The next day Greg waited for Kerry to show up. When she did he walked over. He gave her a hug and asked where she wanted to go. She had no clue so they went to the music store. They were looking at cds when Kerry spotted one of Dreamstreets. She started laughing and showed it to Greg. When Kerry turned around she saw a huge Dreamstreet poster. Around it was a group of girls. One of them turned around and spotted Greg. She walked over and began flirting. Kerry rolled her eyes and walked to the arcade. Greg started signing autographs. When he finally finished he turned around to find Kerry wasn’t there.  He went looking for her while girls ran up to hug him. He finally spotted her watching some people play air hockey. She walked over to her and said he was looking for her. She apologized and said the arcade seemed more interesting than the screaming fans. They walked around and shopped until around 7. They walked out to their cars.

Greg: Today was fun. Sorry about the fans…

Kerry: Haha! No problem…I guess that’s the price you pay when you hang out with a star.

Greg: Well let’s hang out again. I mean if you want to.

Kerry: Ya sounds fun. Well call me later cuz I should get going.

Kerry got in her car and drove off. Greg called Jesse saying that maybe he hadn’t lost every chance with Kerry. Jesse just shook his head saying he knew Greg would figure it out.

A month had gone by and the group was tighter than ever. Jesse and his friends had found out that they would be going to the same school with the rest of the girls. Jen and Chris were going out a lot. Crystal, Morgan, Matt, and Frankie always seemed to do things together. Kerry and Greg had been hanging out as friends for a month and still hadn’t taken things to the next level.

Jen was getting ready for her date with Chris when Crystal called. Jen answered to hear Crystal’s voice screaming over loud music.

Jen: Where the heck are you?

Crystal: I’m at Spotlight. We wanted to know if you and Chris wanted to join us?

Jen: We?

Crystal: Me and Matt.

Jen: Where’s Frankie and Morgan?

Crystal: I don’t know. But will you come hang with us?

Jen: Let me call Chris. Cya later!

Jen hung up and dialed Chris’s number. Chris picked up and said it sounded fun and that he would pick her up in 15 minutes. On the way to pick up Jen Chris called up Jesse to see if he and Kate wanted to come. He said yah and hung up to call Kate. When the three couples met up they all began dancing right away. Crystal went to take a break and called Morgan. Morgan said she couldn’t come because her and Frankie were still eating. She said she’d call when they finished and see if they were all still at the club. Crystal dialed Kerry’s number and invited her out. Kerry drove over and met up with everyone. She went to the center of the dance floor and started bootying with a guy named Craig. Jesse didn’t quite understand how Kerry could be doing this with Greg being her… then he remembered, her and Greg weren’t anything yet. Jesse decided to call up Greg and tell him to come down and hang out. When he arrived Jesse pulled him aside and said Kerry was there. Greg said cool, and Jesse was even more confused.

Jesse: Am I missing something between you and Kerry?

Greg: We decided to just hang out as friends that’s all.

Jesse: But you like her a lot.

Greg: Yah, but that’s the only way to hang out with her.

After Kerry finished dancing with Craig to 2 more songs, Greg came over and started to dance with her. Kerry was somewhat surprised to see him there, but was happy to be dancing with him. Crystal’s phone began to ring and it was Morgan. Morgan said her and Frankie were heading over. Kerry and Greg were almost inseparable the whole night. Kate and Jesse were definitely inseparable. Jen had been grinding with Chris for the past 3 songs and was tired. She went to sit at a booth with him. Chris laid his arm around her and Jen looked up into his eyes. He leaned down and began to kiss her. Jen put her hand around his neck and through his hair.

Morgan: Aren’t they so cute together?

Morgan asked Kerry pointing over to Jen and Chris.

Kerry: Yah, so are you and Frankie.

Frankie smiled and Morgan and him walked over to Jen and Chris. They sat across from them and started to kiss. Kate and Jesse decided they were tired and were going to go. They said bye and Jesse dropped Kate off at her house. After a quick hello to Kate’s parents, Jesse drove home. Kerry was supposed to go to Jen’s house that night. Chris was spending the night at Greg’s. Frankie asked Morgan if she wanted to go to the park, so they too left. Matt and Crystal had been dancing the whole night and decided to go relax and go to the boardwalk for a late dinner. Jen was hopping into Kerry’s car to go to her house when Chris invited the two girls over to Greg’s house. They said all right and followed to Greg’s house. Amanda was at a friend’s house and his parents were at a party and wouldn’t be home until around 3 in the morning. Chris sat down on the couch with Jen to watch TV. Kerry looked out the back window and noticed a hammock by the lake. She asked Greg if he could show her the lake. She lived on one too and loved it. When Kerry and Greg left, Chris held Jen in his arms. She was resting her head on his shoulder. Chris turned off the TV and Jen asked what was up.

Chris: Jen I really like you. You’re not like other girls, you’re really special and I love to be with you.

Jen: I like you a lot too, Chris.

Chris: Well I was wondering if you would like to be my girlfriend?

Jen smiled and looked up at him in the eyes. She kissed him for a couple moments.

Chris: Is that a yes?

Jen: Yes!

They went back to kissing and Jen was so happy. Chris was holding her in his arms and he felt so right.

Kerry and Greg were by the lake. All Kerry could notice were the stars. The sky was full of bright twinkling stars that night. Kerry laid down on the hammock and looked up. Greg came over and laid next to her. Kerry shivered and Greg put his arm around her to keep warm. They were talking about the stars when Kerry looked directly into Greg’s eyes. Greg leaned in and kissed her lips softly. Kerry smiled and bit her bottom lip.

Kerry: What was that for?

Greg: I really like you Kerry.

Kerry: You do? (shocked)

Greg: I have for a while, but I guess I just got afraid of what you would think.

Kerry: I really like you too, Greg.

Greg: Now I’m the surprised one.

Kerry: I have for a while too. I was really bummed when I found out you had a girlfriend so I guess I gave up.

Greg: Do you think that maybe you’d wanna go to a movie with me on Friday?

Kerry: I would love to.

Greg leaned in and kissed her for a few minutes. Jen and Chris walked down towards the lake to see what Kerry and Greg were doing. They were surprised to see them laying on the hammock making out. Jen thought how romantic it looked to kiss under the stars while laying on a hammock. Chris wrapped his arms around Jen’s waist. Jen looked into his eyes and wrapped her arms around his neck. They kissed too.  At around 12:30 the two girls thought they should go because they knew they couldn’t drive past 1. Everyone kissed goodnight and Jen and Kerry headed to Jen’s house. Chris turned to Greg and asked what happened with Kerry. All Greg could do was smile and laugh.
