Most of us experience
color all around us on a daily basis, yet many of us take the sensation
of viewing color for granted. Color theory is the study of the physics
and biology of color, as well as practical applications for color
in our world.
On
the following pages, you'll learn the basics of color theory, models,
and schemes, and tips for using color effectively in designing for
print or Web, and getting the most out of color in your design.
The Color Science and Biology of Color modules were completed in
Summer 2003. The Color Properties and Color Models modules will
be completed for Fall 2003's IT 5110 class. The remaining modules
will follow later.
This
project is designed for college students who wish to learn the basics
of color theory and about using color effectively in their designs.
