First Round Qualifying
Day1: The first day of the 2001 TSW 500 First Round qualifying showed a total of 94 drivers taking the track in hopes of maing the field. Several drivers turned some heads as they blistered the track in professional fashion. John Lane(GasBlasterDP) takes the early top spot with an awesome lap of 47.784seconds (200.402mph) just four thousandths off last year's track record. Jason Davis(Stellar11) rides in 2nd so far with a 47.788, just four thousandths off the current fast time. Patrick Baldwin(JG24fan), Gene Dalton(ARL_Itzfrog), and Dean Crandall(Craneris) round out the top five. The admins now get ready to host Day2 of first round qualifying for the TSW 500!
Day2: Day two of first round qualifying has completed and John Lane(GasBlasterDP) still holds the top spot. 145 drivers have now qualified for the 250 positions allowed to race their way into the TSW 500! Four days remaining in qualifying and Lane holds his breath hoping to take the pole for the 2001 TSW 500.
Day3: The track is silent for the night once again as day three comes to an end. John Lane still holds the top spot for another day as just three days remaining reaching halfway through first round. Fastest run of the night was John Zapor(zman88_DP) teammate to John Lane posting a lap of 47.792sec (200.368mph). His lap slots him 3rd in the current standings. 213 drivers have now qualified with the top four in the 47.7's. Brian Geddes(RACETECH) sits on the bubble for first round. Still plenty of qualifying to go with Geddes and Lane holding their breath.
Day4: Day four is now complete. Fast speeds were the order of the day with several over 200mph average. Most noteable was Chris Shearburn(CShearburn) blistering the track with a lap of 47.725sec (200.650mph) taking the top spot as well as shattering the track record set by himself just last year. The lap turned some heads as well as forced those who haven't qualified to turn some wrenches. Chris Weslowski(Chris-W27) managed a 3rd place spot thus far in qualifying. Over 300 drivers qualified with just two days remaining. Shearburn is now the one holding his breath as well as Dave Boothe(D_Boothe) who sits on the bubble spot in 25th.
Day5: Day five is now complete and that means only one more day for first round qualifying. 417 drivers have now qualified with Shearburn still holding the top spot. Fastest qual of the day goes to Tom Linser(TDL28) putting him 3rd. (SAMS_Lee) sits on the bubble; with prayers shouted out he hopes to stay there locking him into the Scott-Turf.com 175's. The tension rises, a day remains, many drivers looking for the top 25, many looking for the top 50, and even some looking for the top 250 just to be able to race their way in.
Day6: Final day of qualifying is now complete and Chris Shearburn takes the pole for the third straight year for the Online 500. Fastest run of the day goes to Brian Neal(MR_LS7) putting him 2nd on the order. Dean Crandall(Craneris) slots himself on the bubble spot in 25th locking him into the Scott-Turf.com 175's. 506 drivers qualified, with a few being deleted for multiple runs during first round. Second round beings monday with everyone outside the top 25th allowed to run.
Second Round Qualifying
Day1: Day one of second round qual was slow paced with not many showing up. Jason Bolton (slowpoke_bbrl) was the fastest of the day putting him 26th. His lap would have been good enough for 2nd overall if done during first round. The rest of the week should prove to be hectic once a few get bumped out.
Day2: Day two is now complete with Charles Weslowski (TRACKER_3) posting the fastest lap of the day putting him 27th on the grid. Round two seems to be a little faster than round one as even mroe drivers are in the 47.7's.
Day3: With day three complete more speed was shown as J.B. Smith(JB_Smith) was the fastest of the day putting him 28th. Smith is another one in the 47.7 second mark. Josh Stamey(Hardhead4) also set his lap in the 47.7 second mark putting him 29th. 523 drivers total have qualified with second round now reaching halfway which means qualifying for the TSW 500 is nearing completion.
Day4: Two days remain in qualifying for the TSW 500 which means Day four is now complete. Chris McGurk(gurklgr) posted the fastest lap of the day putting him 29th. Chris is another driver in the 47.7's. With two days remaining some drivers are starting to feel the pressure. The question for some on whether or not they can stay in the event still remains.
Day5: Day five was definitely an interesting one, not uncommon for Online 500 qualifying as seen in previous runnings of the event. The results from day five are under protest, but the sessions have been added to the qual list. However, as it says, qualifying is unofficial at this time. More runs were posted in the 47.7 second mark making getting into the Scott-turf.com 175's a very tough chore. Qualifying for the TSW 500 winds down as we head into the final day. Many drivers will not sleep well tonight, and many will not sleep at all... all in anticipation of what day six, the final day of qualifying will unveil.
Day6: Day six is now complete ending qualifying for the TSW 500. The top 250 are set, line-ups are set, and we are ready to go racing! Congrats to the top 250 qualifiers thus far! Next Saturday the 20th will start racing in the E Mains.
Week #1
E-Main Flight#1 was an incredible race with only four cautions. DonColliau ran a strong race finishing up with the win to put him into the D mains. Scott Prindle(Bones#19) came in second, (GATOR_) finished up strong in third with a great late race charge, Shawn Nix(nix94) charged to the fourth position followed by Dave Elliott(Dave.E_HCR) who rounded out the top 5.

