Howdy Folks!
Here is some information on the Wellington C&W LineDance classes we give.
We will mainly teach C&W straight-forward linedances that help teach the steps, as well as help us warm everybody up. When there is interest and time permits, we may at times also teach some couples dances.
We try to pick fun linedances that also everyone can readily do. We also will occasionally put in linedances especially for those of you who are already experienced linedancers. So we believe we have a good mix of linedances.
There is no charge for these classes we are doing for you, our friends and neighbors! For those of you that may want to, we will have a tip jar if you'd like to help with the expenses we have putting the class.
The classes focus on C&W linedances easily done with people having no experience dancing. So bring a friend or 'significant-other' ESPECIALLY if they have 'two left feet'! :-)
The dances we are looking at doing are listed following this message. (We include the URL to a WORD copy on our personal web site of the full index of C&W linedances we do and teach by way of background.)
These linedances will normally be done in the center of the dance floor, with occasionally a dance in a circle around the outside of the dance flow.
If there is interest, we can also teach basic couples dances, including 2-step, swing, polka, waltz, and occasional C&W so-called 'pattern' couples dances.
We'll make every effort to have step descriptions for all dances we teach available on this website.
All of these dances can be done to either good C&W music or to fun pop and big band music, e.g., Count Basie, Glen Miller, and Benny Goodman.
Come out Tuesday afternoon at 1:00pm and have fun with us learning and doing these dances.
Ya'll come!
