GMRune: The Emperor reacted quickly to the situation and chaos had returned, with warlocks forming two sides, one of House Magus, and another containing the Emperor and his followers. Lord Bask tried reasoning with the Emperor to no avail. GMRune: And now the Emperor is calling on his magic to smite those who would oppose him! Valina stumbles back. Bask: Damn it. Lord Bask raises up a silver shield before you to ward off the effects of Kargeth's magic. He glances back at Mileria, Elron, Leon, and the party. Rein is near an exit as he had broken for it earlier, but spins around as he sees Ear and Val in the middle of the room. Kadan hmms, then moves his bishop in the magnetic travel game of chess that he is playing with Ayeye. "Your turn." Bask: Go on! All of you! Try to escape while I hold him off! GMRune: Several of House Magus's warlocks move to reinforce their lord's magic. Valina: ohh..no.. Earendil mutters, "Oh shit." Elron hesitantly looks at Lord Bask and then down at Leon, he nods to the party as Mileria takes Leon's hand. Valina runs! Bask: Get Leon out of here! Rein scrambles after the rest of the party. Ayeye stares at the board for several minutes, "What's this funny thing that looks like part of a castle?" Elron and Mileria gather usher the party out the door and down the stairs! ~Arzel follows Rein and the others. Geint: Uh oh! Leon! Mileria is holding on to Leon's hand, making sure he stays with them. Tarrant huffs and puffs as he is not used to all of this running. Valina is having a hard time running down the stairs in these shoes! GMRune: The party blitzes down the steps, and explosions ring out behind you! The blasts shake the very foundations of the Crystal Spire! Rein struggles to tear off the silly cloak they had him wear. GMRune: Meanwhile, down on the second floor where Kadan and Ayeye are. The two hear several explosions coming from above. Par runs down to meet you guys. Valina kicks off her shoes! Earendil rips his hood off and throws his cloak on the ground. Par: (panting for breath) Kargeth found out House Magus is behind the rebellion! C'mon! We've got to get the weapons and armor for the guys at the ball! Kadan leaps up to his feet and looks at Ayeye. "What the... what's that?" Par: Kadan, Ayeye! Come on! Rein looks around and does a quick head count "oh no... guess who's still in there... " Valina: ohh... so it is not US they are after... Mileria: What do you mean? GMRune: Footsteps begin to patter down the stairs after the group that was at the ball. Kadan blinks in confusion. "Par...? What's up? What did you get into up there?" Valina: Well... Mileria not ME specifically. Valina: Yet Valina: ... Ayeye: Kadan, it was a trap, just like I suspected. Valina: But still... Par: I didn't get into anything, I wasn't there. But someone ran down and told me what was happening! Earendil: We can't stand here talking, RUN! Valina runs... GMRune: The party continues running... seventh floor... sixth floor... Kadan looks around to assess the situation, then the noises convince him to heed Par's advice. Elron: This isn't any good. You guys can't run fast enough dressed up like that! Keep going! I'll hold them off! Elron turns around and draws his sword. Rein puts his head down and sprints. Valina is having a hard time with this! Even without her shoes! GMRune: The party continues runnings down the steps. GMRune: A warlock appears in front of you, but is quickly blasted down by a thunderbolt from Mileria. GMRune: Fifth floor... Fourth... GMRune: Another shape phases into view. Elanor: I TOLD you I'd see you again soon! Valina: That was fast ;) Earendil: You! Ayeye: Par, do you know if the others got out? Valina: Great! Mileria raises her hand to cast another spell, but pauses. Rein skids to a stop. Kadan looks nervously around. "We can't wait here forever. We'll give them just one more moment, Ayeye." Par: I don't know. I hope they have. They should be coming down any minute now... Earendil: I don't have time to deal with you little sister, out of the way! Elanor looks confidently at the group. Valina runs into the back of Rein, pushing him over as she falls on him! Elanor: Sorry, but I'm afraid I can just walk out of the way. Rein: Waahh! Elanor: You see, I can just let any of you escape. There are three in this group I especially would like to see captured. Kadan concentrates and tries to listen from the noises from above. Valina: And who whould those select three be? Valina: Me... Valina: And? Elanor: Besides, I put out the fire on your friend's hood. You should be grateful at least for that! Earendil: And who . . . would that be? Elanor smirks. "Lady Mileria already knows one of the three, and you, my dear