The ROSE will govern policy decisions about San Francisco's open space for many years to come.  This is your opportunity to review this important policy document and submit your suggestions.

Note:

The ROSE seems to be up in the air at this time.  There will be hearings at the Planning Commission eventually  - read the ROSE online and send your comments to the Planning Commission.  Ask for a continuance in approval, revisions to the ROSE, and a new public comment period.

Be sure to read the ROSE and weigh in with your comments.

READ THE ROSE!

The current open space elements can be found at:   Google "San Francisco General Plan"  and scroll down to Open Space Element

The draft of the new ROSE can be found at:                                                http://openspace.sfplanning.org/

Contact the Planning Department with your comments - be specific and constructive.  If you don't agree with a policy, it helps the planners if you propose an alternative.  If you like a policy, say so!   Contact:  Sue Exline,   Susan.Exline@sfgov.org   415-558-6332

The Planning Department is interested in your input about the ROSE.  Please see the attached letter for GGPPA's past comments.  We are working with other community groups for a new set of comments on the most recent draft of the ROSE.
