13th Annual Wooden Boat Festival This years Wooden Boat Festival was another great success. Some of San Diego's most beautiful wooden boats were on display. Both the Sea Scouts and the fine people at Koehler Kraft did a wonderful job. If you have any suggestions about something you would have liked to have seen this year, if you have a boat you wish to display, or you want to help us in the preparation and planning of next years event please let us know, we would greatly appreciate it. We are also trying to get a mailing list together to inform people about the Boat Festival. If you would like to be on the list, please e-mail us at kathysweet@earthlink.net
Eevents: Boat auctions there will be more than one wooden boat auctioned-off throughout the event. Good food A Scout-run food booth will be serving breakfast and lunch both days as well as a special barbeque dinner after the awards ceremony. Boat building Parents and kids will have the opportunity to build and then launch their own boat Modern and traditional boat restoration techniques
Location .. Koehler Kraft Boatyard Time ........ June 14th and 15th Saturday 9am to 6pm, Sunday 9am to 5pm Price ....... Adults $5 Kids 10 and under $3 Children 3 and under get in free.
All proceeds for this event will go to Sea Scout Ship 294.
