"Good Guys"

Par

After a riot started in the front of the main castle in Shelladon, Par offered his help to the party in getting them to safety and away from the pursuing warlocks. He's a member, although seemingly a low ranking one, of the new resistance against the Magic Empire.

Par is a young elf, just past the threshold of adulthood. He's rather tall for his kind, standing about 5' 9" and has medium-length dark brown hair and green eyes. Par dresses in a loose beige shirt with billowing sleeves and tight cuffs, brown pants, and a tan vest. Par has demonstrated a mild proficiency in using ice magic.

Update as of Session #6: Par is also known to use fire magic now. An overheard conversation with Liana revealed that he may actually have a lot more power in the resistance than originally suggested.

Update as of Session #12: Par has revealed himself to be a warlock of House Magus. Like many of Magus's members, he doesn't believe in the same tenets as the rest of the Empire. He was not born into the social class however. Years ago, Lady Mileria found him as an orphan in the city of Lentol and took him in. When it was discovered that he had a talent for magic, Par was admitted into the house. Par took part in the destruction of the old rebellion three years ago, but says he regrets having done so.

Update as of Session #17: When Kadan's latent shadowcat abilities called up the images of his sister's demise, it was revealed that Par was also present at that event.

Update as of Session #26: Par has left the party as a willing hostage of Lord Jael so that the party can continue on their quest to get Leon to safety and reach the Red Dragon's Cave relatively unhindered.

Update as of Session #31: The party has rejoined Par within the home of House Nissa, but the young elf is very sick and doesn't seem to recognize them.

Update as of Session #81: Par has left the party to embark on a mission with Dayus to rescue Lady Mileria and Lord Elron.

Update as of Session #88: The party met Par again in Vane. He and Dayus failed to save Elron, but returned with the Lady Mileria.

"The Bush"

This freaky little bush met up with the party not long after they escaped the Urdian Temple. While the group was taking a breather on their way to Vane, Earendil decided to try picking a pear from a tree. Lo and behold a little ambush fell out of it, giving him the impression of being distinctly annoyed. The bush proved to be relatively harmless, its main problem being its great appetite (it loves to eat all organic materials and tried chewing up Par's backpack) and the fact that its "mouth" has a tongue that lets it slurp sap all over the place.

Ayeye has taken a liking to the bush and carries it around with her as a pet, much to the chagrin of some of the the other party members. Geint especially isn't fond of having herself being upstaged by a bush.

Canth

Canth is the elderly blue dragon who is currently the oldest of the Dragon Tribe. He rarely leaves his cave anymore due to lethargy.

Shea/Shade/Pria

Shea is the mysterious cloaked figure that attacked Emperor Kargeth (failing miserably), and thus sparked the uproar near the castle that caused the player characters to join up with Par and the resistance. She is the result of a House Flysse experiment merging the soul of Pria, Rein's younger sister, with that of the black dragon Shade's aura. Shea has Pria's human body, dark red hair, and looks much like Pria did save that Shea's face appears to belong to an older version of her and that she has black-furred wings. She is also taller than Rein now.

A curious effect of Shea's magical merging made Shade and Pria one body and one soul. There are no two minds warring for control, nor can they be separated back into their component souls. Shade and Pria as they were individually known no longer exist. Thus Shea's thought patterns are a mixture of the two, as are some of her innate abilities. She has the memories of both her predessors, but is more embarrassed by them than accepting of her previous lives.

Update as of Session #64: Shea was the second Pendant Bearer, the one meant to have the Pendant of Chaos, representative of the Present. However she cannot assume her duties as Pendant Bearer if the party is to have the power of the black dragon behind them.

Update as of Interlude #10: Shea has passed on her power as Pendant Bearer to Rein, citing that the blood of Althena is the criterion for being one. Since they are related through blood and as a dragon she has Althena's power, it is possible for him to receive a blood transfusion from her and thus gain the requirement to become a Pendant Bearer.

Quark/Trevor

Quark is the white dragon of Lunar, whom Geint has a small case of hero worship for. She likes talking about him and it is known that he resides in a frozen cave on Caldor Isle.

Using a magic ring, Quark is able to disguise himself as Trevor, a mysterious white-haired young man that Kadan, Arzel, and Tarrant first met in the tavern in the town of Mertyl. He then continued to help the party out of occasional and very deadly situations. During this time his motivations for helping them were very unclear. Quark's natural personality is quite rambuncious, and a stark contrast to the seriousness he portrays as Trevor.

Quark is known to have a relationship with Shade. It is unknown what the effect of Shea's existence has on him.

Update as of Session #87: When Geint relinquished the ring Quark gave her, she used it to summon him and he appeared in the human form he calls Trevor. It was then that he revealed his true identity to the party.

Liana

Liana is part of the branch of the resistance stationed in Vane. She's nearly always good-humored and has somewhat of a crush on Par. Liana is somewhat young, lying between the realms of being an adolescent and an actual adult. She has long flame-colored hair and is one of the Vane resistance's best magic pupils.

