each other and they and the faeries head back towards the altar. Arzel: We don't have to confront him... just get the prince out. Arzel: We have no other choice. Earendil: Can you teleport us to his hideout safely? Arzel: Probably... it's not that far away. Arzel: I've never been able to practice mass-teleports. Earendil: Then I guess we have little choice. GMRune: The door beside you shudders slightly. Arzel glances at the door. Earendil: They're trying to get in. Arzel: They seem to be making progress. Arzel: But, we need to go now, before we waste anymore time. GMRune: Geint suddenly pops through the door! Arzel: Geint! Geint pops. Valina: ... Geint examines the room. Arzel: You're... kinda late... we need to leave. Earendil: Geint? Earendil: Yes, we have to make haste. Geint: Oh. =\ Arzel glances at the people. "We will return with the prince." Geint: Oh. =\ Geint hmms. =b Earendil looks at Val's spirit. "I'll return as soon as I can. I promise." Geint waves to the crowd. "Hello. =b" Arzel: I'll teleport us back to the other side. GMRune: The crowd looks at Geint in seeming disapproval. Geint: =\ Arzel: Or can we go back through the door? Earendil tries to push on the door. Geint: I think it's kinda open now... GMRune: Kadan pops through the door. Kadan: Yikes! That's something I don't want to get used to. Arzel: Ack, not Kadan too! Geint: C'mon, Kadan. We're going. =b Arzel: We're leaving, Kaddy. Earendil: Arrgh, we have to leave, not enter. Arzel trys to walk through the door. Kadan: Umm... what? What's going on? Rune: Arzel can't walk through the door. It is solid. Arzel: We'll explain later, Kaddy. Geint: Nothing. Just c'mon. We'll tell you later. Arzel trys to teleport everyone to the other side. Kadan blinks, more than a little confused. GMRune: The party teleports back. Ayeye: Kadan! Ayeye runs to the door and pushes on it in an attempt to follow Kadan. Rein: Bah. Rein tries feeling the relief up. GMRune: Everyone from the other side returns to this room in a flash of light. Rein: ??? Kadan appears in a poof. Earendil: Everyone, we have to hurry. Geint: Where ARE we going, Earendil? Ayeye jumps back from the flash. "What happened?!" Earendil: To rescue a prince. Geint waves to Valina's corpse. =b Kadan: Don't ask me, Ayeye! GMRune: Valina's corpse shakes it head sadly. Geint: ... Geint: Okay.. Arzel: Okay everyone here's the scoop, they won't revive Val unless we return the Pegasus prince... which Yegaar has, so we get to go visit Yegaar's tower. Arzel: We have VERY little time. GMRune: Valina's ghost seems to still be on the other side of the door. Geint: =\ Geint: Oh, fun. =b Kadan: Yegaar? That arsonist psychopath from Vane? Geint: Well then... Rein: At least we have a chance! Geint: We go!! Arzel: Yup, that one Kadan. Geint: Yea! Ayeye looks dejected. "Yegaar? But...well...he's too powerful..." Arzel: We don't have to face him. Geint: We sneak as usual. =b Arzel: Hmm... I remember a pegasus we met when we went to Yegaar's... I might be able to teleport to that exact spot and free it... but I won't be able to teleport us all. Par: What's that gonna do? Rein tries to hide a vexed look. Ayeye slowly looks up. "I'll go with, I want another chance a Yeegar." Arzel: Free the prince... we don't have much time... Kadan: I guess I'll have to tag along to protect Ayeye. Arzel glances around. GMRune: Valina's body shakes its head again. It clamps on to Ayeye's arm. Arzel: Anyone else have a plan? Arzel: Maybe it wants to come with us? Geint: Obviously. Arzel: Does anyone else have a plan? GMRune: The body sticks out a purplish tongue at Arzel. Arzel: O_O Geint giggles. Geint: Go for it, Arzel..... Arzel: So... me Kadan, Ayeye and Val... Par: What about Valina's ghost though? Geint: Hey, I want to go!! Par points back at the door behind which her spirit stayed. Arzel: It's staying in there I think. Geint sits on Arzel's head. =b Arzel looks up at Geint. "I....I don't know if I'm that powerful..." Rein: Well... maybe it'll be safe there. Geint: Oh. =\ Arzel: I can try... Arzel: Everyone ready? Geint: I'll stay behind if... Arzel: I'll try Geint... Geint: Okay, if you're sure. Geint: I don't want to kill the party in wanting to help. O_o Arzel trys to teleport Kadan, Ayeye, Val, Geint, and himself to where he saw the pegasus last. GMRune: You appear in a flash of light in a dingy laboratory, vaguely familiar to those of you