Note: Due to a last-minute editorial change made at the publisher, the opening text for the book URANUS is incorrect. As printed the book states that the planet has an ocean and that it is very hot. The following is a more accurate reflection of the planet which is -357 degrees Farenheit:

Uranus is a giant ball of gas and icy liquid
Can you swim on Uranus?
No, you cannot.
This liquid is not like the water on Earth.
The atmosphere on Uranus is made of hydrogen, helium and methane gas.
The methane gas absorbs red light from the sun.
This makes the surface look blue-green.
Pressure below the atmosphere turns the gas to liquid.
This liquid is very cold.
The liquid is poisonous.
The pressure would crush you.
Uranus may look like an ocean but looks are deceiving.

The publisher has promised to reissue the book with corrections.

Writing for children is a joyful endeavor.
It takes heart, passion, and one endearing story that yearns to be told. As with all things, commit to putting your own ideas on paper. A story left untold will never blossom or touch the heart of a reader.

Now start writing. Thinking about it is not the same as doing it!
