Jenny was bored at home, so she decided to get online to check her email. She hadn’t been on in a while so she had 23 emails. She was on the 15^th email when a screen name she didn’t recognize popped up. She accepted the message from Spikes4u. Then she figured it out, it was Chris!

Spikes4u: whats up?

BlondieBaby: thinking of you, you?

Spikes4u: same

Spikes4u: i was thinking....

BlondieBaby: yeah?

Spikes4u: we could go to the lake tomorrow and rent a boat?

BlondieBaby: sounds cool! who else?

Spikes4u: jesse and kate maybe

BlondieBaby: alright, i'll call kate, u call jes

Spikes4u: okay h/o

BlondieBaby: kates for it...jesse?

Spikes4u: yeah jester's coming, we're gonna meet them at Lake Minnehaha at 12

BlondieBaby: cool

Spikes4u: i'll pick you up around, 11?

BlondieBaby: sounds good to me!

BlondieBaby: i gtg sweetie, cya tomorrow!

Spikes4u: ok cya by babe

BlondieBaby has signed off.

Jen signed off and got ready for bed. She turned out the lights and fell asleep dreaming of Chris…

Kate was sitting in her chair in her room talking to Jesse on the phone.

Jesse: So, can you tell me what happened today?

Kate: (playing stupid) Um, uh, what are you talking about?

Jesse: When we were…..yeah, and you had to suddenly leave?

Kate: (playing it off) Oh, that psh, no biggy, um, don’t worry about it?

She had tears in her eyes and he could hear them in her voice.

Jesse: Kate, you can tell me, it’s ok.

Kate: Jesse I told you it’s not a big deal!

Jesse: Ok, ok, I wont ask about it anymore, oka-

Kate: Hold on, I have a call waiting.

Jesse: Yeah, me too.

Kate: Hello?

Jen: Hey hey! It’s me!

Kate: Oh hey!

Kate was whipping the tears from under her eyes.

Jen: How you feeling? Kerry told me about the wave runners today.

Kate: Oh, that? Oh I’m fine.

Jen: Ok, good, well I was talking to Chris and we’re going to the lake tomorrow to get a boat or something and hang out. Wanna come?

Kate: Yeah, sure sounds cool! Who’s coming?

Jen: Chris is on the phone with Jesse right now, and if he can come it’s just the four of us.

Kate: Ok, sounds cool. What time?

Jen: Mineehaha at noon.

Kate: Ok, you and Chris riding together?

Jen: Yeah, we’ll meet you there.

Kate: Okay, see ya there, Jesse’s on the line.

Jen: Ok, see ya!

Kate: Jess?

Jesse: Yeah.

Kate: Chris tell you?

Jesse: Yeah, I was thinking to pick you up at 11?

Kate: Works for me.

Jesse: Ok, I have to go, my sister needs the phone or something. Later babe.

Kate: Bye sweetie, I’ll see you tomorrow.
