Welcome to Grand Haven.  It has been our choice for beach vacations since 1986.  The sand and surf, the ice cream, the fountain, the ice cream, the people watching, the ice cream and the restaurants (and the ice cream -- can you tell that we have two kids?) all come together to make it a great time.  Staying right in town at a house makes it all the better.  We bought The Yellow House in July 2004 from a private owner and enjoy using it ourselves as well as sharing it with rental guests.  And it is guest-ready, from bedding to kitchen gear.  There is an enclosed porch beyond our purple door that enters into the living room at the front of house.  The living room is five sided, the front corner being "clipped" -- it's very charming.  The huge dining room is in the middle of the first floor, with a bedroom adjacent.  The kitchen is also very large, with stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, a stocked appliance "garage" and a nook.  The full bath is adjacent to the kitchen.  There is a back hallway off of the kitchen with plenty of storage space and steps leading to the back door and the basement. Click on "Interior" up above for pictures.

The stairway up is on the right hand side of the house as you're looking at it.  There are two bedrooms upstairs -- a large "master", and another with bunk beds.  There is a half bath upstairs, with a large storage closet.

The yard, accessible from the back hall and gates on each side of the house, is fully fenced in.  There is a good-sized, kid safe, low deck in back, with a picnic table and a charcoal grill.  We also have a large pear tree next to the deck for shade.
