WELCOME!
Welcome to "Duck Heroes"...located in The Woodlands, TX (about 25 miles north of Houston).  We are a master planned community that cares for our environment and seeks to live in harmony with nature.  We have a lot of trees, a lot of ponds and...a lot of ducks!
 
 
MISSION:  
We promote respect for the ducks in our local ponds and lakes.  This includes reminding people not to feed them and  posting "Brake For Ducks" signs at ponds with heavy traffic nearby.  Through this website, we hope to educate our own community and share ideas with others facing similar "duck issues" in urban/suburban settings.
 
 
PHILOSOPHY:  
When a community encroaches upon a wildlife rich environment for the sole purpose of enjoying that environment...they must become responsible stewards of the wildlife there.

NEXT "BRAKE FOR DUCKS" EVENT: 
 
Since it's a record breaking HOT summer here in The Woodlands, our next "Brake For Ducks" event may have to wait until the Fall when things are a little cooler outdoors.  Until then, we are currently trying to get a few more signs put up to keep our local ducks (...and traffic) safe.  Please check back for updates on our next event.  Have a great summer!