brother, are the third." Rein: Hmmm... Mileria: Earendil, if you give me the word... Mileria holds a ball of flame in her right hand. Valina: Ohh no... ~Arzel thinks for a moment. Earendil: No, I will eventually deal with her in my own way. Valina: This is going to be ugly. Elanor: So what now, brother? Shall you surrender? Once the other warlocks are free of the battle above, they most certainly will come down here. Kadan becomes quite nervous. "Par, we can't wait forever. They might already be dead. We have to get out of here." Ayeye: I'm with Kadan, I warned them, they should have listened. Par: True. Maybe we could go up a couple flors and look for them though... Valina: How about we just leave and forget the whole thing ;)? Earendil: Surrender?! Not in this lifetime. Kadan: No, Par, we can't do that. Somebody has to escape from here. It's better that you, Ayeye, and I get out of here than none at all. Par: I would hate to have to do that though. But all right. Ayeye: We can't. Maybe we can rescue them later, but only if we escape. Rein: We gotta go, guys.... Tarrant: We will never surrender. ~Arzel whispers something to Earendil. Elanor: Too bad then. ~Arzel casts Smoke Choke! GMRune: Elanor conks out! Rein sees the opening and makes a break for it. Mileria pulls Leon along, and the party heads on down the steps again. Earendil looks down at his sister and moves quickly along. Valina gets up and runs too. Geint flies off of Arzel and goes on her own. GMRune: The party hits the third floor... then the second... They see Par, Kadan, and Ayeye standing near the staircase to the first floor. Rein: Run, guys! Valina is running as fast as she can. Earendil: Go, they'll catch up with us soon! GMRune: The group from the ball catches up with the others as they descend to the first floor. Mileria holds up a small globe and the exit to the Crystal Spire opens before you! Kadan takes one second to acknowledge the group, then bolts down as fast as he can. Mileria's pace slows as you reach the exit to the Crystal Spire. She glances back into the reddened halls of the tower. Cries of pain and anguish still echo from within. Valina: Wha? Mileria: I have to go back. My husband is still fighting in there. He'll need my help. Geint: =( Earendil: Mileria, you can't, who'll lead the rebellion? Ayeye looks back to the Spire. "Well Kadan, you were right about one thing, evil does turn against itself." Tarrant: Mileria, I will go with you.. You can't go alone. Geint: Tarrant!! Mileria: I know... But there are others who are capable. I can't leave Elron behind! Kadan nods. "We'll have to get out of here. This situation is deteriorating quickly." Mileria: As long as Leon can get to safety! Rein: We need you, Tarrant! GMRune: An armored figure suddenly flashes into view on the steps of the Crystal Spire. His cruel gaze is only too familiar to the lot of you. Earendil lowers his head. "I . . . understand." Ayeye: Right, come on guys, we need to move before the warlocks get out here! Gausuton: Stop right there, Mileria! You and your lackeys can't flee from me! Geint: If you gotta do that, then do it, Maam. Mileria: Thank you. Valina looks. Geint: Uh oh.. =( Gausuton's eyes glance in Valina's direction once, but then shift back to Lady Mileria. Valina: ARGHHHH!!!!! Tarrant: We spoke to soon.. Gausuton: Hand over the child. Kadan jerks back in an adversarial stance to Gausuton. "You... This is a friend of yours, Valina?" Valina: No... Geint: Eat me! Earendil: You again, Gausuton? You keep turning up like a bad coin. Mileria: This is as far as I go with you. No arguments! Par, take Leon to safety while I hold off Gausuton! Geint: Or worse! Bad fish! Par: But, my lady! Mileria: Go! I have foreseen a time when he can escape his destiny. Take him to the old sage south of the Nanza Barrier! The Red Dragon's cave is near there, so your friends should have no qualms about helping you! Now leave me! Geint: What? All by yourself? Mileria: You'll have to trust me! I can do it! Geint: Ok.... Geint: =( Rein starts to leave, pulling on Arzel's sleeve. Mileria casts a final glance at her son. She raises boths her hands before her, and closes her eyes. A sphere of sparkling blackness appears between them. Geint: Be careful, Mileria! Rein: Let's go guys. Par: Let's go... Earendil: Good luck, Mileria. Kadan attempts to use his skills to marshall the group out of the area. "Let's move! Mileria is a strong lady. She can take care of herself. We cannot survive this situation!" Gausuton laughs at Mileria's acceptance of her fate as a green aura surrounds him. Valina looks at Gausuton. Geint sighs saddly and rests on Earendil's shoulder. Valina is startled! GMRune: As you flee the site