Ever think the peanut gallery is having more fun than the gamers are?

I don't use /msg boxes when I'm GMing because I find it easier to have all player battle actions appear in the main channel window. That way it's impossible for me to confuse actions from one round with another in the event that someone forgets to give me a new action. As I was having Trevor give out the final pieces of equipment to most of the characters, DNW (one of our most dedicated viewers for those of you who are not players and reading this) decided to comment almost MST3K-style on the new weapons and armor. For those who appreciate this type of silliness, I have everything posted below. Again, I didn't have a /msg box so all of this appeared in the main channel window, which allowed my logging to record it as it happened, more or less. DNW's comments are colored in purple to set them off from the events in the actual log (Session #88).

* Trevor looks at the party. "The Dragonmaster and the Urdian descendant among you have fell sets of arms now. But I will provide you with the rest as per Althena's orders. The first item..." He gestures and a long handled axe appears in his hands. "... is the Star Halberd, taken from the very night sky itself to serve as the weapon for the Shadowcat."
* Trevor offers it to Kadan.
* Kadan gratefuly accepts the Halberd, but drops it due to his hit%

* Trevor walks over to Rein next. "For you, young priest, Althena has left you the Goddes Circlet. If you wear it you will be protected by her healing light, and it will close the wounds you receive in battle."
* Trevor offers Rein a golden circlet.
* Rein takes it reverently.
<GMRune> Unfortunately, Rein has a size 8 head, and the circlet is size 12. Ergo, the Goddess Circlet is now the Goddess Necklace.

* Trevor next approaches Geint. He relaxes. "Hey, Magintna. I know you didn't feel too good about loosing your human form, but don't you worry. I'll let you keep it after all this is said and done. For you I have a Flame Aura. Think of it as an enchantment. And, it will allow you to take your full dragon form just *twice* until you're full grown, okay? You'll need it when we get ready to attack Kargeth."
* Geint transforms into a Dragon and glomps onto Arzel, 'cause he looks like a stuffie now.
<Geint> He's so cyooot! :D

* Trevor approaches Tarrant as a brown robes laced with green appears in his hands. "This is for you, ecomancer. This is the Druid's Robe, and I believe it will server one such as yoou quite well."
* Tarrant takes hold of the robe and feels the soft fibers as energy runs throughout his body.
* Tarrant puts the cloak on: "Cool? What's it made of?"
<Trevor> Actual stones from Stonehenge! :D
<Tarrant> Wha? o_O *Crash!*

* Trevor nods gravely and heads over to Arzel. "And for you, young phoenix mage, I have these two Mythril Claws, forged from enchanted silver. I believe you are lacking a weapon, and since mages do often need them you may find them useful."
<Trevor> And, with a push of this button, they will automatically raise and lower your hood. :D
<Trevor> No more wasting combat rounds because you need time to grab that hood of yours ^_^

* Trevor finally comes up to Valina.
<Trevor> To you, Pendant Bearer, Althena has left you with two gifts. She cannot replace your lost family, but she can help you survive long enough to discover a new one. These arms are the Gale Guard and the Song Tiara. They will protect you well."
* Valina sqeaks with joy and winds up the Song Tiara, and it plays a corny and tinny tune, as she uses the Gale Guard to dig for yummy roots.

And more...

<GMRune> Now, outside the tower, you hear a draconic roar that shakes small tremors through the marble tower itself. Through the window you can make out two winged shapes heading towards you.
<GMRune> The party notices that the dragons are held up by strings for some reason, and have a label that says "Toho" on their legs.

* Earendil stomps over to Althena. "Hey! You said this sword would give me power over the timestream!"
<Althena> But... it does.
* Earendil pushes a button on the Sword.
<Voice> The time is... 3... 14... and 12 seconds... at the beep... *beep*
<Earendil> This is NOT what I had in mind!
* Kadan fumbles for the halberd some more.
<Kargeth> You know, I could have had a cameo in Babylon 5, but NOOOOOO! I had to get THIS gig! Sheesh!

* Earendil attempts to raise his voice above the crowd, "Excuse me, who is in charge here?"
<GMRune> Some of the people point towards the Silver Spire at the edge of town.
<Person> The Lady is. She's returned.
<Earendil> The lady! She has all the answers! Let's hurry!
* The party runs and throws open the doors to the Tower.
<All> The lady!
<The Bush> *pant* *pant*
<Ayeye> Ak! I knew it! o_O
<Kadan> Makes sense in a sick kind of way.
