Marjorie Edwina Moore was the daughter of Mae Miller Blakeney Moore and Edward
Moore. She had an older brother, Carleton Moore, and a younger sister, Mary Kathleen Moore. She worked as a nurse in San Francisco.
Marjorie married Richard Guy Kilburn, and when their first child, Peter Kilburn, was 18 months old, they went to live in American
Samoa. There she conceived their second child, Blakeney Kilburn, but had to come back to America when she became sick with
what they thought was ptomaine poisoning. She recovered, but never reunited with Richard Guy.
Marjorie was a wonderful writer, and shared many of her early memories with her
family. Follow the links below to read some of her writings.