E-Main Flight#2 held along side Flight#1 showed how patience is the key to success in Talladega racing, and qualifying means virtually nothing. (BlindzZ) charging from the 15th starting position took the win leading 34 laps of the 56 total. (cable@) took home second, (Snake_316) finished third, (fearthiss) brought home the fourth place trophy, and rounding out the top 5 was (ManTheI-HCR). These drivers looked ahead to the next task of transfering out of the D mains as well.

D-Main Flight#1 was the most intense of the weekend. Darin Sizemore(D_Sizemore) captured the win with an impressive 29 laps led starting in the fourth position. Racing was furious with patience coming out on top. (Marchin) came in second, (Spyder44) with a strong run upfront all race finished third, (nasburr) came home in fourth, and (J_Williams) rounded out the top 5. These drivers will be tough in the C mains run the next week.

D-Main Flight#2 again proved patience and a never-give-up attitude will get you ahead. The race was a wild one with (cheeseball26) taking the controversial win. He sat in fourth until the top 3 in all the excitement ended the race infront of the pacecar getting them DQed. THis moved everyone else up one also giving second to (fearthiss) who came from the E-mains as well as (BlindzZ). (DeanL42) and (TDMK_BBRL) came fourth and fifth transfering them to the C mains as well.

Week #2
WOW! What a day! Some great racing in the B and C mains as outlined below. The Scott-Turn.com 175's next week should be great! The entire day today went pretty smoothly, however, we got off to a little bit of a late start somehow. C-Main Flight#1 Showed that patience will get you results you want. (GMoran) made some great moved in the middle stages to put him on top towards the end of the race. He held on for the win followed very closely by (Smathers) and (CschulerJr) to round out the top 3. (SS-HOTROD) and (scotty59-HCR) took 4th and 5th repsectively after dicing side by side the last 10 laps. Only 6 cautions plagued the race which isn't too bad for a darn near full field.

C-Main Flight#2 was a great one! Track positions was key in this one with Mark Burford(Fearthiss) taking the win and turning some heads by coming all the way from the E Mains! (tdmacbee) fought a great battle and drove smart to finish 2nd. (dapup16) took 3rd, and another E Main resident Thomas Noll(BlindzZ) took another top 5 in 4th, and (Kicknchckn) rounded out the top 5. These driver slooked ahead to the B mains in hopes of making it to the Scott-Turf.com 175's. Only 6 cautions slowed the pace in this one as well.