Update as of Session #41: Liana attacked the party, allying herself with the warlocks. The party captured her and left her tied to a rock south of the Nanza Barrier, uncertain of what else to do with her. Par suggested that she may be mind controlled like Elanor.

Update as of Session #80: The party met Liana again in the company of Camille and Elanor. Once Camille was defeated the mind-control that possessed her broke and Liana was free.

Elanor

Elanor is Earendil's younger sister. Captured by the warlocks during the invasion of Shelladon she was brainwashed into fighting for them. The Empire's Elanor is stern, vicious, and completely dedicated to their cause. However, the brainwashing has its flaws and Elanor is unable to kill her brother in cold blood.

Elanor has long blond hair and stern blue eyes. She has been trained by the Empire as an archer, however she is equally accomplished with magic, using both star and thunder magic like her brother.

Update as of Session #12: Elanor has officially joined House Banshee.

Update as of Session #47: Elanor lives (or lived until he chased her out) in Earendil's old house back in Shelladon. When he tried bodily throwing her out while unarmed she refused to attack him and teleported away rather than confront him.

Update as of Sessions #80: When Camille, Liana, and Elanor were defeated in the Phoenix Lair, the Empire's hold over Elanor broke. Though very weak and confused, she was happy to see Earendil again through her own eyes.

Lady Mileria

Mileria is a silver-haired elven woman. If she was human, one would guess her age to be in her early thirties. The party first saw she as a silver-cloaked thunder-wielding figure out on the plains southwest of Ratling Keep.

While back raiding Gausuton's manor, the party found documents pertaining to the scheduled assassination of Lady Mileria of House Magus. Thanks to that information which Par relayed to her, and later the party's intervention in the battle on the plains, Mileria's life has been temperarily spared. Lady Mileria is a high ranking matron of House Magus and is the leader of the rebellion. She has the full support of House Magus backing her in her efforts.

Update as of Session #21: Since the awkward discovery of House Magus's allegience to the party, and thus the rebellion, Mileria charged Par and the party to take Leon to safety; to an old sage south of the Nanza Barrier. She has foreseen a time when Leon will be able to escape his destiny, which is as of yet, unknown to the party. Mileria is currently missing in action, last seen and heard unleashing the power of a Dragon Cannon against the warlock Gausuton.

Update as of Session #33: Mileria is being held in a sort of stasis in a glowing cylinder of green light. Before Ayeye shattered the control control, her presence was somehow powering the magic barrier around Killith.

Update as of Session #88: Lady Mileria has returned to Vane with Par and Dayus and she has begun to magically fortify the town for its rise into the sky.

Leon/Ghaleon

Leon is a young elven boy and the son of Lady Mileria and Lord Elron. He is very quiet, having said a single word, but has been quietly observing the party members since they first met his mother. Leon, like Mileria, also has silver hair, as well as an unusual set of lavender eyes.

Update as of Session #21: Leon's first name is Ghaleon (as if people couldn't already tell!), "Leon" simply being a nickname everyone uses for him. Valina and Geint have both taken a liking to him, although the party is divided as to how long he'll be allowed to hang around. According to Par, Kargeth wants to have Leon as his heir, and that is why Mileria sent him away.

Update as of Session #23: Shea believes Leon is the child of a prophecy that says a silver-haired and lavender-eyed boy would be the one to revive the Magic Empire after it is finally destroyed.

Update as of Session #27: A magic accident during an attempt to send Leon through time resulted him aging him into a young teenage boy about Rein's age. Now that it's possible for him, he wants to fight alongside the party.

Update as of Session #38: Leon has finally been sent to the future. Now that he's there he will finally be able to escape the prophecy of his becoming the next Magic Emperor and reviving the Empire. Or will he?

Lord Elron

Elron is roughly the same age as Lady Mileria, and like his wife, is also elven. He is somewhat on the tall side for an elf and has light brown hair. Elron disdains wearing robes like the common warlock, and instead commonly dresses in a long-sleeved blue tunic with gray pants

Update as of Session #21: Like his wife, Mileria, Elron is currently missing, having stayed behind in the Crystal Spire to delay the warlocks and buy time for the party.

Update as of Session #33: Elron shares the companion cylinder to the one Mileria is in. Both are located on the 12th floor of the Citadel in Killith.

Update as of Session #88: Mileria reports that Elron did not survive his removal from the magical apparatus in Killith.

Lord Bask

Lord Bask is the true head of House Magus. Like most heads of noble households, he resides in Killith most of the year. He has recently returned to Magus's base in the Crystal Spire of Vane to oversee the ball held in Kargeth's honor.

Bask is an orange-haired man in his mid-fifties with tanned skin. He is for the most part, one's "traditional" warlock, wearing black glyph-covered robes, and fighting solely via his magic rather than with physical weapons. Lady Mileria only revived the rebellion with his consent.

