Innovative Ideas to Help Navigate Difficult Economic Times

"I shall look for whatever success may attend my public service;..."
John Quincy Adams' Inaugural Address, March 4, 1825

We ask for your vote for the position of Oviedo City Council Group 4, November 2, 2010.

Looking to the Past...

Looking to the Past to Gauge Our Future was written by Judith in

October 2009. The essay, as read by Judith, is about 3 minutes in length. It is meant to be an introduction to our web site. But, we also hope that the essay will be a source of inspiration after we present some difficult choices that we may have to make as a Community.

Running a campaign is a significant challenge. It is difficult to get a message out to as many people as possible in a short time. This web site is a great way to quickly introduce ourselves and educate visitors on the key issues of the campaign.
We had the opportunity to seek office in November 3, 2009. Although our efforts did not result in our election to Council Seat 1, we gained continued insight into how we can be of service to the Citizens of Oviedo.

There are still very serious issues that continue to confront Oviedo and many other municipalities across the United States. One of the most serious issues is falling revenues.

We can resolve to confront the issue in a straight forward manner or we can choose to react instead of preparing our Citizens and our governmental structures for difficult choices.

We will present Positions Papers as the campaign continues. The first item under our Position Papers link is an essay that was written as a reflection on our last campaign and as a segue into our current efforts. We do not have easy answers to the concerns that may confront us. But, we can resolve to be the generation that will make the hard choices so that our children will not have to.

In order to get our message out, we solicit your donations. But, we are sensitive to the current economic climate. We have limited donations to $18.00 per person. Once we reach $1,500, we will not accept any more donations.
We hope you'll find the information you need on this site to make an informed decision. We look forward to hearing from you if you have any questions or need further information.
