This text has been reviewed by native speakers from different countries, Spain and Cuba. There were very few items upon
which the reviewers did not agree. Those few are listed below:
1. pool (una alberca, page 27, in The Fun Spanish) more traditional is la piscina. Una alberca is more of a man made
swimming area.
2. nest (la jerarquia, page 99 in The Fun Spanish) also known as el nido.
3. para (page 151 in The Fun Spanish) actually means to stop and is commonly used for "to stand". To stand
is "estar de pie", meaning to be on foot. Parando in the text should be parado, which translates literally to be
stopped. Standing does not translate literally.
