Here is the bottom line... you're voice DOES make a difference. It was only because of a massive outpouring of popular anger over illegal immigration that those in the Senate - who not only want the border unsecured, but erased altogether - were not able to railroad the largest immigration increase in American history through the Congress.

The vote is in, and the winners are listed in red after the recommendations.

Statewide Offices

Governor - Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) or Art Olivier (L)

The Governator certainly has his problems, and he has shown that his beliefs are very pliant according to the varying political winds. This is both bad and good news. Recent times have shown that he can and will bow to pressure if enough people get angry. The bad news is that - in his heart - he is still an open borders advocate.

He's a flip-flopper. Phil Angelides is just a flop.

Angelides is bankrolled primarily by real estate developers - who, obviously, have a big stake in making sure California's population grows to the bursting point, and that no action is ever taken against the construction industry - the country's largest hirers of illegal aliens.

Angelides, and the Democrats in general, have shown that they make no distinction as to who gets the benefits of the many tax increases they are proposing. Many of these proposals are carefully worded so that "Californians" means "anyone who is physically inside California's borders, regardless of legal status."

Third Party Alternatives - Art Olivier (Libertarian) - has come out firmly against benefits for illegal aliens.

DO NOT VOTE FOR Peter Camejo (Green)- staunch advocate of full citizenship rights for illegal aliens. The Green Party has become a laughing stock, jettisoning virtually every liberal democratic value they ever had in creating what is essentially an out and out Communist party.

WINNER - Arnie by a landslide!

Insurance Commissioner- Steve Poizner (R)

It is vitally important that Cruz Bustamante not win.

You may wonder how someone can use the office of insurance commissioner to expand welfare for illegal aliens. Trust me on this... Cruz Bustamante will find a way!

It is well documented that Bustamante's raison d'etre is the full legalization of illegal aliens and making sure our southern border is not only open, but erased altogether.

Bustamante is, quite simply, a dangerous radical - who actively seeks to undermine American society. He should not be allowed inside Sacramento's city limits, and the very best thing that can come out of this election is to make sure that he is unemployed! DO NOT VOTE FOR CRUZ BUSTAMANTE!

WINNER - Poizner by not so big a landslide!

S.F. Representatives

U.S. House - Dist. 8 - Mike DeNunzio (R)

Ah... Nancy Pelosi. What can you say - good or bad - that hasn't already been said about her?

Here's the bottom line... Those of us concerned about illegal immigration must come to terms with the fact that Ms. Pelosi is one of the most consistently PRO-ILLEGAL ALIEN LAWMAKERS IN THE COUNTRY. She talks a good game about standing up for American workers, but the votes say something quite different.

Personally, although she has served this district quite well, I cannot in good conscience vote for her.

Now, Mike DeNunzio (R) is no prize pig himself. The Republicans frankly made a mistake running a rabid right-winger against Pelosi. They would have had a much better chance running a moderate. But still, DeNunzio's stance is clear, and clearly needed.

WINNER - Pelosi, of course.

U.S. Senator - Richard Mountjoy (R)

Senator Feinstein is a bit of a mystery. While, in the past, she could be counted on to stand up for American workers and reject wholesale immigration increases, she has taken a marked pro-illegal alien stance in recent years. She couches her positions by claiming to be concerned about labor shortages (particularly in agriculture), but when push comes to shove, she seems to have abandoned her old ways to push for massive immigration increases.

Again, I cannot in good conscience vote for her.

There's absolutely NO QUESTION as to where Mountjoy stands on the issue! His bio states that he is an "illegal immigration consultant," and he has made the issue a linchpin of his candidacy.

Winner - Feinstein, of course.