who have been here before. There are several impliments of dissection lying on two massive tables in the circular room. Kadan staggers for breath. "Wow. I need to learn to brace myself for those. " GMRune: There is a winged horse tangled in a massive load of chains at one end of the room near an upweards staircase. Geint: You did it, Arzel! You're really good. ^_^ Arzel looks around for the pegasus. Ayeye shakes her head to clear the confusion caused by a sudden change of location. "You did it!" Arzel: Shhhhhhst! Arzel: We DON'T wanna fight Yegaar. Ayeye nods. "I understand..." Geint quiets herself. Arzel walks over the the Pegasus. Ayeye dashes to the winged horse and tries to untangle it. GMRune: The chains seem to be magically sealed. Geint wishes she didn't have paws. =b The pegasus looks at the party with surprise. "How...?" Geint: *Whisper* Should we cast magic on the chains and risk hurting the prince a bit? =\ Geint: *Whisper* Hey, prince! Do you know how to break the spell? The pegasus seems to shrug. "I don't know... I suppose a nullfying spell ought to work." Ayeye whispers, "Does anyone know an anti-magic spell?" Arzel: Prince Tallas... we were sent by the pegasus tribe... Geint: =\ Tallas: So that's why you came back here? When Yegaar caught me again I didn't think I'd get out of here... Kadan: I can cancel magic's effects, but on myself only... Arzel looks around. "Anyone know nullifying magic? Kadan? what about your darkness magic?" Kadan: This mask can produce a stream of anti-matter, but it just tears and shreds away at whatever it touches. Would that... work here? Arzel: I'm sorry for coming back for such shelfish reasons Tallas... but a friend of mine is in trouble... Tallas nods weakly. "I can understand..." Geint: ...Can you make it so it shreads at the chains and not the price? Ayeye digs through her backpack in an attempt to find something useful for this situation. "Nope, no good, old leaves? That won't work..." Kadan: I don't know much about this mask or the magic it holds, Geint. Geint: Most I can do is put some to sleep or light them on fire. =b Arzel: Could you just try to cut the chains in certain areas so we could get the prince out. Kadan: I can try... Tallas tries turning towards the party to get a better look at them but he is restrained by his chains. GMRune: Kadan shapeshifting into catman form. Geint: Hmm.... GMRune: His mask glows with crimson light as it shoots a beam of anti-matter at the chains, dissolving them. Geint conciders stuff... Geint sits on Arzel's shoulder. Geint talks to him quietly. =b Geint: Come to think of it, I could have freed him. =b Arzel: How? Geint: Well, I have a spell that turns someone into fire like Tarrant's bush spell! Do you have it too? I'm not sure..... It would make him just go through the chains. Arzel: I can, but the chains would probobly resist the magic. Geint: But, Kadan freed him. So no matter. Geint: Oo.... forgot about that.. GMRune: Valina's body is lying unmoving on the ground of Yegaar's laboratory. Arzel sees if he can get the prince out now. Tallas shakes himself free of the chains as Kadan carefully cuts him free. GMRune: When Kadan is done he reverts to human form. Ayeye: Do you think you could help us now? GMRune: Arzel manages to get the prince free. Arzel: There you are free... let's get back to the pegasus shrine Tallas lifts his head proudly and shakes his mane. "Perhaps. What do you need?" Geint: Just stand still. We're taking you to your shrine. =) Ayeye tilts her head. "I'm not entirely sure..." Arzel: Come on all... Arzel trys to teleport them all back to the Pegasus Shrine. Tallas nods. GMRune: The party plus Tallas reappears in the Pegasus Shrine beside Rein, Earendil, and Tarrant. Arzel: Now we need to get past the door, or I could just teleport. Kadan: Whew... we're back, I guess. Arzel looks at Tallas. Tallas: I can open it. You need not worry. Ayeye looks around dumbfounded for a split- second. "Could you warn us before you do that next time?" Arzel nods to Tallas. Arzel: I said 'come on all' is that not enough warning? Kadan: Yeah, Arzel. You better give us a five-second countdown before you try that again. Tallas whinnies and steps up to the door. He snorts, letting his breath mist against the door. In response the door vaporizes, allowing passage. Geint giggles. Ayeye: Not really, if you added, 'I'm going to rip you