of the battlefield, the last words you hear are Mileria calling out, "Dragon Cannon!" Valina: My... pendant... GMRune: The base of the Crystal Spire is surrounded in a lavender-tinged light that could likely be seen for miles around in the nighttime darkness. Kadan shields his eyes from the glare as he continues to sprint away. Rein runs with his head down, eyes firnmly on the ground before him GMRune: The party flees southward from the tower and through the town of Vane. Valina looks back and reaches... "Give me back my pendant..." Geint: Well, the red dragon's cave will be easy enough to find... GMRune: Rein suddenly gets yanked over, and nearly falls. Rein: Wah! Geint looks curiously at Rein. GMRune: You guys are near the edge of town by now. Rein spins a few times and looks off to the side. GMRune: A cloaked figure emerges from the shadows, having pulled over Rein. Rein: Something grabbed me! Kadan makes sure the group is in the clear. Liana: Oops! Didn't mean to pull you that hard... Earendil mutters, "Now what." Kadan: What did Mileria hope to accomplish by bringing us here? Tarrant sees that Geint is still a little shaken up after the encounter so he throws her a yummy treat. Rein: Oh... hello. Liana pads out into the open near you all. Earendil: All was going well, until that warlock informed Kargeth of our presence. Geint: Uhhmm.... not hungry. =b Liana: What's going on? The rebellion just got a message that something's gone wrong... Liana: Not to mention the flaming Crystal Spire over there... Valina: ... Earendil: You could say that, but its a bit of an understatement. Rein dusts himself off and tries to look dignified. Liana sighs. Liana: I was told to come out here and look for you guys. A couple of the liaisons from the higher ups can straggling in like they had been through a volcano! Valina is still a bit eadgy after her encounter with Gausuton Earendil: (to Liana) Kargeth knows of the Magus connection now. Rein: That's pretty close to what happened, come to think of it.... Valina: Looks like he carried out his orders.. Liana looks at Earendil. "Magus connection? I don't understand." Par elbows Earendil in the side. Valina: Oh, I'm sure they knew for quite a while now. Earendil: Off . . . oh, uh nothing. Valina takes out the documnents she swiped from Gausuton's place Kadan tries to calm down, but still glances in all directions constantly. Earendil gets a big sweat drop on his forehead. Geint cheers up a bit and snickers just loud enough for Earendil (who she's on the shoulder of) to hear. Kadan: Liana, you... you had those documents...? About the four tribes? Liana: Well, I gave you some stuff on the Serpent Staff and the Urdians a while back. The poem with the heads of flame and info on the three pendants. Kadan regrets not paying more attention to those earlier. Leon makes a hiccuping sound and tugs on Par's hand, trying to go back to the Crystal Spire. Rein: We've actually been sorta busy. Geint: =( poor kid...... =( Earendil looks in the boy's eyes with understanding. Geint's sad again. =( Liana: Come. I don't think it's safe to linger here. The rebellion's new hideout is in a small cave south of the town. Liana: You can rest there. Valina: Ohhh good! Liana nods, and gestures for the group to follow her. Tarrant: Good I need some R&R Par: R&R is getting harder to find these days... Valina: I remember when life was simple... Geint: Ehe.... I remember wishing it wasn't. =b Geint: Just shows how silly I was... Valina: I was just a mere farm girl, nothing more, no pendant, no quest to save the world from evil.. Earendil: Yeah, like training with father. GMRune: The party swiftly follows Liana into the night. Even though it is dark, she is surprisingly nimble, and doesn't stumble in the dark as she directs you along an almost hidden path. Valina: Training with McDocmar.. Geint: Ok. Enough. Let's just go. Valina: Yea. Rein: Liana, are many hurt back at the cave? You said that people had been straggling in? Liana: There were about five of them. All liaisons with our leader, oddly enough. For a moment I was wondering if the same fate had befallen Par. But I'm glad to see he's all right. Rein nods. Liana pauses. "Who's the kid anyway?" Geint: He's the Vane leader's kid. =( Valina looks... kid. Valina: Humph Par: Um... he's the son of a friend of mine... Valina: Hopefully not me.. Leon looks back at Valina. Earendil: Something wrong Valina? Valina: Gausuton called me "kid". Geint: =b Kadan looks at Leon. GMRune: The party finds an opening in the ground that is barely visible in the long dried grass around it. Liana gestures for you to climb on in. Kadan: Wow, Rein. A little sprout even smaller than you! Liana: It's a