The Crit Nook

(These sessions here are for all those who are not participating in a track or general conference and would just want to breeze in for a one-on-one critique.)

Eileen Robinson will run 45-minute critiques that include:

1Submission of one complete picture book (due October 20th), or first 10 pages with synopsis of a middle-grade or young adult novel, prior to conference (K-3 nonfiction is also welcome)

2Critiquing two pages of a new story on the spot (no cover letters).  This means you have the opportunity to be critiqued twice!  Bring the first couple of pages of another story you are working on and it will be critiqued at the conference.

3. Giving on the spot writing exercise that addresses a particular challenge related to that author’s writing

4.  From craft to marketing to breaking in - Q&A

Homework Assignments: None

Submissions: Send manuscripts through www.f1rstpages.com.  Click “Submit Here” at the bottom of the left-hand page.
