About Us
John Zipperer and Friends is a collection of Los Angeles area musicians dedicated to sharing the joy of music. Believing that
music has no age or chronological barriers the band offers musical styles spanning many decades and covering many genres.
The JZ and Friends signature sound takes a unique approach to highly recognizable songs offering a familiar yet original musical
experience with “Eclectic Acoustic” renditions of Rock and Roll, Blues, Standards, Bossa Nova and Jazz songs.
Adding another unique aspect to their performances, John Zipperer and Friends encourages other musicians and singers to sit
in with the band, hence the “and Friends”. Affording others the joy of making music is the band’s way of
creating a wonderful connection to its audience.
