GMRune: We last left off with the entire twelfth floor being engulfed in flame. The spectacle is easily viewed by those who are in the city below. Valina: Ohh... I sure hope someone up there had marshmellows... It would be a shame to waste a fire like that GMRune: Geint has gone off to look for Arzel, and she's sighted something that looks like him heading towards the top floor of the Citadel. Arzel himself has gone to investigate the disapparence of the green barrier and the ensuing explosion. Earendil: I hope the rest of our group is alright. Valina stands close to Earendil. GMRune: Valina, Earendil, and Rein are standing on the roof of one of the few buildings near the Citadel. Valina: I hope so too. Arzel starts to fly towards what looks like Geint. Geint follows what she thinks is Arzel stealthily. GMRune: Arzel and Geint meet each other in the skies near the Citadel's tower. GMRune: Arzel is riding a gryphon and Par is with him. Arzel: Am I glad to see you Geint... what's going on anyway? Geint: Well... I came here to tell you to get the gryphons... Arzel: Well we seem to have a problem. Geint: Everybody got lost.... GMRune: Down below, the warlock crowd is murmuring loudly among itself, with frequent pointing to the remains of the twelfth floor. Arzel: This is the only gryphon...the others were captured by that army we saw. Earendil: Dammit, I feel so helpless over here. Geint: O_o Geint: How many can this gryphon hold? Valina: I just hope Arzel gets us outta here, fast. Arzel: And there's no trace of them... even this one can't find his pack Valina stands on the roof and waits... with the wind blowing in her hair. GMRune: Valina, Ear, and Rein can make out the sole gryphon flying around the tower part of the Citadel. Arzel: Well I think this one can hold about three. Geint: Well.... as I said before... the group split up! Arzel: Oh good... this is gonna be fun. Par: Where is everyone then? Geint: I was with Ayeye's half, got seprerated, flew out, and found the other group. Valina: Ummm one? Where is two through eight? Valina: Earendil, I'm worried... Earendil holds Valina's hand, "Don't worry, we've been in worse before." Geint points Arzel to Earendil and Valina. Par looks up at the twelfth floor. "Arzel... do you think they could be up there?" Arzel: Do you know where anyone is Geint? Geint: Over on that building. Geint: That's where Earendil and Valina were. They're stranded. ;) Arzel flys over to where Geint pointed. GMRune: Arzel finds Valina, Earendil, and Rein standing together on the rooftop. Arzel: Uhh...hi. ^_^ Arzel: We seem to have a little problem. Geint: Hey guys! Finally found him! ~Rein: Good job, Geint! Geint: Whoa! What's with the fire? Earendil: Your timing is impeccable. Valina: Hi... Arzel: The other gryphons have been...uhh...captured. Valina: Ohh... ummm... Earendil: Oh grand! Valina: That's, nice. I hope they are being treated well. Arzel: I couldn't find any trace of them execpt an imprint of a net in the ground. GMRune: The gryphon caws and butts Earendil with his head. Earendil: Hey! Arzel: Oh... ya this one was the one you flew Ear. Valina: But I don't think warlocks know how to treat them well, so... I say we go get them!! Par: We don't know where they are though... Earendil scratches the gryphon's head. Arzel: Uhh Val... I have no idea where they are... Killith is a big place. GMRune: The gryphon mewls. Arzel: I can transport you guys off the roof on the gryphon but it can only hold about one more person at a time. Par looks down over the side of the building. Arzel: And I don't wanna leave Par, he's still in pretty bad condition Par: Umm... you might want to try doing that moving now... Earendil looks over to Valina and Rein. "Do you think we can sneak out that tunnel again?" Par points down over the side of the building. Valina: Well, we can try... ~Rein nods in agreement. Valina: Oh, well, we'll have to find an easier way down. How about "Par's Griffen Express Elevator?" Geint looks. Arzel looks where Par points. Valina: Or.. would 'slime' stairs be better. :P GMRune: Down below the party can see that a group of warlocks are busy cordoning off the building. Earendil: Uh oh, seems like they found