| A typical Laika position. |
Laika considers herself the queen of the house. It is not uncommon to find her lounging in strange places, like behind
the TV, in the dog bed, and in the pantry, to name a few. Laika is a pure French-bred Russian Blue, but even with her fancy
blood lines, My family still got her at a shelter. Laika is our oldest cat, (15 years old) but age hasn't caught up with
her yet, she is still in top shape.

Maka is our youngest cat (8 years old). Even though she is not a kitten any more, she still acts like one! When we first got
Maka, she was still a fluff ball. A friend of mine found her in their garrage, so my family decided to give Maka
a home. You may ask why we called her Maka. Well, in Hawiian, Maka means eyes, so I guess it's not such a bad
name for a cat! Maka's mother was a feral cat, so I have no idea what breed of cat Maka is. All I know
is she is a loveable little kitty with just a hint of mischief in her.

| Gus in his favorite place- the bed. |
Gus is the lone man-cat. He is a year younger than Laika, (14 years old) but still Laika prefers to sleep with Maka.
Gus has a trully unique feture that not many cats have- he is a polydactal. That means he has more than the usual twenty toes
that most cats have. All together, Gus has twenty-four toes. (seven on each of his front paws) This makes him look like he
is wearing baseball mits on his front paws. Even though he as twenty-four toes, Gus leads an everyday cat life.
