"Light casts its spell. The sunlight on the marshes, the joyous sensation of color splashed with color on a canvas, the play of light on the curve of a handmade bowl, the glitter of light caught in a gemstone -- all hold inspiration for me. Sometimes it is the explosion of color and shape and form, creating a riot of color in an abstract work.  Others, it is the capturing of a pastoral marsh with paint and brush.. Smooth works of pottery made by an artist's hand connect with the fingers of the person who is drawn to pick up the piece and feel its texture.  The warmth of gemstones on the skin of the wearer remains after the piece is removed...echoing its human connection.

Whether it is through paint and cloth, through twisted silver and polished gem, or the transformation of clay to creation, all speak of the artist's soul.. Art reflects the light of the mind and the voice of the soul."
