Return to: Photo index Fireworks photos All photo thumbnails These are the 3 8" guns that were fired during the show, and one 4" gun that was reloaded a couple times during the show.  One of the 8" guns was fired as part of the opener, another about midway through the show and the third one as part of the finale.  Under California law, these must be fired electrically.  Except for the finale racks, the rest of the show was fired manually (using a road flare).  The two guys in the background are the captain and first mate (also a licensed captain) of the tugboat that towed the barge into position.