little steep at first, but it's a pretty good tunnel. Rein: :( Geint: Hey... He's not the SMALLEST of the group! Valina: So I'm short for my age :( GMRune: Leon looks to be the human equivalent of 4 or 5 years old. He has somewhat long silver hair and lavender eyes. Earendil mutters, "Oh boy, tunnels again." Kadan: Yeah, but it doesn't matter with girls. Valina: Thanks Geint! You always make me feel tall... Geint: =D Rein pretends to kick Kadan in the butt. Geint decides it would be nice to risk a tail- pulling and rest on Leon's shoulder. GMRune: The party walks inside of the tunnel. The earth around you is packed tightly, although you can see bits of plant roots here and there. The tunnel is cramped though, and the air heavy. Leon looks at the small creature and smiles lightly, petting Geint on the head. Leon: Little pink dragon... Geint lets out a tiny (and cute) sigh of releif, then realized what he called her! Earendil raises his eyebrows at what Leon said. Geint smiles. Kadan puts his shadow mask on Geint for a second just to give her Cootness - 20. GMRune: Liana takes you down a smaller side tunnel, and things get somewhat cramped for someone of Kadan's bulk. Liana yanks open a small wooden door at the end of the tunnel. Valina has no problem with something for once... Liana: You can rest here for the moment. Talk, whatever. I'll go yet you guys some blankets and food. GMRune: Once you all got inside, Par gives all the equipment you guys left behind for the party back to you. GMRune: The room within is pretty much a large hollowed out hole in the ground. GMRune: There really isn't much else in here. Earendil suddenly remembering something, "Geint, do you know anything about an old sage near your cave?" Kadan: Resistance's new headquarters, eh? Rein: I always wondered what it felt like to be a gopher. Par: Short notice I guess. Geint: Uhh... only a bit. Leon plops down on the floor, careful not to upset Geint. Geint: He's old and he has lots of books. Geint: Smart, too. but most old guys with lots of books are like that. Rein: Sounds like Master Mendren. Geint: Mendren? Valina: Mendren? Earendil: I guess that's our next stop, Mileria wants us to take Leon there, and we have to do at least that much for her. Rein: The man I trained with my whole life before this big mess. Valina: Really... Rein: He was quite a famous priest.. Geint: Well, I know where it is, too. It's at the Spire to the east. Sounds like a good place for a preist named Mendren. Earendil: I heard of him a couple times when my parents took me to shrines of Althena. Leon: Do I *have* to go? Earendil: What's wrong Leon? Geint: Awwwww but Leon! Don't you want to see my house? =D Rein nods. "He died about a year ago. It was after that that I went forth into the world and met you guys" Leon: I don't know if I want to go... It'll be scary... Kadan cracks his knuckles. "Not as scary as NOT going, kid." Leon: I do want to see your home, little dragon. But the old sage... Mama said he would take me somewhere. Geint: But we're really strong and won't let you get hurt! Geint: Huh? She said that? Par nods. Rein: Kadan, I don't think that's going to help :( Kadan: Rein, all kids need to be roughed up a bit. Earendil: Leon, we would take you with us, but it's too dangerous. Rein: Okay... Rein looks around for support. Valina: I think he would've just fine! I'll take care of him if he needs it! Valina: But he seems strong enough! Leon: I want to stay here. Not here as in Vane. Here... this place. Not cave... Leon tries hard to find a way to express what he wants to say. Valina listens to leon, trying to understand him... Rein: Back at home? Leon: Yes home. But not just home. Here. Lunar. Now. Geint watches Leon explain.. Par: Maybe I can help a bit. Geint: hmm..? How, Par? Par: What Mileria wants to do is, have this sage transport Leon through time, to a place where he will be out of danger. Par: She doesn't want him involved in the going ons of the Magic Empire. Valina: When is that? Rein starts. "That's possible?" Earendil: Who is he going to be with then? Par: Several thousand years from now. As she said, she has foreseen a time when he will be safe. Kadan: You guys are talking funny talk. Par: I don't know. But she believes that he will be better off there than here. Valina: Really... but that is if WE are succussful. Par: Kargeth wants Leon to be his heir. It isn't safe for him here. Ayeye examines Leon, "Why would Kargeth want Leon as his heir?" Leon glares at Par and turns back to look at Geint. Earendil: We can't just trust him through time, he'd be alone. Rein: Kargeth's heir? Well, that wouldn't be so bad, maybe... this little guy doesn't seem like a bad one. Rein: