While gathering ideas to write my own daughter's lifebook, I discovered that there had to be a better and more organized "system" to make lifebooks. Through discussion with other parents, friends and professionals, I developed an online course and guide, for teaching other adoptive parents to make lifebooks. ---Kay Graap (Author)

Read comments about the guide on the homepage. The guide can be used with or without the support of the Chinalifebooks Yahoo group. Similar to the group, the guide takes parents from topic to topic, so that important information, needed for a child's healthy development, is sure to be included.

This "workbook" is made for parents writing lifebooks. Adoptive parents waiting for a referral, have also found it very valuable. It helps to educate and prepare parents to ask important life questions, when they travel to adopt their child.

The guide is presented in an easy-to-understand language, so that parents that have never written before will be able to make a complete book of their children's life stories. The goal of the book is to help adoptive parents choose wording that they are comfortable using with their children, and at the same time create a book that is fun and interesting to read. A quality lifebook is someplace that the entire family will want to read time and time again. Children will treasure the information their entire lives!
