What a spectacular country! A beautiful loop driving route to Glacier National Park, and returned through lovely Priest Lake, Idaho.

Grand Tetons and Yellowstone (Under Construction)

Spectacular mountain scenery, geysers, and abundant wildlife describe this popular area. Herein I describe my favorite hikes, drives, and river run, and tell you about some relatively inexpensive places to stay in this very expensive area.

Salt Lake City and Provo, Utah area (under Construction)

There are some surprisingly beautiful forested mountains in this area, some scenic drives, and a very interesting cave. Also, there is a scenic back country route to the Grand Tetons from here, with good camping, which I describe.

Las Vegas, Nevada

I have spent more than my share of time in this glitzy city. I can tell you about my favorite things to do there that do not involve gambling, and some inexpensive places to stay. And, when you get tired of the city stuff, there are some very beautiful places to visit within driving distance of the city. But for gambling, except for a little tiny bit of advice, you are on your own.

Washington, D.C. (Under construction)

Every U.S. citizen should spend a week in this city. History permeates both the city and the surrounding area, and may areas have a great deal of natural beauty. The buildings are fascinating, especially if you get your Congressperson to get you tours of them. I will tell you about my favorite places to visit, some cheap places to stay and eat, and how to get around on public transportation.

Southern Louisiana

Swamps, plantations, and jazz. Nice for a week in the Spring.

Cheap Travel

Free Frequent Flyer Miles on the Internet

One of my passions is to fly for free. I have been very successful at doing so. My last eight international tickets were paid for by miles I acquired for free from means other that actually flying. It is really quite easy. There are many, many free deals on the internet that give thousands of frequent flyer miles for doing almost nothing. Here is a guide to my favorites.
