Hi All – Time to fold up the umbrella, put on your shorts, and weed the garden. We had a cold, wet June but the afternoon rain at our picnic did not dampen our spirits one bit – congratulations to Jessica Decker for the BOB-BOS Otters and Brokens she brought down from New York. And thanks to Pat,Charlotte, Harold, and Ina-Mae Schmidt for bringing their animals in from Connecticut, with news from Donna and the Northeast Rex Club. Wendy Feaga and George Long did a good job judging over 60 fine Rex on the table, and we enjoyed our meeting, Rex Auction, raffle, and plenty of tasty food. Mark your calendar now for June 12, 2010 at Fleetwood Park for our Rex Picnic Show.

On a sad note, we missed our good friend, Judy Weaver, who lost her battle with cancer on May 15. Skip, Gary, and I attended her funeral service to give our condolences to her husband, Carl, and to present a beautiful flower display from the Club. Judy was a wonderful friend and supporter of our Club activities and she is missed very much.

Our six Rex Specialty Shows this Spring season were well attended in spite of our economic hardships and I want to thank everyone who has helped make our Club activities such a success. We welcomed several new members this year and benefit from the growth of our organization. Good luck with growing out some good junior Rex this summer, and we will see you in Lebanon on October 10 for our Fall Classic Rex Specialty Show,

Your president, Rick
