Jesse dove in and was feeling around for Kate’s body. He found her arm and pulled her to the surface. Greg helped him pull her up to one of the wave runners. Slowly Jesse brought her back to the dock with Kerry and Greg riding next to him. Greg got off to take Kate off and Kerry brought their runner into one of the lifts. Jesse did the same once Kate was off. Greg carried her back to the yard and laid her down. Kerry and Jesse came up and sat next to her. Since Kerry took a class in school on CPR and surprisingly passed, she started the steps. Slowly but surely Kate was regaining consciousness. Greg had a towel to wrap around her and Jesse was walking around nervous. Then Kate started to cough up water and everyone was so relieved. Greg gave Jesse the towel and Greg and Kerry walked inside to leave Jesse with Kate. Jesse put the towel around her shoulders and held her tight.

Kate: Jesse (barely a whisper)

Jesse: Yeah?

He was still holding her

Jesse: What’s wrong?

Kate: Jesse! I can’t breath! (still whispering)

Jesse: Oh

He let her go and she smiled.

Jesse: You had everyone so worried, we were about to call an ambulance.

Kate: What happened?

Jesse: Kerry came to close and knocked you off the wave runner and you went flying and I had to dive in and find you.

Kate: Oh, ok. Where are they?

Jesse: Inside.

Kate: Ok, can we go in?

Jesse: Yeah, but not yet…

Kate: Why not?

Jesse: There’s just one thing I want to ask you…

Kate: Ok, what is it?

Jesse: Will you be my girlfriend?

Kate looked up at him and smiled.

Kate: Yea.

Jesse helped her up and put his arm around her as they both walked into the house. Kerry was on the phone with all the girls.

Jenny was having a nice dinner with Chris and his mom in at their house.

Mrs. Trousdale: So Jenny, you and Chris…?

Jen: Um, we’re just friends, as far as I know…

Mrs. Trousdale: Looked a little more like friend of what I saw….

She teased.

Chris: Uh, mom-

Jenny’s cell started ringing.

Jen: Oh, it’s Kate, excuse me for a minute.

She left the room to answer it while Chris was telling his mom something.

Chris: Uh, mom can we not talk about me and Jenny going out? I’m gonna ask, but not here at dinner, and not in front of you, ok?

Mrs. Trousdale: Sure.

Jen: Hey!

Kerry: Jen…

Jen: What’s wrong? Are you ok?

Kerry: I’m ok, it’s just, it’s Kate.

Jen: OMG! What’s wrong?!

She was yelling.

Chris: Are you ok?

Jen: Yeah, hold on…

Kerry: We were on the wave runners and she fell off and she’s alive but not all there, if ya know what I mean?

Jen: Yeah, is she gonna be ok?

Kerry: Well, yeah, she’s just a little dizzy.

Jen: Ok, call me in a little if anything else happens, I’m at Chris’s house eating.

Kerry: Oh, ok, talk to ya later!!

Jen walked back to the table and put her phone in her purse.

Chris: Is everything ok?

Jen: Yeah, just Kate got into a little wave runner accident and she was kinda unconscious for a little and I don’t know the details but she’s ok now just a little dizzy, no big.

Chris: No big? Are you kidding me…is everyone else ok?

Jen: Yeah, don’t worry, it was just Kate.

Mrs. Trousdale laughed at the comment.

Jen: Well, I don’t mean it that way, haha, I meant, it was only Kate that was hurt, no one else.

Chris: Oh, ok.

They finished their dinner in peace and afterwards Chris was leaving to take Jenny home.

Chris: I’ll be back later!

Mrs. Trousdale: Ok, bye hun!

Jen and Chris got into the car and headed towards Jen’s house. They were close to her house, but he didn’t make the right turn.

Jen: Chris, that was my turn.

Chris: Yeah, I know….

Jen: Ok, so where are we going?

Chris: It’s only 8, I wanted to take you somewhere…

Jen: Key Doke

Chris pulled into a parking spot at a park.

Jen: Where are we?

Chris: You’ll see..

He went around to open the door for her and they both walked towards a big gate. He opened the gate for her and they both walked in. He took her to a metal bench, sat her down, and walked to a small little building. All of a sudden a huge fountain turned on in front of her and there was lights and water everywhere.

Jen: (gasp) OMG Chris this is so cool!

Chris smiled and sat next to her.

Chris: I thought you’d like it.

Jen: Did you do this all for me?

Chris: Yeah. Jenny, I really like you…

Jen: I really like you too Chris.

Chris: Will you go out with me?

Jen: Of course I will.

They both smiled and started to kiss.

After about 15 minutes they got back into the car and he took her to her house. When they got there they didn’t exactly get out of the car. They ended up making out for about 20 more minutes. Then he walked her to her door step and said good night with one last kiss. He watched her walk into the house until he drove off.

Jen yelled through the house she was home, got a coke, and headed upstairs. She called Kerry to see how Kate was doing. Kerry answered the phone and she said Kate was doing fine, just fine…..
