JWKC recommends doing extensive research before sending a manuscript to be read or published. Legitimate agents and mainstream commercial publishers do not charge you for the privilege of representing or publishing your work. We also recommend contacting the Better Business Bureau as well as conduct an Internet search on any unfamiliar business.