Although I guess we don't want whatever Kargeth wants :\ Geint: Yea... and we could hide him, couldn't we? ...or could we. =( Earendil thinks of his sister, "Rein, people, especially children, can be corrupted." Par: Leon's parents are two of the most powerful warlocks alive. And they are the only two elven warlocks who have had a child. Elves, as you know, tend to have an inclination towards magic... So he wanted Leon... Par: He is the first elf to be born into the warlock social class. Geint: I just feel bad about messing with time and stuff like this! What if some other baddie comes and gets him? Ayeye: No, I didn't know that, but why Leon? Wouldn't Kargeth rather continue his own family as Magic Emperor? Rein: That's true... but he seems so innocent Valina looks at Leon. Par: Well, Kargeth, for one, is unmarried, although I suppose he could remedy that if he wished. And well... I'm not entirely sure. Mileria said something about his destiny. Leon looks up at Valina, blows out a puff of air, and stares back at the ground. Geint: Well what is it already! If we knew that we could determine better! Geint looks at Leon. "Awwww..sorry for talking about you like this, but we don't want you hurt!" Rein: Well, in any case, I think we have an obligation to honor Mileria's request, so.... Leon pouts, "No one wants me hurt. That's why I'm here!" Geint: =( Earendil: Well, his mother thought that would be best for him, even though we have reservations, who are we to argue? Ayeye frowns, "Destiny is over-rated, if we all did what was destined, nothing good would ever come of it." Valina: Leon, dear. What do YOU want ? Kadan: I agree with Ayeye. Our fate is what we make of it. Nothing rules our future. Par: True. But Leon, or rather Ghaleon, as that is his full name, is likely to turn out every bit as powerful as his parents. Leon: (to Valina) To stay and fight! Ayeye: Then let's kick him out into time, that way he can do what he wants to do. ~Arzel: Is that a wise idea? Valina: I think we should do what he wants to do! Earendil: Hmm . . . I suppose we could take him with us for a while, and eventually send him on his way. Rein crosses his arms. "But we made a PROMISE." Par: Agreed. Geint: Oh poor guy...... Ayeye: I agree, we should let him do what he wants to, but not now. Liana pops back into the room with a large bundle of blankets and a basket of rolls and jam for the group of you. Valina: I'll take care of him if he needs it Liana: Sorry it took me so long, but it's a pain hauling all this over here, you know? Rein narrowly beats Geint to the food. Liana dumps all the stuff on to the floor for you. Geint rubs her head agains Leon's neck and makes a similar noise as a purr. Leon smiles and scratches Geint behind the ears. Valina: Thank you Liana! Liana: Phew! No problem! I know you guys can use it! Geint: prrrrrrrdddlllllll.... Liana: In fact, I think I could use a little myself... Rein looks back at Geint with a roll in his mouth, amazed that he's not fighting with her. Liana picks a roll and takes a bite out of it. Geint is not noticing Rein. Rein throws a roll at Geint. Valina begins to prepare the food for everyone. Geint gets konked in the head. "What was that?" Leon giggles. Geint: Huumm? Oooooo!! A roll!! Valina puts some yummy roots in her roll. Geint: =D Valina: Anybody want some yummy roots? Kadan: Thanks, I'm not hungry. Par looks at Valina's roots, but settles for the jam. ~Arzel gives Par back his warlock bracer. Geint grabs the roll. Geint eats it in one bite! O_O Leon laughs lightly, noticing the roll is about as big as Geint's head. Earendil whispers to Leon, "She may be kind and beautiful, but don't trust her yummy roots." Leon: Okay! Valina: It is better for you, plus you can use the energy ;) Valina makes a root and jelly roll for Leon. Leon is following Earendil's advice. Valina: Now eat up ;) Leon holds the root and jelly roll up to Geint's mouth. Leon: Eat up, little dragon! Geint sniffs it. Geint: Uhhhmm.... I've...uhhh... had enough.. Valina: Ok... ok. Valina takes the roots outta Leon's roll. Valina: You're missing out! Leon: But HE said I shouldn't eat the roots! Leon points at Earendil. Valina: You should try them, they are yummy! Earendil: Who me? Valina: But if you don't want them, Leon, I understand. Leon: Okay, lady. Valina looks at the party. "Hey, I grew up on a farm.. I know what plants are good!" Par: I suppose we can set out for the Red Dragon's cave and the old sage's tower tomorrow morning. We'd better not loiter here any longer than necessary. Rein: But, on a farm you usually pick veggies from ABOVE, not BELOW! Valina: Enjoy Leon, by the way, my name is Valina. Leon: Hi, Valina. Valina: Hi Leon :) GMRune: