Jen was so excited when she walked up the cute little cobblestone pathway to the
door of the beach house. She had a big smile on her face because she was about to finally meet Jeremy! They’d talked
for a few weeks and he was so much nicer than Chris. He really understood her and Jeremy was always there whenever she needed
to talk. -Ding Dong- Jenny waited by the door. She had on a pair of cute jean shorts and a pink halter
wearing a bathing suit underneath. Her sunglasses hid her eyes and her hair was down wavy below her shoulders. An old man opened the door Jen: Oh, hi, um, I must have the wrong house, sorry. Man: Are you sure? Jen: Yeah, I’m looking for Jeremy Wither? Man: Yes. Jen: Yes? Man (weird smile): I am Jeremy, why don’t you come in, have a drink? Jen felt her fast food breakfast make its way back up. Jen: Sick bastard! She ran so fast back to her car and sped down the street. No, she’d never talked
to him on the phone, but she saw pictures of a hot 18 year old guy on the beach. What
the hell?! She stopped at the first restaurant she saw to go in and get a drink. She’d
lost her appetite but Jen was dying of thirst for some reason. It was a cute little beachy place. Jen sat down at a table and for the first time
in her life, didn’t even notice the cute guy sitting at the table next to her staring. Jen was so distressed about being
so stupid as to do something like that. He was definitely going on her block list. Guy: Um, excuse me? Jen: what! She snapped, not realizing what she said, and then she noticed how cute he was and
got a lighter tone. Jen: Oh, I’m sorry! I’m just a little weirded out right now. I’m
jenny. Guy: Max. He held out his hand. Max: nice to meet ya, you from around here? Jen: No, I live in Max: Freshman at a small college around here. What brings you to this immensely small
place? It’s kind of random don’t cha think? Jen: Eh, long story. Let’s just say I came to see a friend, but didn’t
get what I expected. Max (confused face): ookay. Wanna join me? I’m eatin alone and I sure would
like company Jen: Haha, sure. Jen and Max talked for three hours in that little restaurant and she really started
to like him. Jen: So...do you have a girlfriend? Max: Actually…yes. But she’s so annoying. I’m lucky I got away
from her for this long and she hasn’t sent out a search team for me. I can’t do anything by myself. Jen: so why are you still with her? Max: Because when I came here from Jen: I doubt that! Who cares anyways? By now you have to have friends on your own
besides her, right? Max: My friends are her friends, its really weird how it works. I don’t know
what to do. Enough about that, what about you? Any boyfriend? Jen: Mmhmm. Chris. But I just don’t get him sometimes, its like he’s
distracted. I love him I really do, but gosh he makes me so mad! I guess we’re just drifting… Max: Did you talk to him about it? Jen: huh? Max: well did you tell him all this? A guy like that probably doesn’t even
realize what he’s doing. Jen: I guess so… Max and Jen got up and Max took the bill. Jen: Aw thanks, you are such a sweetie. She hugged him real quick and gave him a
sweet kiss on the cheek. Max smiled and asked her for her email/screen name and phone number. Jen: You totally made my day, I’m beyond happy I met you. Max: Jen you’re an awesome person. Maybe I’ll see ya again sometime. Jen: most def! But now I have a looong drive back home, talk to ya later! She hugged him one more time and drove off a happy person. About 4 hours into the drive freak-a-leek started playing, it was her cell. Chris’s
name popped up and she jus turned up her radio and pretended not to notice. She had a new beginning to look forward to, and
Chris wasn’t invited. |