Update as of Session #21: Considering he was last seen holding off Emperor Kargeth, it's quite likely that Lord Bask is dead, although one can never be certain.

Update as of Session #81: Dayus informs the party that Lord Bask has been executed.

Lady Jera

Lord Elron had begun looking for support for Magus's rebellion, and found Lady Jera to be sympathetic to the commoners' cause. Not much is known about her at this time, barring that she was at the ball and that she is of House Flysse.

Update as of Session #39: The party met Jera for the first time while captured in House Flysse. She offered to help in free them as soon as the chance arose.

Update as of Session #81: Dayus informs the party that Lady Jera has been executed, just as Damon hinted she would.

Lord Dayus

Like Lady Jera, Elron recruited Dayus to support the rebellion. Dayus is a warlock in his late twenties of House Protectoriate and also was present at the fateful party that ended Magus's existence. Dayus has long lavender hair and silver eyes. His father is Lord Kahill, head of Protectoriate.

Update as of Session #49: The party met with Dayus for the first time near the wharf where he supervises the portmaster. Though outwardly loyal to Protectoriate, once he discovered the party's connection with Mileria he agreed to arrange transportation to Caldor Isle for them... for the price of some information.

Update as of Session #80: Departed with Par to rescue Lady Mileria and Lord Elron from Killith.

Lord Jael

Jael is a younger warlock, in his mid-twenties with long reddish-brown hair. Although not as magically-inclined as most warlocks, he is part of a special unit of guards that double as hunters and trackers in the badlands around House Flysse. His weapon of choice is a long chain, no different from those used for less combative purposes.

Claiming to not be as heavy-handed as other warlocks, Jael possesses a strict sense of honor. When the Empire betrayed the trust the party placed in him, he was quick to help them rescue Par. To Jael, it was a matter of honor. The party fulfilled their part of the bargain, and so should he by seeing Par safely away from Killith.

However, Jael's honor also held him to his oath of loyalty to the Empire. Born and raised as a warrior of Flysse, Jael had known no other life beyond the warlock military. Though he believed the Empire was wrong, he felt that true change could only come about from within. When Kargeth ordered Jael to assume command of the House Flysse forces, Jael had no recourse but to accept. Jael was killed in combat (see Session #41: Lost to Reverie) against the party when he tried to prevent them from entering the Nanza Barrier.

Seera

Seera is a young dryad (as if dryads ever look old!) the party met en route to the city of Lentol. She was being pursued by a young warlock and his frog-like minions when the party intervened. However she proved to be distrustful of humans and vanished quickly after her rescue.

Update as of Session #43: Seera has been captured by Yegaar, who needs her tears to complete a powerful transformation. Seera is Lira's sister.

Update as of Session #67: The party freed Seera and her sister from Yegaar's power when they defeated him and retrieved the stolen star magic and Pegasus Feather. She then directed them to T'lain if they wanted to cross the desert to the Phoenix's Lair.

Lira

Lira is a dryad the party encountered within House Flysse. Quite pleased to find some hope of escape from her unwilling service to the Empire, she helped the party find their way out in exchange for her freedom. Once outside of the manor and the nearby corral, Lira departed for the north to return to her home.

Updates as of Session #43: Lira has shown up again to travel with the party through Yegaar's tower. She claims to not be much of a fighter, but is deeply concerned for her sister Seera's welfare.

Update as of Session #67: The party freed Lira and her sister from Yegaar's power when they defeated him and retrieved the stolen star magic and Pegasus Feather. She then directed them to T'lain if they wanted to cross the desert to the Phoenix's Lair.

T'lain

T'lain is a man of indeterminable age who is the current resident of what will be known as Damon's Spire. He has dark brown hair which is streaked with silver. Famous for his knowledge of trivia and other hard to find bits of information, T'lain lives in the spire alone, save for a giant saber-toothed cat which he plans to send to the future along with Ghaleon.

Update as of Session #38: T'lain is lying in a death-like state not entirely unlike a coma (except he's not breathing) as a result of a battle with Lord Bane. T'lain left a message for the party hinting at a mirror of Bane's. Upon its destruction the trapped souls within would be cast free.

Update as of Session #71: T'lain has been freed from the mirror Bane trapped him within, and the party begins their quest to return him to his Spire so that he may build them an airship with which to cross the desert to the Phoenix's Lair.

Ellis

Ellis is a young priest of Althena in his early twenties. He has blond hair and is ready to wield a mace in defense of his faith. The party met Ellis when Valina had fallen into a mysterious coma. They wanted his help in bringing her back to consciousness.

Jarrek

Jarrek is Ayeye's older brother. Like her he has bright red hair and he is only partially human. The remainder of his lineage is Urdian. Though initially interested in helping out the party, he later declined, stating that their power has surpassed his. This may be more of a statement of modesty rather than words grounded in fact.