After eating, the party hits the sack. At least, as best they can on a dirt floor. Leon curls up into a small ball, hugging Geint to him. Kadan rolls around restlessly. Valina sings a lullaby to Leon. Valina: o/~ osheg veg ry ni mane voo... o/~ GMRune: In the morning, Liana has food and rations set out for you, so you can eat and still have enough leftover for your travels. Par sits up and begins waking the party. He lights a lantern so that you all can see. Valina prepares breakfast for Leon. The bush yawns, and trundles over towards breakfast. Leon regards the bush curiously. Rein eats in silence, then checks his stuff in preparation for today's journey. Valina feeds the bush Geint: Oh boy.... the bush... does that thing have a name yet? The bush gulps it all with a leafy smile and waits for more. Earendil's eyes pop open and he walks over to breakfast. Geint: I thought Emmy was cute.... Leon crawls over to the bush and grabs on to a leaf. The bush snaps at Leon, and the elf boy lets go. Geint: Uhh... what are you doing, Leon? Leon: Funny bush! Geint: Yes, very funny. And stupid! But it won't really hurt you unless you hurt it. The bush "glares" at Geint. Valina pets the bush nicely. Geint: Hey! You're cute! That makes up for it. The bush pants and turns back to Valina for some more food. Valina: Like this, Leon. Ayeye: Is that your excuse also Geint? Geint mutters to Leon, "Watch out. It slobbers." Valina gives the bush some more food. Leon tentatively pets the bush. And when it doesn't react, he feels much better. Valina: Leon, want to feed it? The bush snaps it up. Leon: Um... okay! Valina gives Leon some food to give to the bush Earendil accidentally eats one of Valina's rolls with yummy roots, and his face turns an odd shade of green. Leon chucks the food at the bush. The bush jumps up and swallows it whole! The bush burps and trundles over to Ayeye. Geint: Ayeye is it's owner. Leon nods. Ayeye: No-one owns the bush, it does what it wants to do. Geint: Ok..ok.... The bush climbs back into Ayeye's backpack. Par: Well, I suppose we'd better be off. Everyone ready? Kadan: I'm ready to go, wherever this leads me. Geint: Sure am! Leon bundles up some of the rolls into a small bag and stands up. Earendil walks out of the cave, takes care of business, and comes back in looking much better. Geint: Good thinking, Leon. Rein swings on his backpack again. "I'm getting used to being out on the road." Geint: I think it's kind of fun... Liana greets you and leads you all out of the cave. Geint: Ok, so are we going to that wizard guy's house or to my cave? Valina holds Leon's hand. Liana: I wish you all luck on your journey! And be careful! There are still warlock patrols running around after last night's activity! Ayeye: We are going to the wizard's house, we need to get Leon somewhere safe. Valina: Thanks for the warning. Par: It dosn't matter too much, Geint. They're both on the same side of the Nanza Barrier. Geint: Ok! Valina: Good. Earendil: Maybe we should teach Leon a few things before we leave him at the sage's house. Let's go to the cave first. Ayeye: No, Geint, we have to make sure that Leon is safe. Geint flies off of Leon for a second to go ahead of the group. Geint: Ayeye, my house is in the same place. GMRune: Leon is startled for a moment, but then smiles and watches Geint fly around. Geint: Either way I know how to get there. Ayeye: So we drop Leon off first, we can't take him with us everywhere. GMRune: The sky darkens as you go southward. There is only one way through the barrier that any of you have heard of. And it's not far from House Banshee's territory. Kadan looks up at the sky with dismay. GMRune: You see some figures ahead of you. They are somewhat off of the path, and they have three creatures with them that appear to be a cross between some sort of reptile and an amphibian. Geint looks back, smiles, and then keeps on ahead. Geint: (Uh oh..) GMRune: They spot you and begin to make for your position. Geint's smaile leaves. Valina takes Earendil's hand. "As soon as we are away from Gausuton's territiory." Leon shudders on Rein's back. "Uh oh..." Valina: What is it Leon, dear? GMRune: The four men and three mutant creatures arrive on the path and draw near. Geint slips onto the nearest person's shoulder trying not to looks suspicious. Leon: They bad men. Valina: Yea, they are bad.. Leon pouts. "I hate deadpoles!" Kadan takes an apprehensive stance. Rein looks to Kadan and Ear to see what we're going to do. Earendil draws his sword. GMRune: The four men are lightly armored warlocks. Three deadpoles scuffle before them on chain leashes. Geint: We go, and you aren't gonna stop us! Leon squeezes his arms around Rein.