our hiding place. Arzel: Ahh... I think we have another problem. Par nods. ~Rein: Have you seen the others at all, Arzel? Arzel: Nope... I just saw Geint and she showed me where you were. Geint: And last I saw they were in......... Geint: O_o Geint: ........... Arzel: Should I try to get you three off this roof? ~Rein looks nervously down below. "Umm... good idea." Valina: Yea... that would be nice, thank you :) Earendil: It doesn't seem like we have much choice. Arzel: One more problem... there are warlocks everywhere... where should I drop you. Valina: Outta town? Geint flies over to the burning building, and tries to look in what she can--being very careful of not being spotted... because that would suck. Valina: Or by the school, we can sneek into the tunnel from there. Arzel: There's not really much cover outside... and there's a large army GMRune: Geint easily makes it up to the outskirts of the twelfth floor. Arzel: Earendil? You wanna go with Val's plan? Earendil: The White Dragon Wings would be very useful right about now. ~Rein: Whatever we do, I think we'd better hurry. Geint looks in. Earendil: Yes, I can't think of anywhere else to put us in this city. Arzel: I'll start to ferry you guys out then. Arzel: Val hop on. Valina hops on! Arzel: I'll be back. Arzel starts to fly out of the city. Earendil: Haste my friend, haste. Valina waves to Earendil. Earendil waves back. GMRune: Arzel quickly makes it to the outside of the city now that the barrier is out of the way. Arzel: I'm going to drop you and Par outside the city behind whatever cover I can find...you have to get away from the spot I drop you because they'll see us... Valina: Okay... Par nods faintly. Geint gasps!! Valina: I'm good at running... I did it for three years. Arzel: Just don't get found Val... we don't want to go in and rescue two people. Arzel drops Val near the mountain. Geint flies back over to the rest in HASTE!!! GMRune: Arzel lands, letting Valina and Par dismount. Geint: GUYS!!!!!! Valina: Thank you! Geint's eyes bug out. GMRune: Warlocks have begun to enter the first floor of the building Earendil and Rein are still on. Arzel: Don't get found. Geint: O_O Arzel flys back to the building. Valina runs off. Geint: I found....I found...... Earendil: What? What? Geint: In the building...... fire....... there was...... Geint: *Pant* *Pant* Valina finds a nice stone cropping behind a bush... ~Rein: Take it easy, Geint! Valina hides! Geint: AYEYE! KADAN! TARRANT!! They're in there and they're not moving!! Arzel flys with haste. Par stumbles after Valina and eventually catches up with her. Kadan lies motionless. Earendil: Dammit. Earendil: We have to get them out fast. GMRune: Arzel makes it back to the building where Rein, Ear, and now Geint are. Valina hides very low to the ground... only the bunnies can see her. Arzel: Who's next? Par just crashes on the ground and hopes he's hidden. Arzel looks at Geint. "You look like hell" Arzel: What's up? Earendil: Tell him, Geint. Valina looks at Par in the middle of the ground! Valina: Humm... ~Rein: Can't we all fit on the gryphon? It looks like there's enough room if Geint flies. Geint talks quickly. "TarrantKadanandAyeyeareintheburningbuilding!!!" Valina sneaks out and covers Par with some plants and sneaks back in Par _really_ feels stupid now. Arzel: Okay Rein, Ear hop on... where are they Geint? Earendil looks over the building and sees the warlocks entering. GMRune: Rein climbs on the gryphon. Geint: They're...they're......in that floor *points* Arzel flys towards the building once Rein and Ear are on. Earendil gratefully accepts Arzel's invitation. Arzel flys with haste. GMRune: Arzel reaches the ruined window of the Citadel's twelfth floor. The gryphon can just barely squeeze through the opening. Arzel: I don't think we're going to fit Tarrant, Kadan, and Ayeye on this too. Arzel looks around. Geint: But we HAVE to!! =( GMRune: Inside you can see Ayeye lying unconscious on the floor. Tarrant is lying face down nearby and Kadan's arm pokes out from beneath a pile of rubble. Ghaleon is nowhere in sight. Arzel curses. Arzel: Ear, help me get this rubble off Kadan. The bush trundles timidly out from Ayeye's