Kadan: I'll be gone the sessions between the 20th and 30th. GMRune: Anyone else going to miss the 27th? Kadan: I will be gone the 27th. Arzel: No, I should be here for all of the sessions. *** Geint (WOR97ISC15@piano.mecn.mass.edu) has joined channel #Lunarrpg5 *** Mode change "+o Geint" on #lunarrpg5 by Arzel Geint: Hiya!! GMRune: Okay, we're all here... Geint: *flap* *flap* ;) GMRune: And I'm more organized this time. So hopefully this session will be better. GMRune: <> --> Valina Okay, here's the story with you. :) Kadan: Last session was kewl! Earendil: asides from getting almost killed, it sure was Arzel leans back and tries to get IC Kadan hopes everyone appreciated his incredibly useful "coward retreat" skill. =D GMRune liked Kadan's retreat. :) --> Valina You're travelling near Shelladon and you've been avoiding... hold on... Arzel: ya shure Kadan Kadan leans back against the hard wall and breathes heavily, forcing his numbing pain into submission. *Valina* ok... --> Valina I had to answer the doorbell. :P Anyway, you were nearly attacked by warlocks, but a man saved you from being noticed by them. *** Arzel has set the topic on channel #lunarrpg5 to You might want to put up a good topic Rune. *Valina* ok :) --> Valina He says his name's Trevor, and he recognized the pendant you were wearing. And he said that you should go to the Urdian Temple to learn more about it. --> Valina Trevor also said that he knows of a group of people also going there that you might want to travel with. --> Valina You'll join the party a little after that conversation. So just sit tight for now. :) *** GMRune has set the topic on channel #lunarrpg5 to Shelladon Knight Headquarters - 42 S - 46 MEXP *Valina* OK GMRune: Okay, I'm done chatting with Valina. Geint, you'll have to wait a bit before I introduce you. So just sit tight for now. :) Kadan opens one eye, watching most of his companions with suspicion. GMRune: -----GAME ON----- Kadan looks relieved that Tarrant is still passed out. GMRune: The group of you are resting with Par in the old Shelladon Knight Headquarters GMRune: Rein and Arzel had been healing everyone and several of you are low on magic power. Kadan eyes Ayeye. "You got hit pretty hard. You ok?" Ayeye: Yeah, I'm fine now. GMRune: The headquarters are vacant. But it at least gives you a chance to relax. And there are still a few cabinets and closets there in good condition. Earendil: we might be able to find some leftover supplies in here, a few herbs perhaps GMRune: Earendil searchs the headquarters and finds... GMRune: 4 Herbs and 4 Starlights... Kadan shields his eyes from the glare of the starlights. Earendil: anybody here in need of some magic recharge? Kadan barges in front and grabs an herb. "I'm taking this." Ayeye: I could use a bath, those sewers were disgusting! Earendil: Fine then, I was going to distribute them anyway. Kadan looks around for any disapproval, then squeezes the cool juices over his injuries. Arzel: Umm, I'm kind of low on magic from all that healing. GMRune: 3 herbs and 4 starlights left... Ayeye looks for clean water. GMRune: Kadan heals 20 hp. Earendil hands Arzel a starlight. Kadan gives an audible grunt of relief. Arzel uses the starlight. Ayeye looks for clean water. GMRune: Kadan heals 20 hp. Earendil hands Arzel a starlight. Kadan gives an audible grunt of relief. Arzel uses the starlight. GMRune: There doesn't seem to be "clean" water around here. Semi-clean seems possible though. GMRune: Arzel gains 16 MP Kadan notices Ayeye's searching. "You... looking for something?" GMRune: 3 herbs and 3 starlights... Ayeye: Uh..yeah, some water. I'm a mess. Earendil is in need of an herb and uses one on his injuries Kadan: P'ah... you're not that bad. I've been much dirtier. Earendil: There was a well out in back if memory serves GMRune: Rein takes a starlight. GMRune: Rein gains 17 MP GMRune: 3 herbs and 2 starlights left... Kadan turns to Rein. "Careful with those things, son. You'll go blind." Ayeye rinses her face in the semi-clean water. GMRune: Rein: You don't say? I think they're fine. Kadan slowly makes his way to Ayeaye and lowers his head. GMRune: Par nods to Earendil and waits for Ayeye to finished washing. Kadan speaks in a soft tone. "You know... those Warlocks found us a little too easily back there. I'm not sure how much farther we should go with these... magic users." Arzel: Oh, I thought it was the smegs. Ayeye: Er, Kadan, he has you there. GMRune: Par: Yeah, the warlock's smegs are quite effective tracking beasts. Kadan's voice becomes a whisper. When the time comes, let's stick together, you and I. It may be the only chance we have of getting out of this alive." Ayeye whispers to Kadan, "Understood." GMRune: Par sits idly playing with his thin staff. Kadan stands tall and clears his throat. "Well, Par. What now?" GMRune: Par: Well, I was thinking we could follow Earendil's exit out of the city. GMRune: Par: No doubt the warlocks are guarding all the public exits to the town. Kadan rubs his chin, considering Par's words. "Hmm... I suppose so. However, I hate to distance myself too much from the Staff. Kargeth is probably working on securing it right now." GMRune: Par: True. But there's no way we could get it on our own. We're not strong enough as it is. Kadan nods. "I suppose you're right. What was this... Urdian Temple that was mentioned?" GMRune: Par: Yes. My commander gave you the map to it. Earendil: When I was a kid, we were told stories of it being haunted Ayeye: Didn't we go this way to leave through a secret exit? GMRune: Par: Indeed. The Urdian Temple is a very ancient place. Rumors have it that it even predates Althena! Kadan studies the scroll. "Yes... but what is to be found there? It appears to be an ordinary decrepit ruin." GMRune: Par: There's an ancient tome said to describe the exact capabilities of the staff. We of the resistance think we can use that knowledge to our advantage. Earendil: There is a tunnel that leads from underneath the headquarters to outside the wall Ayeye: Shouldn't a secret exit be unguarded? Arzel scratches his chin Kadan: Kadan: "Well then, Par. We had best get a move on. It doesn't sound like Kargeth is doing much dilly- dallying up there." GMRune: Par nods and gets ready to follow Earendil. GMRune: Rein and Tarrant also get up. GMRune: Rein: Who wants the rest of the herbs and starlights? Arzel stands. Earendil: The entrance is outside near the wall of the headquarters by the back door Earendil: I need an herb if you don't mind. GMRune: Earendil takes an herb... Arzel: I'll take a starlight for later if no one minds. Kadan scoops up the herbs and stuffs them into his pouch. "I'll hold onto them until they are needed." GMRune: Earendil heals 15 HP. GMRune: Kadan now has two herbs in his invetory. Earendil: ahh, much better Earendil: Everybody ready? GMRune: Tarrant takes the two starlights unless someone else wants them. Arzel wonders if anyone heard him. GMRune: Tarrant gives a starlight to Arzel. Kadan walks beside Earendil. GMRune: The group of you follow Earendil outside towards the secret exit. Ayeye: I'm ready, let's go! GMRune: And you leave the city without incident. *** GMRune has set the topic on channel #lunarrpg5 to Wilderness - 42 S - 46 MEXP GMRune: According to the map it will be a few hours journey to the temple. GMRune: The forests are thick and dense in this part of the continent. Earendil: Wait, I must do something first Earendil walks outside and stands silently by the grave of his father Earendil whispers, "I will find them, I promise. Kadan: <