B-Main Flight#1 was intense! Th ebottom "line" was used throughout most of the race starting almost at the begining. Pole sitter (Baseracer) got off to a good start but was quickly freight-trained back out of the top 10; later suffering damage in a crash originating mid-pack. (Smathers) took the win with (CschulerJr) showing patience at the begining of the race to move himself int he top 5 in the late stages. (Golfislife6), (GMoran), and (_Spud_) rounded out the top 5. These drivers keep their TSW 500 hopes alive as they raced their way into the Scott-Turf.com 175's.

B-Main Flight#2 was also an incredible race, for one driver in particular who may have made some Online 500 history. Track position was also key for this one as two tires early in the race and staying out the rest of the race seem to pay off for many of the drivers in the field. Mike_Grandy took the win using speed, experience, and some help from 2nd place (Python-1). (SteveTRS) and (Kicknchckn) finshed 3rd and 4th respectively. The major run of the day goes to Mark Burford(Fearthiss) who has come from the E-Mains to finish in the top 5 of the B mains and keep his chances of the TSW 500 field alive. The question is. Can he do the nearly impossible by making it all the way to the main event? We'll have to wait and see next week as he starts shot-gun on the field in the Scott-Turf.com 175 Flight#2 event. Thomas Noll(BlindzZ) also had a great run from the E main. He made it up to the top 5 on several occasions only to get into a crash with under 10 to go. A round of applause should go to him as well.

Week#3 - Scott-Turf.com 175's
Great racing in the Scott-Turf.com 175s! A lot of patience, side by side racing, and some strategy made for some great racing. Only four cautions in flight#1, and two cautions in flight#2. RubinBracin went from 4th to 1st in the final two laps to take the win in Flight#1. GastBlasterDP the second place qualifier won Flight#2 from the pole strutting his stuff before the 500 next week. CShearburn who qualified on the pole for the 500 found himself 4th in Flight#1. Fearthiss who made it all the way from the E mains suffered and early incident and did not transfer to the 500 but has locked up the FLM Hard Charger Award presented by Flyin Lightning Motorsports. The field is set and 30 drivers will take to the 2.660 mile Talladega Superspeedway for a full 500 mile race to test speed, patience, endurance, and all-around strategic thinking. Both winners of the 500 are in the race. Could we have a repeate winner, or will someone else be the third different winner in as many races? Below are the standings from the 175s. Week#4 - TSW 500 main event
Chris Shearburn led the field down to the green after taking the pole in first round qualifying. Along side was John Lane(GasBlasterDP) who took 2nd place in qualifying as well as winning the Scott-Turf.com 175 Flight#2 race. The two would lead the field down to start the 3rd Annual Online 500.
CShearburn was able to get most of the damage repaired, however the crew tore off the rear bumper leaving him a few mph off the pace. Unfortunately, many other drivers were not as fortunate as they were forced to retire from the event.
On lap 122 Ness retook the lead with Hill following closely in 2nd putting Harrell back to third. CShearburn and Shawn Bagby(RSBagby) tried despirately too get their lap back but were not able to make it to the front by the caution on lap 163 with Paul Matthews(Erick46) leading the field down. The leaders would pit and for the final time for many.
Caution fell once again on lap 173 allowing the field another shot to regroup and find away from Rimar. This also allowed CShearburn and Bagby to line up underneath the leader with a chance to get back on the lead lap. The green flew again on lap 177 and Shearburn would get the edge off turn 2 putting him back on the lead lap. As luck would have it the caution flew as the leaders came back around to take the yellow flag for the final time. CShearbun was able to drive all the way around to the tail end of the lead lap.
The green would fly on lap 181 with Rimar in the lead followed by teammate Gary Waters(Halffast-HCR) and Smith. CShearburn had moved up to 4th following the lapped car of John Lane(GasBlasterDP). Smith made several attempts to get underneath Waters, but slipped up in turns 1 - 2 allowing Lane and CShearburn underneath putting Shearburn to 3rd behind Waters and Lane.