backpack and pants when it sees the arriving party. Earendil goes to help Arzel. Arzel trys to uncover Kadan. GMRune: Together Arzel and Earendil manage to uncover Kadan. Earendil yells over to Rein. "Start doing your thing." Arzel: Uhh Rein...can you help Tar and Ayeye? ~Rein comes over and casts Heal Aura over the party. Arzel: Okay I have an idea to get them outta here. Earendil: What is it? GMRune: Ayeye gains 44 hp, Kadan gains 58 hp, Tarrant gains 58 hp. They all wake up. Arzel: The gryphon can probably carry Kadan and Tar in it's claws...we'll just have to fit Ayeye on its back with us. Kadan emits a heavy groan. ~Rein: Won't Kadan be a big load for its claws? Tarrant groans. Geint: I'm so glad I thought to look in this building for you guys!! =O Geint: Or you'd be marshmellows. =( Arzel: Well with 3 people already on its back... Kadan's not going to help its back. Kadan rubs his head. "What the... Who are.. Huh? Oh... hi..." Tarrant: Thanks uhhh.. Geint. Ayeye tries to get up, but she is too weak. Earendil: Just relax as we try to find a way to get us out of here. ~Rein: Did you guys ever find Leon? Arzel walks over to the gryphon and casts heal litany on it to fix it's wounds. Ayeye: Arzel? Earendil? You made it... GMRune: The gryphon is restored to full health. Tarrant casts heal aura. Valina is still hiding. Ayeye manages to sit up, "Leon... he's over there." Geint: ? Earendil: We didn't see him anywhere. Arzel examines the gryphon's claws to see if they'll carry Kadan's weight. Arzel: Where Ayeye? Ayeye shakes her head, "He was here before..." GMRune: Kadan gains 106 hp, Rein gains 1 hp, Geint gains 99 hp, Earendil gains 106 hp, Arzel gains 24 hp, Tarrant gains 106 hp. Arzel looks around. GMRune: There is still a lot of debris in the room. The way back down to the eleventh floor is also blocked. Kadan grunts and stretches his arms back and forth. Kadan looks around. "Did we beat 'em?" Arzel: Leon?! GMRune: There is no answer. Earendil: Anything else in here besides you guys would've have been burnt to a crisp, so yes, you beat them. Arzel: I don't think the gryphon can hold Kadan in one claw...h ow are we going to get you all out of here? Earendil: Two trips? Arzel explains the lack of gryphons to the people. Arzel: We could leave Kadan here and come back for him. Ayeye stands up unsteadily, "Where is Leon?" Kadan: Umm... I'm not sure I want to stay here for any time. Earendil: I'll stay behind if I have too. Arzel: He's not here...unless he's piled under rubble. GMRune: There are still the two glowing cylinders of light that are holding the imprisoned Mileria and Elron here. Despite the explosion, they are still intact. Arzel: And we have to save Elron and Mileria? I think we definetly need 2 trips Earendil: Did you guys have any luck breaking the cylinders? Kadan: I had my attention on those warlock scum... Ayeye stumbles over to a piller and leans against it. "No." Geint glances at everyone, wondering if anyone is light enough for HER to carry. The bush squeaks. Arzel: We have to think of something! Tarrant: I can turn everyone into ambushes and then we would be light... The bush sniffs and begins trundling across the floor, sniffing at various parts of the rubble. Earendil shudders at the thought of becoming a plant. ~Rein: That actually might work, Tarrant... Ayeye slides down to the floor so she is sitting against the pillar. Arzel: Do you have enough magic Tarrant? The bush sniffs, and then gives a yip, beginning to shuffle through some of the debris. Arzel walks over to the bush. Earendil notices the bush and walks over to it. Tarrant: I have enough for about fifteen people, that's more than enough. Arzel: I think it found something. The bush turns to the party and looks pleased with itself. Tarrant: Maybe I dropped a cookie. Geint looks at what the bush is up to. The bush tries digging further but isn't strong enough. Geint: What's up, thing? Arzel starts to dig where the bush was. Earendil starts moving the rubble where the bush was. GMRune: Arzel and Earendil unearth Ghaleon. The bush immediately yips and starts digging through Ghaleon's rations. Arzel pulls the bush off and hands it to Ayeye. Arzel: Leon. Earendil: