The following day Kate woke up at 9:30. she packed a bag with a change of clothes, a towel, and sun tan lotion. She put on her cutest bikini that was black with pink polka dots on it. Then she slipped on Soffes, a tank, and flip flops. It was about 10 by the time she was all packed up so she went downstairs and ate a muffin real quick before she left. A little while later she heard the door bell ring and it was Jesse, so Kate put up her hair in a pony tail and she put on her sun glasses.

Kate: (yelled) Bye everyone! I’m leaving for the day!

No one responded so she just left.

Kate: Hey you.

She gave him a peck on the lips and got into his Land Cruiser.

Jesse: So….you’re looking happy today.

Kate: Yeah, why wouldn’t I be?

Jesse: I dunno, the whole thing yesterday and-

Kate: Jess, please, can we not start with that?

Jesse: Okay, sorry. So you ready to rent a wave runner?

Kate: Ha, Ha, Ha, very funny Jesse, I think I’ll just stay away from those.

Jesse: Yeah, that would be a start.

The rest of the way they listened to music and talked.

Jen woke up at 10:20

Jen: Oh crap! Look at the time!!!!

She jumped up and put on a palm tree bikini, Soffes, a tank, and flip flops. Then she grabbed a change of clothes for later and a towel. Chris would be there in 10 minutes so she grabbed a power bar. She heard the door bell ring and ran to get it.

Jen: Hey, hold on, come on in.

Chris: Ok.

He walked in and stood in the foyer.

Jen walked into the bathroom real quick and as she was walking out, noticed her hair.

Jen: OMG.

It was a complete frizz and she forgot to brush her hair. Real fast she put it in a bun.

Jen: Oke Doke, I’m all ready!

Chris: Alright, let’s get goin!

They got into his corvette and started out.

They talked the whole hour ride to the lake.

Jesse and Kate got there before Chris and Jen so they got out and walked around the parking lot. Then Kate saw their car. They parked and Jen ran up and started talking to Kate.

Chris: We’re going to rent a boat or whatever they have.

Jen: Ok sweetie.

Chris and Jesse walked away.

Kate: You and Chris are really tight huh?

Jen: Yup, he’s the greatest!

Kate: Cool.

Jen: You and Jesse?

Kate: I know this may sound crazy, considering I’ve only known him for 2 days, but, Jen, I think I love him. How crazy is that?!

Jen: OMG! That’s awesome!!!

Kate: Haha. Yeah, I guess it is.

They were talking for 10 minutes when the guys came back. They got a motor boat that was theirs for the day. The girls took their bags and got on board.

Jen and Chris were sitting on the bench in the back while Jesse drove and Kate was next to him.

After 2 hours, Jen was gonna water ski. The skis came on the boat, so they hooked her up and she floated around before they started. Jen wasn’t very good at water skiing and kept falling…every time she tried. Finally she gave up and came back on the boat.

They anchored in the middle of the lake and hung out the whole day, swimming and tanning.

Jen: Chris, can you help me with this lotion? I can’t reach my back…

Chris: Sure.

He was rubbing the lotion on her and giving her a massage at the same time.

Jen: Thanks.

She gave him a kiss.

The two girls were laying out on the top of the boat tanning while the guys were talking. After a couple hours it was time to go back to return the boat.

The couple said good bye to each other. And went their separate ways.

Chris took Jen back home and Kate went over to Jesse’s.

(At Jesse’s House)

Jesse: (yelling throughout house) Hello? I’m home!

No one answered.

Jesse: Well I guess it’s just the two of us, eh?

Kate smiled: I guess so.

She started kissing him.

Jesse: Wait one sec, I have to check the machine.

He checked the messages and most were for his parents, all except one.

“This is Loue, Jesse McCartney, last time I checked you were part of this band. And last time I checked, we did have rehearsal today. I don’t know where you were, but keep this up and your contract will be ending a little bit sooner then signed. Call me when you get this, we have to have a little chat. –the noise of a phone slamming down-“

Jesse: (mumbles) Shit.

Kate: OMG Jesse I feel horrible, this is all my fault, if it wasn’t for me and the lake today, you wouldn’t be in trouble with, uh, that guy.

Jesse: No, it’s ok, really, just hold on a sec I have to call him.

Jesse picked up the phone and dialed a number. Someone answered

Jesse: Loue?....yeah, this is Jesse….Yeah I know I’m sorry….There was just a misunderstanding…(he lied)….Yeah I know about the banquet……yeah I know I wasn’t invited……..yeah it was just Greg…..yah I hear it all the time to be more like him….where was I?.......um I was-…….no I don’t know where Chris was..(he lied again)………ok….next time I’ll be there….I prom- -beep-beep-beep-beep

Jesse: He hung up on me.

Kate: Maybe I should go, I mean, this obviously is not a good time considering you’re in trouble with him…and…..

Jesse: No, shhh.

He reached to turn off the light switch and leaned in to kiss Kate. They went over to the couch to cuddle.

After the long day Kate fell asleep in Jesse’s arms and after looking at Kate for a while, Jesse did too.

He woke up to the sound of the garage door opening. It was Lea, Timmy, and Mrs. McCartney.

Timmy: Jesse!!! And….stranger!!!

Lea: Latest girlfriend?

Kate: Maybe I should leave now?

Jesse: Yeah, I’ll take you home.

Mrs. McCartney: Well Jesse let’s not rush the girl out of the house, you could at least introduce her.

Jesse: Mom this is Kate, Kate this is my mom. Lea this is Kate, Kate this is Lea, Timmy…oh never mind about Timmy.

Kate: Nice to meet you.

Jesse: Ok, let’s go now.

Mrs. McCartney: Nice meeting you too. Don’t be home to late Jesse.
