Davikas STUD SERVICE CONTRACT

Thank you for expressing an interest in using ** in your breeding program. Enclosed you will find a copy of his pedigree and our policies concerning stud services to outside bitches. Before a commitment for breeding is made please consider the following: Prior to a breeding agreement, we require from you:

1. A photocopy of your bitch's AKC / CKC registration.

2. A legible pedigree.

3. A photocopy of your bitch's OFA hip and elbow certification. (Or whatever tests are appropriate)

Following an agreement to breed, it is required that you:

1. Provide a veterinary certificate of a negative Brucella titer, dated no more than 30 days before the mating. We will need a photocopy of all lab reports.

2. Pay all transportation costs for the bitch. Airport pick-up and delivery fees to Manchester Airport are as follows:        $75.00
(To be paid before the bitch is shipped or if chilled extended semen needs to be sent via the airline.)

3. Pay all veterinary costs, at the time of service, while the bitch is in our care. This would include vaginal smears, artificial insemination if the bitch is unreceptive to breeding or we are unhappy with the culture report etc.)

4. Pay all expenses if using fresh chilled semen including collection kits, extender, semen collection, shipping charges, etc.

5. Agree that puppies resulting from this breeding shall not knowingly be sold either directly, or to an agent thereof, who sells outright or consigns to a pet shop, kennel, or individual whose purpose is mass production, wholesaling, or retailing of purebred dogs.  Sold pet puppies should be given a limited registration.

Prior to an agreement to breed, our responsibilities to you are as follows:

1. To provide a photocopy of our stud's OFA certification and Eye Examination and Optigen PRA status.

3. A four generation pedigree.

All proposed bitches must meet the following criteria:

1. The bitch must be in good physical condition.

2. The bitch must have a stable temperament.

STUD SERVICE POLICY

Upon agreement to breed we offer two stud service options.  Once you select an option at the time of the first breeding that option cannot be changed.

Option 1:

1. The stud fee is $800.00. This is payable upon the bitches arrival for breeding.

2. Two or more live puppies, two days old, constitute a litter.  

3. If a breeding does not occur, either naturally or artificially, the owner of the stud dog will repeat stud service at the bitch’s next heat. If for some unforeseen reason this stud dog is not available another stud dog owned by us will be used.  You could us a different bitch if you own one that is in season earlier or if complications arise and the original bitch is no longer available.  She would have to be approved with proper certifications.  Only one breeding to a different bitch would be offered.

4. If the bitch does not whelp two or more live puppies following a second breeding, (or first breeding for a substitute bitch), no monies will be returned and there is no commitment on the stud dog owner’s part to provide any more service.

5.  If puppies are produced we will be invited to view the litter at about 7 weeks old so that we can see first hand what our stud is capable of producing.

Option 2: (not an option for JoJo since we co-own him)

1. A stud service fee of $250 (not inclusive of any shipping charges, vet charges etc) will be charged and is due at the breeding.  If the bitch does not produce any puppies there is no obligation on your part to return for service.  If you do decide to return for service an additional stud service fee of $200 will be charged.

2.  The entire litter needs to be registered with AKC.  Prior to any AKC paperwork being signed for the litter the amount of $125 additional dollars for every puppy more than two will need to be paid.  For example, if there are 5 puppies in the litter you will owe an additional $375, if there are 8 puppies in the litter you will owe and additional $750, and so on.  The AKC litter paperwork will either be forwarded complete with a check for AKC fees and sent on to AKC by me or handled over the online registration process.

3.  If puppies are produced we will be invited to view the litter at about 7 weeks old so that we can see first hand what our stud is capable of producing.