Rein! Arzel: Uhh...Rein...we need your help. ~Rein comes over. GMRune: Rein casts Heal Litany! Ghaleon gains 65 hp and wakes up! Valina sleeps like a cat while hiding. HEY! She has had a long day and could use some rest! Arzel: Leon! You're alive. Ghaleon: Uh? Zzzz.... Geint grabs Leon's ration bag from the bush. Ghaleon shakes himself. "Ooo... something hit me." The bush rustles at Geint! Arzel: Ya, the roof hit you. Geint puts the rations on Leon's stomach. Ghaleon: Thanks, little dragon! Ghaleon puts his rations away. Arzel: Well it looks like our only chance to get out of here is Tarrant's idea. Arzel: Well there's a chance to get the other gryphons if they were transported into the City. Earendil: We'll never find them in the city now, too many warlocks around. Ghaleon looks longingly at the suspended figures of his parents. For a moment he seems indecisive, but he stops himself and heads over near the gryphon. ~Rein: Valina is waiting for us. She might worry if we take too long. Arzel looks at Elron. Arzel: You really wanna walk away from Killith? We need the gryphons to get away... GMRune: Elron remains floating in the light, seemingly asleep. Earendil: Hmm, there might be a way to free them, but we can't do it right now. Arzel: I'm open to suggestions Earendil: It involves getting something, and I don't even know if this something exists. Valina is really sleeping in the nice hiding spot she found... Geint: Hey wait--about the walking idea.... Arzel looks at Earendil. "And what would that be?" Ghaleon: We'll free them! One day...! Geint: Ya know, Canth's cave is by here. =) Par is still lying out on the ground, _still_ with the plants Valina dumped on him. Earendil whispers to Arzel, "Let's talk about it later, I don't want to get Ghaleon's hope up." Earendil: Are you hinting at something Geint? Arzel: Well let's get outta here now... before the warlocks find a way in and kill us all. Geint: Yea! I'm saying we could go there! Arzel: Uhh...let's decide about which dragon cave to go to...but we really need to leave. Valina is dreaming of a real bed... something she hasn't seen since she escaped from Banshee's manor. Earendil: Let's just go, Tarrant, wave those magic hands of yours. GMRune: The party gathers near the gryphon. Tarrant: Okay then... Arzel: Don't turn me into an ambush. Geint: Alright... I was just saying we could make a run to his cave from here.... It wouldn't be hard, and a hell of an escape route. Arzel: I need to be able to fly. Geint doesn't turn either. Ayeye stays lying against the piller. Geint: I need to be able to fly, too. =b Tarrant: Arzel and Geint you stand back. Geint stands back! Earendil closes his eyes. Arzel stands back. Tarrant cast Plant Soul on the entire group. GMRune: The party, barring Arzel and Geint, are all turned into ambushes! The bush pants and joins the crowd. Arzel gathers up all the little ambushes and puts them on the gryphon. Arzel hops on the gryphon, looks around to make shure they didn't forget Leon this time, and starts to leave GMRune: Ghaleon makes a nice silvery bush, Kadan is a very big one with stiff branches, Ayeye and Rein are on the small side, etc. Arzel flys out the window to where he droped off Val. GMRune: Arzel flies off on the gryphon with his careful packages sitting tenaciously behind him. The gryphon seems disturbed with all the plant life. Arzel pats the gryphon and tells it it'll be okay. Earendil thinks, "I hope that the gryphon doesn't like to eat ambushes." Arzel flys to where he thinks Val and Par are. GMRune: The gryphon caws and gives itself a little shake. GMRune: Arzel lands somewhere in the vicinity of Valina and Par. However, he doesn't see any sign of them. Arzel: Val? Par? Valina wakes from her catnap. Ghaleon the bush falls off the gryphon and trundles off to one side. Valina does't move. Arzel: It's us, Val. Arzel: Where are you going, Leon? Earendil the bush gets off and starts jumping violently. Geint glides to the ground and looks around. Ghaleon seems to look up at Arzel and then trundles over to Geint. Arzel: VALLLL?! Geint looks around. Arzel: PAR? Valina sneeks under the rock/bush formation and grabs Earendil's root! GMRune: Valina