The Persian Diaspora nearly came to a violent end with “Haman’s” Genocidal plans.  Indeed, a HOLOCAUST was in the making, it was averted with the active participation of the Jews in Persia!

Queen Esther and Mordechai played pivotal roles in saving Persian Jewry.  The Diaspora Jewish Community liquidated 75,800 in total of their enemies, approximately 2,355 years ago. (Megeelas Esther Chapter 9.)

Chazal - our sages declared “Masah Ovous Simon Lbonim” - Our ancestors’ deeds are for us to emulate!  Indeed, in those days and today, as we recite on Purim in the Al Hanissan (Miracles) Prayer (And for the miracles, and for the salvation, and for the mighty deeds, and for the victories, and for the battles which you performed for our forefathers in those days and today.)

(In the days of Mordechai and Esther, in Shushan, the capital, when Haman, the wicked, rose up against the Jews and sought to destroy, to slay, and exterminate all the Jews, young and old, infants and women, on the thirteenth of the twelfth month which is the month of Adar, and to plunder their possessions. But You, in Your abundant mercy, nullified his counsel and frustrated his intention and caused his design to return upon his own head and they hanged him and his sons on the gallows.)

We always celebrate the demise of our enemies by feasting, as we do on Purim.  As it states in the Talmudic Tractate of Sihmaichos, (Chapter 2, Halacha 10), “We attire in holiday garments, eat and drink merrily, that an enemy of the Almighty perished.”

Jewish Militias are to be established as Jewish Defense Leagues worldwide!! The religious moral of the Purim Holiday is to combat anti-Semitism with MIGHT!!!!  May we be worthy to greet the Moshiach, (the real Jewish Messiah) speedily in our days!!
