On Friday Greg picked Kerry up to go to the movies. Chris and Jen were going too. When the two couples arrived at the movies, they saw Jesse and Kate finding seats together. They all decided to sit together. Jesse had his arm around Kate, Chris’s around Jen, and Greg’s around Kerry. They all kissed a little but the movie was so good most of them watched it. After the movie Jesse and Kate went to Kate’s house. Jen headed home with Chris. Greg invited Kerry to his house. 

Kate’s family was out so her and Jesse and her went into the movie room. They put on a movie but didn’t watch it. Kate was laying with Jesse behind her with his arm over her. She never wanted to get up.

Jen and Chris walked in and Chris didn’t hear anyone home. He went over to the counter in the kitchen and saw a note saying his family went out to a movie and would be home around 11. Chris turned to face Jen.

Chris: Guess it’s just you and me…

Jen: I guess so…

They went over to the couch and turned on a movie. Jen sat leaning against the arm of the couch with her legs across Chris’s lap.

Mrs. Trousdale: Chris, we’re home!

She turned into the family to see Chris and Jen making out on the couch. The two jumped when she walked in. Chris introduced Jen. Mrs. Trousdale could tell she was embarrassed about being caught kissing her son.

Mrs. Trousdale: Don’t worry about me catching you two, Jen. I’ve seen enough of it in my life.

Jen laughed a little, and Mrs. Trousdale knew she liked her.

At Greg’s house Amanda was the only one home. Greg introduced Kerry and Amanda. Amanda went upstairs leaving Greg and Kerry alone in the family room. They had just started kissing when the door bell rang. Amanda ran downstairs to answer the door. Casey walked in giving Amanda a quick hug.

Casey: Where’s Greg?

Amanda: Umm, he’s not home.

Casey: What are you talking about his car is in the driveway. You probably just didn’t hear him come in.

Amanda: I guess so. I wonder if he hears you coming in….

The two girls walked into the family room. Thunder started to rumble outside. Casey took one look at the couch and screamed. She saw Greg kissing Kerry. The two jumped to look at Casey. It began raining.

Greg: Great, it rains and I have a girl yelling at me. It’s just perfect.

Casey: Who is this?

Greg: This is Kerry. Kerry this is Casey.

Kerry: Hi…

Greg: What are you doing here?

Casey: Well, I’m back. Things didn’t work out and I found out I love you.

Greg looked surprised. Amanda rolled her eyes. She never liked Amanda. Amanda liked Kerry. Amanda took a look at Kerry’s face and saw Kerry was upset. Kerry felt like Greg would go for Casey since he liked her so much. Greg was still shocked. Casey walked around the couch and put her arms around his neck. Amanda really didn’t want to see this, but she walked over and stood by Kerry’s side. Casey looked directly into Greg’s eyes and smiled at him. She kissed him softly on the lips. A tear rolled down Kerry’s cheek. Amanda looked at her. Casey leaned back in and began to make out with him. Kerry couldn’t take it and ran outside. Amanda tried to follow but stopped at the doorway when she saw Kerry in the middle of the road with the rain pouring down on her and thunder rumbling in the distance. Greg was surprised by the kiss Casey had just given him. He began to like it then realized what he was doing. He was kissing his ex-girlfriend with Kerry right next to him. He pushed Casey off of him.

Greg: Casey I told you it was over.

Casey: So what? I kissed another guy. You’re kissing another girl.

Greg: I kissed Kerry after we broke up. You kissed the guy while we were together.

Casey: Greg, I’m sorry. The other guy didn’t work out. I love you. What’s the problem?

Greg: The problem is I don’t love you.

Greg didn’t look at Casey’s shocked face. Instead he ran out the door to catch Kerry. She was standing looking at the pond that was in front of Greg’s house. Her hair was dripping wet and her clothes all wet. Greg ran up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist. He felt her body shake as she sniffed. She turned around scared and looked directly at Greg’s face. Tears were rolling down her face mixing with rain. Greg pulled her into a hug. Kerry pushed him off, and walked down the sidewalk with her back to Greg. 

Greg: Kerry I’m sorry. I didn’t know she’d come back.

Kerry: It’s fine Greg. Now that she’s back you two can pick up where you left off. I’ll just call Crystal since she lives around here, and I’ll be out of your way.

Greg: I pushed Casey away. I don’t love her. I never will. I want to be with you not her.

Kerry turned around to see his face was dripping from the rain. He walked over to her and put his hands around her face and kissed her lightly. He released her face and put his hands around her waist. Kerry put her arms around his wet neck and they kissed. Amanda watched from the doorstep. Casey stood next to her saying that should be her. Amanda told her to shut up and go home. Casey looked down at her and got in her car and drove away leaving Greg and Kerry kissing in the rain. The phone rang and Amanda answered to hear her friend on the other line. She told her about Greg and Kerry and how they’re kissing in the rain. Amanda and her friend were so envious.

Kerry and Greg looked into each other’s eyes after 5 minutes had passed. Greg smiled at her.

Greg: Kerry, will you please be my girlfriend?

Kerry: Of course.

Greg leaned back in. Soaking wet they kissed for 10 more minutes before going inside. Greg went and changed and Kerry borrowed soffees and a t-shirt from Amanda while Amanda threw her clothes in the dryer. After half an hour Kerry got back in her clothes and Greg drove her home. They sat outside Kerry’s house.

Kerry: Thanks for everything. Kissing me in the rain was something I’ve always wanted to do.

Greg: I really liked kissing you.

Greg kissed her lips softly and Kerry walked inside. She changed and told her mom her clothes got dampened by the rain and she was going to throw them in the dryer. Kerry went upstairs and signed online. Her phone in her bedroom started ringing. She had her own line. On the caller ID it said Raposo, and Kerry picked up.