sees the party of bushs, Arzel, Geint, and the gryphon. Earendil makes the closest noise to an eek a ambush can make. Valina thinks "Yummy roots? Naaa..." Arzel: Where's Par, Val? Earendil thinks, "Nobody ever said becoming a dragonmaster would entail this!" Valina crawls out of her hiding spot... The bush hops off around on the gryphon and looks at Ayeye. Arzel goes looking for Par. Valina points. "There --> " GMRune: Arzel notices a giant pile of plants lying absurdly on the ground. Arzel uncovers Par. Par appears to be asleep. Arzel: Nice disguise, Par. :) Arzel trys to wake Par gently. Par stirs slightly. "Wha...?" Valina: It worked.. Arzel: We've got everyone, Par. Arzel helps Par get up. Par manages to sit up. "Great. They're all the ambushes?" Par stands up with Arzel's help. "Where to now?" Valina: Nice... Geint: Only way they could all fit on the ONE gryphon. Ghaleon the bush bops slightly in agreement. Arzel: Geint want's to go to the dragon cave near here. Earendil the bush starts jumping violently again. Par: Well... that's good. The army isn't in that direction. Geint: ..When...does this...wear off? =b Ayeye the bush lies limply. Par points at Earendil. "I think whoever that one is wants to be changed back now." The bush nuzzles Ayeye. Arzel: But we may wanna find the other gryphons if we want to get to Geint's cave at an acceptible speed. Arzel: Well I think we have to wait for the spell to wear off. Geint: We're within running distance. =b Arzel: Tarrant's the only one with the spell and he's a bush. Geint: Or trundling. =b Par: Well, if they stay as bushes, we probably can get to the cave on one gryphon. I don't know if we'll find the others. Geint sighs. Arzel: Well let's try. Arzel trys to load all the bushes on the gryphon again, and helps Par and Val climb on. Valina: Thank you. Ghaleon behaves and lets himself be piled back with the other bushes. Arzel nods. Arzel: Where is the cave, Geint? Earendil sulks. Geint: I'll take you there. =) Geint: We flying? Arzel follows Geint. Arzel: Yup. Arzel pats the Earendil-looking bush. "It'll wear off soon." Geint gets off the ground while everyone gets onto the gryphon. Geint: Hopefully not TOO soon. GMRune: Geint leads the party across the prarie terrain. The journey goes smoothly and Tarrant's spell holds. You soon pass over the river just outside of Canth's cave. GMRune: The gryphon lands wearily and gives itself a shake, throwing off some of the bushes. Arzel lands by the cave. GMRune: The Plant Soul spells wear off and the party is restored to normal. Arzel: Gryphons and dragons aren't exactly the most friendly combination. Arzel climbs off. Earendil: Ugh, I will NEVER do that again! Arzel: Welcome back everyone. Kadan gives Tarrant a mild Stare of Death. "Don't you EVER try that again unless absolutely necessary." Arzel: Would you rather of stayed in the tower Ear? Ghaleon shudders, thinking of how good soil was looking to him. Earendil: Almost. The bush looks disappointed. Earendil looks at the entrance to the cave. "I didn't think I'd be back here for a while." Valina wonders what the bush would look like if it too turned human... Arzel gives the gryphon directions to stay near the cave entrance. Ayeye sits on the ground, "I don't know if I can make it through the cave...I still feel too weak..." GMRune: The gryphon bobs its head and caws in acknowledgement. Arzel: We can rest here for a while. Arzel: You guys look like you need it... Earendil continues to stare at the entrance. Geint waits in front of the cave. Arzel sits down near the gryphon and pats it. Ghaleon sits down, wondering if this other dragon is a little cute one like Geint! GMRune: The gryphon croons and chitters with pleasure. Kadan tries to keep his distance from the beast. Geint flies over to the group and goes to the ground. The bush trundles up to Geint. Ayeye: Anyone know what happened in that tower? Geint looks at the bush. The bush "looks" back at Geint. Valina: Well, I saw the fire... ~Rein: It seemed like the heat inside just poured right out of the tower. Arzel: So... are we going to rest? Geint rests. Arzel: Anyone know why the dome went away? Did you disrupt the magic that was draining Elron