through a hole in reality', then it would have been better. Geint: I don't see what the big deal is. ;) Arzel: Someone grab Val and bring her in. GMRune: Valina's body is still lying limp on the ground, though it's now back in the shrine rather in Yegaar's laboratory. Geint nods. Arzel walks into the room with Tallas. Ayeye drags Valina. Geint waits for one of the big humans/shadowcat to do something. =b Arzel looks at the men. "I told you I'd bring the prince back." GMRune: The men nod and bow as Tallas strides into the room. GMRune: The party no longer sees Valina's ghost in here. Arzel: What... where'd... Valina's ghost go? Man: It just vanished. Something probably happened to the body. Geint: O_o Arzel: The body... it's not animated anymore. Geint: Uh oh... Arzel: Are we... too late? Geint sniffles. "Is she... totally gone?" Ayeye: I hope not! Ayeye: She has to still be here! Geint hmms. Geint goes over to where Valina's boddy lies... Geint: Valina!!! Come back!!!! Tallas shakes his mane. "No one is ever truly gone. If your friend is the one whose body has been carted around I would guess she expired prematurely since her body left the shrine." Arzel: What... can we do? Geint: ....Meaning.....? Ayeye: No! But she wanted to go! Tallas: But... it may still be possible to bring her back. The dragons have been breaking the laws of life and death frequently these past few months. I'm surprised Althena has not condemned them for that. Rein nods. Geint: ...Wait.... Tallas: The dragons might be willing to ressurrect her. Geint: What did "the dragons" do? =b Ayeye looks curiously at Geint. "Can you, can they?" Arzel: Geint? Tallas seems to shrug. "Quark, Canth, and Shade brought some people back to life once when they got killed out on the plains near Killith. I think they brought the same group back to life another time." Arzel: You're a dragon.. Arzel: O_O Arzel: That was... Ayeye looks shocked, than smiles innocently. "I think it was..." Rein swallows Geint: ...... Tallas cocks his head to one side, curious. Arzel: I could teleport us to one of the dragon caves... Geint: Well. Let's see them, then... Arzel: Which is the closest Geint? Geint: Canth... Geint looks at the blue dragon emblem as she says that. Ayeye: Arzel? Are you sure you can do this again? That would be the fourth or fifth time today... Arzel: We have to try... Geint: I bet he can! =) Geint is glad Earendil's out of it. ;) Ayeye: Then let's go! Arzel: I'll teleport me, Val's body, and you Geint... so you can talk to Canth Geint noddles. Geint: Okay! =) Arzel: Bye again all. Arzel: Be back soon... I hope. Par: There's got to be a more convenient way to do this... Arzel: There does? *looks at Tallas* Tallas: I could transport all of you there if you are willing to take the time. I'm certain there there are enough of my tribe left to carry you all. Geint: =b Arzel nods to Tallas. "Thank, you." Tallas whistles and a portal opens up behind the alter. It leads out of the shrine and back to the fields of white fluffy stuff on the ground below. In the distance you can see several pegasi wheeling through the sky. They swivel at Tallas's whistle and fly towards the opening. Geint: ...I still can't belive it took me so long to realise this was the Pegasus Shrine. O_o Tallas: You are fortunate that our tribe has not dwindled as swiftly as others. But still, we decline. I think the days of high magic on Lunar are passing. Geint looks for the owl. ;b GMRune: Geint does not see the owl. Kadan: High magic? Arzel: It's the empire, Tallas... they're hording all the magic... GMRune: Seven additional pegasi alight into the shrine. Arzel starts to walk towards the pegasi. Tallas nods. "I know. But... they can't keep it." He notes the landing of the others. "Now mount. We'll carry you as swiftly as our wings will allow." Arzel: Uhh... would someone get Val? Ayeye drags Valina over to a pegasus and puts her on its back. Arzel mounts one of the pegasi. GMRune: The pegasus takes care to keep her steady. Geint flies on her own. ~Earendil mounts on the pegasus with Valina to make sure she doesn't fall off. GMRune: Once the party has mounted the pegasi, they head for the open space from the shrine. Kadan gets on a pegasus. Ayeye catiously gets up on to a pegasus. "Maybe we'll get into an aerial battle again." Tallas: Good luck, heroes. I believe I will see you again. Arzel: Good bye, Tallas.