and his wife? Ayeye smiles weakly. "That...That was my fault..." Ghaleon: Ayeye hit it! Arzel: Well it was good you did it... I wouldn't of gotten in any other way. Ayeye: Yeah, and it only almost killed us... Ghaleon: Ayeye whacked the big crystal with a round dark thing! =) GMRune: As the party rests, you hear the sound of voices wafting up from below, from within the blue dragon cave. Arzel sits up with a start. Arzel: Uhh... am I hearing things? Earendil still staring at the cave, strains to listen. GMRune: The voices are low and gutteral, meshing words together in a hurried speech that is difficult to make out. Arzel: I think we should go in... now. GMRune: There are several of them, arguing amongst each other and heading towards the exit of the cave. Arzel: I think we should hide. Earendil puts his hand on his sword hilt. Arzel tells the gryphon to hide behind the nearest rock outcroping. GMRune: The gryphon bounds away and disappears around a bend. Arzel hides too. Ayeye stands up unsteadily. Ghaleon tries hiding near Arzel. Earendil gets behind a rock with his sword drawn. GMRune: The voices draw closer. They are definately human, and quite impatient. Ayeye slowly and shakily moves toward cover. ~Rein makes himself scarce and finds a hiding place. Kadan seems a bit wary about the cave. ~Valina hides in a nice little cleft in the rock! Arzel: *quietly* Tar, Kadan! HIDE! Par grabs Ayeye's bush and hides. Kadan looks from side to side apprehensively and tries to flatten himself against an obscure surface. Arzel sighs "Kadan, the master of disguise...Not!" Geint wonders where she is. =b Tarrant dives for cover. Arzel waits. GMRune: The party sees a group of seven armored warlocks march out of the cave. Their usual bad dispositions seem even worse today as they grumble about Gausuton giving them the wrong directions to follow in the cave. Kadan tries to be absolutely silent. GMRune: The warlocks pass by the hidden party members, seeming too intent on their own problems to bother looking for more. Arzel stays quiet. Warlock: Lord Gausuton's gonna have our hides for this! Even if it was his fault his map wasn't accurate. Arzel waits for them to leave. Warlock2: He could at least have given us some better transportation. He's so domineering to warlocks who aren't of his house... Arzel looks around for the transportation they're talking about. GMRune: The warlocks pause and continue their bickering once they reach the river's edge, only yards away from the cave's entrance. Warlock3: Well, someone has to test the new wheel things anyway. I guess it was our bad luck that it was us. Arzel looks at the river. GMRune: The river is at one of its faster speeds, ready to suck people downstream as it had before. Arzel wonders what the warlocks are waiting for. GMRune: One of the warlocks suddenly halts his speech and waves to the others. Arzel continues to hide. Warlock: Hey, I think I heard something coming from around the mountain. GMRune: The warlock heads towards the gryphon's hiding place, the rest of his companions following close behind him. GMRune: Suddenly the gryphon shrieks and scuffles out of its hiding place, trying to burst past the warlocks to get airborne. Arzel curses under his breath. GMRune: One of the warlocks mutters an oath and gestures at the gryphon. Before it can take another step it is frozen in stone. Warlock4: Hmph. I'm almost surprised to see one out here. Must be a remnant of the group we found earlier. GMRune: The warlocks surround the stone gryphon and another of them utters a spell, shrinking the gryphon to the size of a child's ball. GMRune: He then picks up the gryphon and stows it away in one of his belt pouches. Arzel realizes... so that's what they did to my gryphons. Warlock3: C'mon, let's get going. The sooner we get this over with, the better. No Blue Dragon Helmet is bad, but at least we won't be empty-handed now. Geint sulks. She doesn't like the sound of that. Arzel wants to go out and get his gryphon back... but doesn't want to give the party away Geint: o O ( Why does Canth get bothered so much?!?! ) GMRune: The party of warlocks each take out a small silver rod. With a command word the rod grows to provide a seat and three wheels. The warlocks climb on and the contraptions wheel off. Arzel comes out from his hiding spot once they're gone. GMRune: The warlocks and their silver vehicles cross the river and fade into the distance. Earendil comes out, "Well, seems that we came at the right time." ~Rein crops up and nods quietly. Par: I wonder what they meant about the directions being wrong though... Gausuton has been here before. Geint: . . . . . Earendil: Geint, can you get us through? Geint: Sure I can.... Geint: Sheesh. These times aren't easy on the aging Canth. =b Ghaleon: Canth is a really BIG dragon? Geint: Yea. Arzel: Canth should find a new cave... one so close to Killith can't be a good idea. Geint: I know... I know.... but Canth is old fashioned. =b Earendil: He's a helluva lot bigger than our little Geint. Geint: I just hope it won't get him killed being like that.... Geint sighs a cute Geint sigh. =) Earendil: Shall we go in? ~Rein: I guess we're going in then? Ayeye leans against a nearby rock for support, "How far is it?" Arzel wanders over to Par. "Do you know how to reverse that shrink spell they cast on my Gryphon?" Geint walks over to the cave. Par shakes his head. "I'm afraid I'm not that skilled in magic. I started my training late, so I'm behind a lot of the other warlocks." Arzel sighs and sulks. "Thanks anyway, Par." Par: I'm sorry I can't help. Geint finds a stick. GMRune: Geint finds a stick, and it's a real stick this time. :) Arzel: I can generate some light with my magic if you want Geint. Geint: ..Oh. Geint: I was getting this for a torch. Arzel has 5th level light magic :) Arzel: Okay...make a torch then. :) Geint: Your light magic may be better, tho. I could find my way through there in the dark. Geint: This was for you guys. Arzel concentrates a bit and starts to glow. Arzel: Let's go. GMRune: Arzel shines bright enough for the party to see him as he steps into Canth's cave. Earendil follows Arzel into the cave. Arzel lets Geint lead. Geint holds the stick just in case. Geint: Can you see me, Arzel? Arzel: Yup. :) Lead on. Arzel follows after Geint. Ayeye slowly and unsteadily follows Earendil. "How far is it?" GMRune: The interior is as thick with moisture as you remember it. However the walls seems strangely contoured, and after you've gone no more than ten steps you realize that something is definately unfamiliar. Earendil: I can't remember. Geint leads the party through the cave easily. Geint: . . . . . . . Kadan looks up and around. Arzel: Uhh... something is majorly wrong here. GMRune: The tunnels do not turn where they are supposed to, and you begin to sense a feeling of being lost. Geint: ...I know.... Geint's voice shakes. Earendil: What in Althena's name is going on? Geint sounds very uneasy.. Geint: Oh geez... Ayeye: Please, don't tell me that... Arzel: What's happened? Geint lights her torch and hands it to a human of the group. Ayeye rests against a wall, "What are we going to do?" GMRune: A cool breeze roars at the party from behind, chilling you to the bone. Geint: O_o Earendil shudders and turns around. GMRune: There is no sign of the exit. Geint: ..... I...I....don't like this... GMRune: All trace of the cavern's mouth has vanished as though it never existed. Instead, the tunnel merely leads on. Geint: I don't like this at ALL. Earendil: Geint, how could the cave change like this? Geint: O_o Geint: WAaaaAAaAaaaAAaa.. I don't know how!!! But I bet it was those warlocks!! Geint: Or some other ones!! Par: I don't know... Ayeye lets herself fall to the floor. "This isn't good." Geint growls. Par shudders from the cold. Earendil: Damn . . . Geint: If... if... they did anything to Canth... I'll... I'll... GMRune: Faintly, the party can hear a gurgling sound coming from ahead of them. Geint looks... Earendil turns back around, GMRune: The maker of the sounds is still shrouded in darkness, but draws nearer with each passing second. From behind comes a series of dull splashes. Kadan watches to the rear of the group. Geint: .......Canth? GMRune: As the sounds draw nearer, Geint's torch is suddenly blown out, leaving Arzel as the party's sole source of light. GMRune: -------end session------
